I honestly thought it would've sold more. :( ORANGE RANGE's new album was almost double that!! Ken Hirai sold more on first week as well. This looks like it's going to be Ayu's worst selling full length album..

thanks for the news... I always love how the sales are posted before the week is over. I'm not surprised how "low" the sales are for Ayumi, though. I hope she'll at least beat Memorial Address's sales

I'm a bit shocked...but perhaps the sales will increase over the days..thanks for the news though.

The sales range from day 13 to day 19 and MY STORY only got in stores at day 15 so...

I want to buy, but its not in the shops here yet :irked :thud

To all the people intending to complain about it not being one week yet and always do whenever weekly sales are posted, read Impact's post and be aware that Weekly Sales are always counted at the end of the week, not one week after a particular item is released. It's the way the system works and they aren't going to change just because an artist doesn't on a Monday.

God, some of you people annoy me. First of all, she'll go gold in her first week. Those are great sales. Few artists in the US can pull a platinum debut week.

These are not bad sales.

Britney Spears made about 500,000 copies her first week. AND she's globally known.

Ayu got 454,900 copies. I think it's pretty good. This may not be her best but... =T

Well, it's not that easy selling 1 million copies in the first week nowdays. I should say it's pretty rare.

A lot of people download songs instead of supporting the artist. :headache

Let's wait for the oricon numbers.

not the 1st week sales-i doubt that...at least she can reach more than 500,000 copies....coz a source even said that "MY STORY 1st appearence" was 574,000 copies

That's a good number considering the state of the music depression. Right? Many people just download the album and forget about buying it. MORE PEOPLE SHOULD BUY THE ALBUM! I bought my japanese version of it, and i hope more will support her at least for the second week.

The sales are good, there are two more days for the CD to sell so it can complete one week.
And we can't forget that she said her new tour will be based on the album. It can help a lot.

i think it was 2nd day states not a week states like somebody posted in ayunite forum..so it was wrong sales rate i think..

Hmm now I know why Yeah jpop's numbers are always lower than oricon's...their 'week' finishes a day or two before oricon's does.

thats a very nice figure alraedy. and dont forget a lot of fans bought all 4 covers so the sales is higher than it otherwise would have been

Sorry if it has been posted before, according to oricon, the 1st week sales is 574,321 copies. MY STORY is still #1 in daily ranking too. Hope it'll reach 1 million in less than a month ^^

Hikki had more, and she's a global citizen.

I know that Hikki's Deep River Album sold over 2.5oo.ooo Copies in his first week ...

But more than 5oo.ooo Copies are still very very good! :-) I hope MY STORY will sell more than 1.ooo.ooo Copies ... :-)

I will never understand the big fuss around MUSIQ.....that album was horrible in my opinion. I can barely pick 2 or 3 listenable songs :eviltongu

nah..it was knocked off by Kinki Kids..they released today.

The Yeah!! Jpop! site showed MUSIQ was the album beating MY STORY. Oh well I've never listened to Kinki Kids so I don't have an opinion on them....but it sounds so kinky ahahah They're probably one more japanese boy band to date...I just hope Japanese girls would wake free from the old bakstreet boys fever...it's gotten old.:yes

What? Deep River has sold OVER 4.ooo.ooo Copies !!! I have read it on Oricon in 2oo3 ... She was on the Top of the Year Album End Charts ...

Deep River wasn't even released in 2003. And it didn't sell over 4 million, only 3 million.

I was myself refering to Exodus (JPN release) with about 524K in the 1st week.

BTW, Kinky Kid (although I know pretty few things about them too) is not quite in the boy band model that we're accustomed here. But EXILE and those others are I guess.

@ ~K+ - I know that Deep River was released in 2oo2 but it was also 2oo3 in the Charts ... I'm a huge Hikki Fan and i know all Deep River Charts positions ... Deep River has sold in his Charttime 4,104,588 Units ...

Here is a scon from the 2oo5 World Records Book ... (It sold 2.3 Million in the first 5 days and more than 2.5 Million Copies in the first 7 days!)
