Kylie and Dannii Minogue. Like them or hate them?
 

So Kylie Minogue is responsible for the European hit that broke into the American market "Can't Get You Outta My Head". Her sister Dannii Minogue is less known but she does good dance/techno/trance/pop as well. So what do you guys think of them?

I don't like them - as I don't like those styles of music. That Can't Get You Outta My Head song is the worst thing I've ever heard - right up there with Cheeky Girls. I don't think their stuff sells well because of the music, it's only because they flash every and any bit of flesh they can, not because it's any good. At least, that's the way it is in Kylie's case.

I think Kylie's music is actually pretty nice. She's got some good songs, nice vibe, etcetera.

I don't give a crap about Dannii though.

I love Kylie her music style is so cool and different and she has such a lovely personality...But I don't like her sister she sucks.

I'm not that interested in Kylie and dislike her biggest hit (Can't Get You Outta My Head, unfortunately true) but I really like some of her other songs, like Come Into My World. Since there's no "OK I guess" option I voted love Kylie. She's someone whose singles I'll get if they're good but I don't care about her love life, her fashion choices or her albums. Dannii is pretty pointless, I think.

I like but I dont interest with their voices... too bad... ^^

I liked Kylie better before she went into that Techno/dance phase and tried to be revealing sexy even when she's...not really that young anymore.

As for Dannii...I never heard from her again after "All I wanna do". You know...apparently Dannii was in the industry first as a kid THEN they found Kylie when she went along with Dannii. . .

I think both are good , i have Kylies Body Language and Fever albums and I have dled Dannii's Neon Nights.

Kylie's stuff is pop with an electronic music feel to it , it's catchy and i like it. and come on , she's not THAT old. Isn't she younger than Madonna ?

Dannii's music has a little edgier electronic sound to it , it's not for everybody or as pop as Kylies stuff. but i think Dannii's newest album is a lot better than Kylies.

I neutral on this subject. They had good and bad songs. It depends on your subjective view. Yes Kyle is old like in her 30 something. Hey you only have one time in life so make the most out of it.

Kylie is all right in my book...her songs are nice, especially Love At First Sight...I loved that song the moment I heard...

Well some time ago I couldn't stand Kylie but now since "Choclate" I think she's okay and somehow she is very sexy. Dannii was never a point of my interest but the music she makes is okay.

here are my recommendations for both artists.

Kylie: Love at first sight, Come into my world, It's in your eyes, Slow, Red blooded woman, Can't get you outta my head, Breath.

Dannii: Who do you love now?, Put the needle on it, I begin to wonder, Vibe on, Don't wanna lose this feeling.

vibe on is gross imo lol, who wants to hear about dannii getting it on with a vibrator :P

lol i think vibe on is the funniest song ever. it's an ode to vibrator's that actually has a catchy melody... "plug it in gimmie my vibe on...give me vibrations..." lol anyway, the song cracks me up specially at the begining when the guys are talking about her "new toy" and the lyrics are drop dead funny

Can't stand them, even though I only know of Kylie. I'm sure Dannii sounds just the same or worse. That "Can't get you outta my head, boy your love is all I think about" was just.. :tired I heard that stupid song everywhere. It poisoned my brain. :weep

Kylie's pretty good, although "Body Language" didn't really do much for me. And if you think she's "sexy" and revealing, read the lyrics to her sister's songs ... o.O

I wouldn't call what the Minogues do good by a LONG stretch. There's far better dance music out there which doesn't make my ears bleed.

Love Kylie. I havent really heard much of Dannii.

Have seen Kylie live in Sydney twice (On a night like this tour and Fever tour). Her shows are really amazing. Comparable to Ayu in a way - costume changes, elaborate sets, dancers, lights, great to watch.

For awhile I was a HUGE Kylie fan, but after the release of her 'Body Language' CD, I've been more insterested in Dannii. Her latest, 'Neon Nights,' is WAY better than 'Body Language!' =D But, overall, I do enjoy both sisters.

i like them both, but kylie is my favorite, i love her work, her music is so sexy, even in the new age retro style (which i love btw).....i would love to see her in concert. her sis is okay though, but not compared ^^; i love kylie's fever album the best, but body language is not bad either......yeah i like her *shrugs*

Kylie has a greatest hits out on November 29th ... Ultimate Kylie, it features like 34 songs from her 14 year career from I Should Be So Lucky to Chocolate, and includes two new songs, one of which "I Believe In You" is co-written with Scissor Sisters.

They are both great ... I was really mad on Kylie, but then I found Shania and AYU.

The only album I have of Kylie's is Fever. I like some of the songs on there a lot. Namely, Love at first sight and Fever.

I love them both, probably Kylie a little more. And who cares if she's old, Ayu will be old someday too, should she stop making music? (If you say yes we'll shank you!) But seriously, Kylie's been making good hits for a while, and she has good remixes. My favorite song of hers right now is "Giving you up" which is a LOT more recent than "Can't get you out of my head." You should give it a listen if you have a chance!

Alot of Aussies hate the minogue's (mainly Dannii) but it does not matter since they have the UK & the rest of Europe and Australia's music industry is worth nothing... Kylie is the one who gave it what little wealth it has maybe some olivia as well.

Alot of Australians are just try hard american wannabes with bad taste in music.

Also Australians have tall poppie syndrome that's why they hate all there own singers after there first albums.

I like Kylie and I've never heard of Dannii's songs.

I ain't Australian but I monitor the ARIA charts weekly. This is very true, I remember Hips Don't Lie being very bloody popular there, even all the Pussycat Dolls stuff. But there's always some decent music hanging in the charts, like Nelly Furtado's Promiscuous and Maneater. Stacie Orrico's I'm Not Missing You also reached Top 30, not too bad.

I wonder, why are Australian sales so low? It's a pretty big region, but the platinum and gold standards aren't really challenging. Delta went like 14x Platinum but she sold a little less than a million. Weird..

Our sales are so low because the population of Australia is only 21 million people. Our land mass is almost the same size as mainland America and they have 300 million people.
Our music market would be powerful if we had a bigger population.

I love Kylie she has always been my favourite singer.

I remember the actual mayhem that started here when Kylie released Can't Get You Out of My Head... it was just EVERYWHERE. I didn't like the song that much, I liked her later releases a lot more. I loved Love at First Sight and Come Into My World. I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out how did they make the video for Come Into My World... I also liked "Slow" and it was the only song I really liked from Body Language album. She basically faded away in here with the release of it, as only Slow had some presence on the charts, other singles didn't do any well...

One thing I can tell for sure is that I'm really proud of Kylie and I really admire her for how she fought cancer. It must have been a very hard time for her. If things ever go so bad in my case, she will be an inspiration for me to keep going.

Here, Slow didn't do well. Even Chocolate did better. But Red Blooded Woman was very very successful and overplayed.

I remember I saw the video for Red Blooded Woman few times on tv here and heard it few times on the radio, but nothing else from Kylie after that... I'll be looking forward to her new album.

i love them both but danii reminds me a little bit of holly valance .. just a little bit ... but enough to mention it.
