[2002] Let's Have Ayu on 2003 MTV Asia Awards

All Ayu Fans, UNITE!!! (especially Ayu Fans in Asia) :p

Ok, I dont know if I put this in the right section or not. Plz forgive me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, I just want to continue what MTRLB from Ayumi-SG Forum wrote in Ayumi-SG Forum. I hope everyone will support this too!

--------------------------------------
The 2003 MTV Asia Awards will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium
on January 24. And Ayumi Hamasaki isn't part of the invited guest, but let us not give up hope as this year, she was invited at the last moment!

Therefore I suggest all of you here to go and email MTVAA and Panasonic as Panasonic is the sponsor for Ayumi Hamasaki and by right they should own a certain of Ayumi Hamasaki time.

Therefore, please make your way to

MTVAA email add - mtvpress@mtv-asia.com

Panasonic email add - http://www.panasonic.com.sg/corporate/feedbk.cfm

Email them, get your friends too! Get everyone you know to help you out! Show them the power of UNITE! Ayumi fan!

I hope everyone will spread the news about and get the media attention too as it will help us in having Ayumi holding a concert here too! Do your least bit now! Email the two company till they bow to our request !

Cheers!

I don't know whether I should add this reply anot, but for the benifit of members...

MTVAA and Panasonic doesn't have the ability to move Jpop-Diva, Ayumi Hamasaki to come over Singapore for the MTVAA 2003.

All kind of Ayumi Hamasaki scedule have to go through the final decision for AMB. Moreover, Ayumi had already went on 02/02/2002 and received "Most Influential Japanese Artiste Award". This year around, MTVAA doesn't include any Japanese Artiste- may log on to http://www.mtvasiaawards.com for more information.

Mass flooding off emails will only result in ban/remove of your MTVAA account. Let's play this on a friendly tactics- call up related Media and send up a HUGE petition for concert 2003 instead.

Sorry for being such a spolit-sport... Sumimasen!

isaac hiew 8th November 2002 07:36 AM

I agree with kenshin. It's not that we don't want to try, but the problem is that MTVAsia will be like totally disregard us. The nomination list HAS already been released and they will not budge.

I too second the petition for the 2003 concert at Singapore. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we can hear A LOT of ayumi songs, LIVE, comparing to the MTVAsia Awards, wher you can only listen to only one song, while you have to bear yourself through oter artists' fans..... so... you know....

Of course, it's always wonderful if Ayumi can show up, so, I won't forbid anyone here who were supporting the move, me myself do not felt any interest in it, that's all.

glenn 9th November 2002 06:10 AM

Hey!

In Last Year's Award, she wasn't nominated for anything actually. It's just she received "Most Influential Japanese Artist in Asia", but not nominated to beat another nomination (but I'm sure they had alot of considering to choose her to recieve the awards).
So, it'll be still possible to do this. :rolleyes
They still havent mentioned who is goin to perform in that award show, just the nomination!

:confused

AyuTrance 9th November 2002 02:12 PM

it's weird that MTVAA is for asian artists but why aren't there any japanese nominations??
when i heard about MTVAA early this yr...i went crazy!!i thought maybe there'll be some japanese artist included....
but i was shocked when there were none...but luckily they specially included Ayu for the "Most influential japanese artist"
if this can happened at the last minute of the MTVAA 2002....it can happen again next yr..
so...
let's bombard Panasonic and MTVAA with loads of request that Ayu be included in next yr's show...

EdenZone 9th November 2002 04:11 PM

i agree......there're absolutely no nominations from East Asia.......
AND they called this Music Television Asia Awards ???

It should be called (MTSEAA) Music Television South-East Asia Awards !!! :laugh All Asian nominees are from SEA....... !!!Click On this Link and See For Yourself

I wonder why the officials weren't even notice that.........They got the cheek to say ASIA while major tunes were cruelly left out (J-pop, Canto-pop, K-pop, etc.....)

Ayu to come this time ???? I can say........ dream on.......

glenn 10th November 2002 06:13 AM

Yes, actually the MTV Asia Division is for South East Asia! That's right! Anyhow, in last year's Awards, there are some j-pop and k-pop artists coming to the show, like Kang Ta, GOD, and some taiwanese artists too.

Last night, i saw the TV commercial of 2003 MAA in MTV Chinese, and it's the different one from the MTV Asia (singapore's channel). In that TV-CM, they use chinese fonts (with chinese language off course) and some 'Changing graphics' which is some name of artists. In that 'Changing graphics', I saw 'KANG TA' name, and the others i can't read because it's too fast ( i just read some like westlife, and another western artist), but i dont know if there is Ayumi Hamasaki or any other japanese artist in it.
Somehow the guest artists who is going to be invited to this year's show is not included in the site. Not yet!

I guess, we're all still can hope Ayu to be invited again! It'll be great!

And.. did anybody hear bout this rumour, that this year's award show will be Utada Hikaru as J-pop guest artist. :(

MTRLB 10th November 2002 05:02 PM

MTVAA and Panasonic have the ability to bring Ayumi Hamasaki to come over to Singapore. If not, for MTVAA 2002, she won't have come and it was a last minute invitation to Ayumi Hamasaki and she agreed to come even though she wasn't nominated for any awards.

