That outfit kinda scared me when I first saw it o.o;

I'm probably the only one who thought that outfit actually looked a lot better on that model than Ayu.....Ayu's way too short and a great part of the dress was eaten up by the skirt because of her shortness =/

Agree agree... many dresses from the runway don't look good on celebrities because of their height.... but that model is scary. looking.

I was going to buy a sweater from them ... it was roughly $400.00 ... but then it went out of season lol ... sooooo I'm guessing that dress is way up there :P

I'm fairly certain that Ayu picked up the dress right as it was available for purchase from the designer. In Japan designer labels are a BIG thing among women, definitely moreso than here.

The color looked better on Ayu due to her honeyed asian skin undertone to mesh with the green, but the overall cut of it doesn't suit her in the least. It dwarfs her and makes her look shorter than she is (5'1", doesn't have much height in the first place =P). The skirt especially doesn't help since Ayu is decently proportioned, that skirt is tailored to look better on someone who's leggy like the model. Ayu's also is wearing the skirt higher.

However, the model does not have a pinched waistline (ie: hourglass shape) and judging from the space between her chest and the cups, she doesn't have the adequate boobage for the dress. Ayu's definitely sporting some bra-insert push-up action in that pic so the chest portion looks fine on her.

Ayu's face looks better since she kept her makeup clean and natural. If the model laid off of the sharply plucked eyebrows and the Egyptian Kohl around her eyes, she may look a bit more attractive as opposed to the "I'll swallow your soul o_o" look she's sporting.

I never liked that green dress but I agree that Ayu looks better in it than the model. As for strange-looking dresses like this one... who would really wear them outside of photo shoots? What a waste.

i can't believe i actually get to see some one else wearing that greeny dress... when i was looking at the lyrics of memorial address, i was mesmerised by the dresses ayu was wearing until i saw the "broccoli dress" and i must say it is simply out of place! esp the feathery part of the dress.

i think ayu look nicer in it than this model... this model doesnt look nice in this outfit... in fact it doesnt suit this model ... i think the model is too tall for that outfit and skinny =P

It definetly looks better on the model. And I don't think she's ugly! If I had a scanner I can SHOW you ugly! I bought this Japanese fashion magazine called "Gap Press" which does issues on the fashion shows around the world and I bought "Paris Haute Couture, fall-winter 2003" and there was a FREAKY looking bunch of models!

I hate to resurrect an old thread, but I have the issue of Vivi, and it's the same girls from the pictures scanned in this thread. However, it has the dresses, in many different colors, on various different models.

I wouldn't say that the designer is ripping off Ayu, it's more likely that the designer made that dress for Ayu, then featured them all in his/her show.

In that same issue of Vivi, Ayu is photographed wearing many different designer's work, so I would assume that Ayu is constantly featureing many different fashion designer's work.

For the tree dress, I thought it was the most god aweful thing I have ever seen. I can't believe she wore that for a album insert >_<; She looks like a tree after it's rained.

Ayu looks more sassy like if shes ready to pounce on ya! o.o ... she looks better then the evil model.

The magazine that I scanned the page from only had that one picture of the models in the dress. I'm quite curious to see how all the other ones look besides the green and gold. What other colors did the dress come in?
