Pretty self-explanatory... But to those who think i'm talking about him as a person, i'm not... HIS MUSIC... Him being eccentric should not affect whether you think his music is good or not. And please no debates on whether he's guilty or not, there's already an old thread on that... And pick either Yes or No, if you like only one album I would consider that a yes... :rolleyes

Anyway, when I was really little I loved his music, but I was really afraid of him, the 'Thriller' video scared me LOL... I kinda stopped liking him... Well recently I dug out my old 'Thriller' album and I was hooked. I love "Wanna be Startin' Somethin'", "Beat It", and "Thriller"... The Bad album is cool too! 'Dirty Diana' and 'Smooth Criminal' (Alien Ant Farm's version sucks ass by the way...) 'Man in the Mirror'... :cool

And let's not forgot pre-Thriller... 'Off The Wall'... Pretty groovy!!!!! :cool

But sadly IMO, the more white he got, the more his music started to suck... 'Dangerous' had good album tracks and terrible singles IMO...

Anyway he used to be so good live too... Amazing concerts I think... I think one he like flew off in a space suit... I was in amazement...

I like SOME of his songs, so I can't vote either way.

Also, it's been good in here so far but just a warning - be sure and tiptoe around certain issues regarding MJ.

My boyfriend's named after the song 'Ben' which I think is funny casue it's about a rat... but yeah I like Billy Jean. And remember the free willy song? We used to sing that song in music in elementary school. *sigh*

I don't like him as a person but I really do like his older music and when he was black. But then when he went white, all H E Double Hockeystick broke loose.

He's a LEGEND/ His music can never be forgotten. I like alot of his songs like Earth Song, You are not alone, A Stranger in Moscow, Dangerous and SCREAM!! And many more. His stage appearance is absolutely amazing if you've seen his concert videos~! His live singing is flawless XD And he's a PROFESSOR dancer :love

Alot of my friends don't like him because of what he has become now. But no matter, I sincerely regard him as the KING OF POP for all his past releases :mischief

He's a real talent performer in dancing and singing. So far, no one can yet be compared to him IMO :P

I love his old music, especially his Thriller and Bad albums. But currently I'm not sure if I like HIM persay, but I like his old music, he scares me nowadays, I'm not sure whether I would defend him or not with that whole child molestation thing O__o

I love his songs! Sure today he might be ummm really "different" now but he sure was great before!

I am a fan yes. I loved most of his stuff right up until 2001 with Invincible. Now everyone and their mother in the west sounds like that, and it bores me to tears. The last new track we got, One More Chance, was a weak R.Kelly affair that was incomplete and sounded more like the crap companies churn out in bulk for teen acts. Michael's vocal in it was amazing, full of emotion, but the backing track was just meh. It was released before it was completed to his standards, so I think he was just as disappointed with it. If he would just stop messing about with collaborators and use tracks he writes on his own he'd have an amazing album on his hands. A couple of tracks he wrote on his own on Invincible really stood out, as they were wonderful tracks. He started something incredible with Bad, and it's just a pity he didn't continue using his own pieces in albums, because I know he'd have well surpassed that by now. HIStory was a really personal album, and was some of his best work to date, I want to see more of that rather than something to just sell.

Yeah MIchael Jackson is cool, I don't really listen to all those rumors about him. I believe he is a good person and didn't do any of that stuff.

I love his old music for what it's worth. I also liked him in Space Channel 5 XD (because that game rocks my socks)

Anyway, I downloaded his BAD Live In Yokohama concert. It was excellent man, and it was pretty funny seeing the Japanese fans sing and dance. Dirty Diana and Smooth Criminal are such good songs (Alien Art Farm did a crappy rendition IMO). Glad this thread was brought up. *goes to listen*

Yeah, I'm a fan. I remember on my 18th birthday, I was online and happened to read an article that was biased against him. I had a neutral opinion at that point, but I decided to look a little closer, beyond what the media was portraying. Listened to some of his music, learned about him and his life, and realized that there's more to him than a lot of people realize. He's truly got a way with his music.

I like him. I remember oh sooo long ago when I was 7 or 8 I thought I would marry Prince or Michael Jackson. Mainly now I feel so sorry for him. He had a terrible childhood. He refuses to grow up. He likes to have to many kids around. The pour man needs help but he can't seem to get it even though he's rich.

I like his music a lot , but I've always found him really weird. even when back when he looked like a real person there was something odd about him. Same deal with Janet , whose music I also really like :D

I have MJ's HIStory & Invinceble & Blood on the Dancefloor (his remix album). I won 'Blood on the dancefloor' off contest from a radio channel , I prolly wouln't have purchased otherwise but it's a nice album :)

I love Michael. He's such a kind hearted, talented & loving person. His music is creative & NEVER repeative. I don't care what ppl say about him nowadays; he's still the greatest entertainer the world has ever known.

I will always love michael jackson. He constantly gives, he is kind hearted, has the most amazing music I have ever heard, is an awesome dancer, very creative and skillful, a golden voice he is really one in a million and I think he defines what an artist really is

I'm kinda iffy on his music. I tend to shy away from 80's music in general, although I've made some exceptions. He has some really great moments (Who Is It), some nice songs... then he has those god-awful boring or corny or just plain awful ones (The Lost Children springs unbidden to mind). Plus his singing irritates me so bad.

He does have some catchy tunes, but I'm undecided.

I love Michael, he's so sweet and cool. And his music is AMAZING. So far my favorite song on my MP3 Player by him is "This Place Hotel" *a remake of Elvis Presely's "Heartbreak Hotel". It's way better than Elvis & Whitney's versions by far!

Michael Jackson is awesome when it comes to his music but Michael Jackson himself...I dunno anymore hehe!!! Not to mention his dancing moves are KILLER!!!

I totally regret my first post in this thread. He's an absolute genius in every way possible. All of his albums are stellar, even 'Invincible' (mediocre by his standards, but still better than anything released at the time).

He's amazing live. If anyone gets the chance they should watch the 'Bad' concert at Yokohama. If you still can't respect him or admire him after that concert you have poor taste and should be drowned. :)

Even though Invicible is so massively criticized, I love that album very much. Every song on it is great imo. It's definitely one of my favorites, even though, which album isn't? LOL