And Panasonic is one of sponsor for Ayumi Hamasaki. And in regards of having Ayumi Hamasaki to hold a concert here, MusicStreet once said that no company is wealthy enough to invite Ayumi to come over. Well, Panasonic has the money and 1millions SGD is not a lot to them. And if they do not have the ability to bring Ayumi Hamasaki over, they won't be her sponsor! And usually these sponsor will own a certain of time of the artists which they can ask the artists to go attend events.

Why do I ask everyone to email both the company once is to let them know that there are a lot of Ayumi Hamasaki fans out there waiting to watch her peform here in Singapore. And each person sending a email to the company isn't spamming. We are requesting, and not spamming. Spamming is repeatly of sending same stuff or ad. your own products or things.

And by sending emails to MTVAA, we are showing them that Ayumi has a large fan base here.

MTRLB: Your idea was that each member was to send 1 single email to the company, which I wish definitely had nothing to worry about. No one said the word "spam" in the first place, am I right? What for getting so agitated? Looks like the members had get your idea completely wrong...
(See for yourself below) I don't know the consequences, I just gave a gentle reminder- members do what you like, take care!

AyuTrance:let's bombard Panasonic and MTVAA with loads of request that Ayu be included in next yr's show...

glenn:Email the two company till they bow to our request !

Anyway- You explaination seem to be directly passing to someone, who are ya trying to tell actually??

Kenshin17 10th November 2002 06:53 PM

Forget to add...

Not that I'm trying to be a Super Jerk right now, even members get the slightest possible chance to watch Ms-Ayumi Hamasaki perform in Singapore, I will feel happy and support you all.

But the problem is - MTVAA 2003 request for Ayumi as guest, by bombarding companies with Emails really worth it? If you failed this "mission" of Email till they bow, think about it for next time event(s). Will MTVAA or Panasonic even spare the minimum thought on looking at your request?

I'm here to tell everybody to play nice and easy- you may cover your eyes and pretend you never read this message, continue to bomb the 2 companies. Up to you guy- consider if possible!

MTRLB:I doesn't know whether you got my message clear anot- but I still hope that you wouldn't pull any mIRC grudges into this thread. Whatever it is (Good or Bad), lets do things the safer & friendly ways.

Ayumi's Fanatics: I got enough talk regarding this issue, hope that people are clear and stay focus on what they are doing. Good Luck!! :thumbsup

That's because there is MTV Japan.. and Japan isn't a part of MTV Asia. Therefore japanese artists will be nominated by MTV Japan, but not for MTV Asia.

Ashley

boogieordie 10th November 2002 07:05 PM

MTV Asia includes - Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Phillipines

MTRLB 11th November 2002 12:39 AM

One of the reason Ayumi Hamasaki is not holding a concert is because there isn't any local company here who have the finanical to host a concert of Ayumi Hamasaki.

But MTVAA and Panasonic are two big companies and they have the finanical and manpower to hold such a big concert. And we need to let them know.

They didn't create the feedback email accounts for nothing. They have specifice emails for different usage.

And why does MediaWork decided to buy the copyright of MTVAA2002 Ayumi Hamasaki performance? It is because of all the fans in Singapore who emailed them, and called them up.

glenn 11th November 2002 02:08 PM

Yes yes yes....

Both of the company have the email inbox with alot of considering (including like this ayu fans' case). I dont think they will spare the minimum thought on looking at our request, just because of this.
I do agree with all MTRLB said!

Go Ayu fans... Go Ayu fans... Go Ayu fans... :thumbsup

LiddoKun 11th November 2002 06:34 PM

grr......why dont they air MTV Japan in malaysia......
:( :(
i hope ayumi will come.....
the big companies like panasonic should sponsor her to come.....
once they do they will never know wat hit them as the cash starts rolling into their hands........

Unimatrix Prime™ 11th November 2002 09:42 PM

I don't think that there'd be enough time and support to get Ayu to perform in this year's MTVAA. As much as I'd hope for Ayu to appear there, we've gotta put this in perspective. Since the MTVAA is primarily Southeast Asia, I guess Ayu's chances of going there would be close to nil, so perhaps if everyone tries early on next year, you can try to get Ayu to perform in SG again :)

MTRLB 13th November 2002 02:47 PM

One of my members got this reply from MTVAA

Hi there,

Thank you for your email. I'm sure Ayumi would be pretty pumped to hear of such support from her fans!

We will be releasing artists' information in time to come. So meanwhile,
keep your eyes and ears wide open.... and don't forget to vote on
http://www.mtvasiaawards.com./!

Cheers.... JT

Therefore I hope everyone will continue to email them if you haven't do so :) :thumbsup

EdenZone 13th November 2002 07:07 PM

glenn 14th November 2002 11:04 AM

Yeay... Yeay... Yeay... :roflmao

Anyhow, i heard Greg Utt (one of the mtv VJ) once said in a show that they are negotiating to have Utada Hikaru to come to this year's award! :(

The majority of US artists are international, meaning they're known around the world. Even though it goes against the meaning of MTV Asia Awards by not having just Asian artists, it includes US artists who are known in Asia.

Unimatrix Prime™ 20th November 2002 01:44 PM

What's sad is that the MTV awards here in the US don't recognize the talents of other international artists besides those that are Latin, so at least for MTV Asia, they award artists from across the globe :trout

Ibitsu Kokoro 20th November 2002 09:48 PM

YEAH!!!

I'll email both
