Honestly.will you???
If me,of course I will
She has given me something I can't explain -absolutely wonderful-
She'll has a special place inside my heart

addicted 16th October 2004 01:04 PM

Who knows it.
of course everyone says that cause you like her so much now,but after that?
everyone sure say yes,but i think the same way i will like her forever but who knows someday ...

Raleigh 16th October 2004 01:20 PM

You never know.. I'm sure there'll be a part of her in me always though. She helped me to grow up. So I don't think I can forget her that easily.

LEOyumi 16th October 2004 06:28 PM

I hope so.

paper_doll 16th October 2004 06:40 PM

I'd say no. Me and my friend talked about this the other day using Linkin Park as an expample 'cause we both obsses (I cant spell) over them. 10 years from now I doubt Im going to still like them, or Ayu. But who can say for sure.

alice19th 16th October 2004 09:42 PM

It depends on the individual. I tend to focus my obsess on one specific thing ... and then I get bored. Like TV shows. Ayumi ... I hope I don't lose her. But you can't really say where you're going to be in ten years, because no one ever really knows.
Makes one really wish for a crystal ball ... lol.

tl1029530921 16th October 2004 09:45 PM

ionno if lose interest or not, but i dont i will ever forget her name

Piccolo 16th October 2004 09:49 PM

If I'm driving down the road one day in my car listening to Ayumi Hamasaki 40 years from now, I would not be surprised.

Vinylfantasy 16th October 2004 10:05 PM

It's definitely possible but not really for sure. I can see myself liking her for awhile as long as she doesn't churn out half-assed releases again like she did for awhile because I tend to lose interest easily.

HanabiChick 16th October 2004 10:46 PM

I don't know - I think I'll remember the things she inspired in me, I just don't know if I'll still be listening to her. Although, maybe I will... ;)

gogirlanime 16th October 2004 11:02 PM

I'm not sure she's gonna make a huge sugnificance when I'm older, but I'm sure all always remember her and how much I love her music, I'll probably not listen to her music for a good 10 years sometime down the road, but then I'll go back to her music to feel young again ^.^

kiseki666 16th October 2004 11:13 PM

i really have no idea.
i hope i wont forget her and she will be there in my heart in the future.
she really has played a important role in my life though...shes influenced and motivated me to learn to sing and learn japanese.

starr5245 17th October 2004 01:51 AM

i don't think so. I won't like people for long periods of time, even though i have all Ayumi albums. Sigh..fame is never lasting.

voltron 17th October 2004 02:44 AM

I think I'll at least appreciate her older stuff, no matter what age I am. I mean, I may not always support her musically (though I'd like to think I would), but I've liked her for so long I could never just completely become neutral to everything she's done.

~K+ 17th October 2004 02:51 AM

I'll only like her older stuff that I actually like. I wouldn't be listening to INSPIRE a few years down the track for sure, I don't even listen to it now.

I've been listening to Sammi Cheng for almost 9 years, I'm not someone to ditch the old for the new.

Kazuko 17th October 2004 03:02 AM

i sure hope i'll still like ayu.. i've only been a fan for about 2 years now... so i think i'll have a long way to go ^__^ although the future is undecided...

kournikova 17th October 2004 03:32 AM

dont know... at present is yes ^^ :)

JimmyKoria 17th October 2004 03:48 AM

Nopers.

As quickly as I pick something up, Im just as quickly willing to drop it. I think I'll always remember hamasaki the person more then hamasaki the jpop singer and her songs. I dont know, she has an intresting story, and thats what keeps me.

Ibitsu Kokoro 17th October 2004 03:53 AM

Probablly not. As she doesn't have a special place in my heart right now. She's just an interesting person. Music is music is music is music.

T-Z333 17th October 2004 03:58 AM

Erm.. you fans... ever tried to read this thread while listening to "CAROLS"?
Gosh that's a huge hit! I felt like crying while doing that!

I thing I'll still like her then. I still listen to the first CD's I bought, 8 years ago from now, and the first cassete (Around 10 years ago) too (Now changed it for a CD, but still the same music). Music has a very special place in me, and I hardly forget about a song/artist I really like. I might drop her sometime, but I know I'll go back to that. I never forget about music, and almost every song I like has a place and a memory on it.

imagina12y 17th October 2004 04:04 AM

i dont know about myself, but i can say that my friend will definitely have her in his heart. when he read the translations for A Song for XX, he was like "wow, it's like she reached into my soul and put it down on paper" ^^ and every so often he finds another one that REALLY moves him (dearest, because of you...) :thumbsup

ayuchanfan 17th October 2004 04:07 AM

yes i actually would. I mean i spent half of my life, listening to her. There is no use in going back. The word obsessive has taken over and I will end up listening to her and still being a fan of her when grown up, even though I'd probrably be a bit too old or something, nobody, even my friends will the forget the past of my obsessive ayu trauma and say "matt, do you remember when you were a teenager listening to ayu??!!"

Nu-NRG 17th October 2004 06:20 AM

yes definetely~
ayu was one of the person that got me hooked to jpop(Nori p/Speed) thats like what...7 years
there is no way that i'll forget her...and yea she is just a person that sings jpop songs
but its her lyrics writings ability that gets me..her style..

JimmyKoria 17th October 2004 07:32 AM

I guess its like old people, when they hear old music, they remember times back when =\ but for some reason I dont think many of you will be hearing jpop on tv when you grow old. Im not even planning on staying in japan that long.

AyuLover 17th October 2004 07:48 AM

As much as she has lost her place as my NO.1, Ayu will always and forever have a place in my heart. She was the first singer that got me into J-POP, or foreign music for that matter. She writes the best lyrics I have ever seen in my life and artists like she are very rare. She writes lyrics staright from her heart and it's rare to find artists like that these days. She's a huge star, and even though she's passed her era, she still continues to shine and bomb Japan with smash hits.

Ayu will definately have a place always and forever in my heart.

liechin 17th October 2004 08:07 AM

i think iwill support her until she is old~~~~!!

weijie22 17th October 2004 08:14 AM

of course

Ayumi_Hamasaki902 17th October 2004 09:01 PM

I'm never going to lose interest of Ayu. I'm going to remember her until the day I die.

destiny_ayu 17th October 2004 10:14 PM

Hopefully i wont get not interested with ayu.. But i guess i will be able to remember her till old.. coz i will keep all the albums and singles to listen ^^ :innocent

ohsixthirty 18th October 2004 07:02 AM

Ayu in my heart? So that's what that weird heart burn feeling is!!! Haha!

No really...I'm sure I won't always listen to her as often as I do now, and I'm sure I won't always follow her like I do now, but I'm pretty sure I'll never forget about her. I mean...to an extent, I'd almost say she has shaped some small part of me, and I've attatched so many of her songs to different memories I have. I think it'll be more like...when I look back, I'll remember fondly, but I think I'll occassionally still listen to her even when I'm old. I don't generally tire of artists easily.

Larisa-chan 18th October 2004 08:07 AM

Definitely!! Ayu is my favorite singer, and even if she may be replaced (::gasp::) by someone else, I'll remember her as having a huge influence on me musically :) My mom still talks about singers she liked (and still likes) when she was my age and younger, so I doubt that Ayu will fade away from my heart <3

And the part about elderly people is so true...where I work during the summer they play oldies music at the assisted living facility all the time because the elderly remember and hold dear to their hearts those singers and bands! They play songs from as far back as the 1920s. I never hear any recent music played for them (like Britney Spears haha)

That's SO true! My mom still talks about the Beatles sometimes and my grandma used to listen to the music from her youth as well! I think those artists you really really connect with, I think that always stays with you.

lolo66 18th October 2004 10:03 AM

I'm not old yet, so how will I know... strange question

Echiko 18th October 2004 10:47 AM

^^ OF COURSE!! I really love all her songs and I'll always remember her. =) Whether I'd still listen to her when I'm an adult I dunno about that. XD My ears may not be able to take songs like GAME when that time comes...But her songs are really sweet and touching. They really touch a part of me because of the lyrics being so easy to relate to. AND AND AND....she's my top fav jpop singer. ^.~

And the answer come up to...*drum rolls* yES!!!!!!~~~

Qt Mashi 18th October 2004 01:25 PM

rite now i am obsessed with her and i relli hope she will stay in my heart un til i grow old but only if she keeps going

Let-Go 18th October 2004 02:44 PM

I hope so...not sure tho, the things that actually has a special part in my heart are...

t.A.T.u.
Lena Katina
Julia Volkova
Britney Spears
Saint Seiya
Sailor Moon
Shaman King
Ray, Usa, & RocknSlave, charlie z_z ....many things but each of em and them have beein special pieces in my life so yeah, ayumi is basically entering[afgh D: cant spell again ~_~]in my life so...

extepan 18th October 2004 08:00 PM

to be truthful, no. every three or four years, my taste in music change. what was important to me no longer becomes important. so i would say that i wont like ayumi forever
