Still not quite, that's a list of women that with numbers of albums that at least sold 1 million. So total numbers do have the chance to be different, although someone with most of the hot-selling albums has a great chance to rack up total.

A BALLADS never hit 1,000,000. At most, it hit between 850,000 - 900,000.

Basically, it says that A BALLADS did not reach a million according to them, :(.

The list refers to just albums. And to date Hikki's only released 3 original albums and 1 single collection.
I know, you'll probably point out [EXODUS], but there's one small difference, she uses 'Utada' instead of her full name. So, that makes EXODUS an exception.

Well, Oricon doesn't count every sales, not even every store sales in Japan, as they always say.

hikki listed no.4 together with namie n Misia because both have 4 albums that sold over 1 millions copies..

but seriously, ayu's 8 albums total sales is still lesser than the total sales no. of hikki's 4 albums....

oh well. ayu and hikki are both awesome though. guess it just depends on individual taste. ;)

Yep who's "no.1" really depends on how you look at the numbers.

But I never really let numbers effect who I like. I love Hikki almost as much as Ayu though, and Nmaie is on my list of artist I like.

Fans don't really need to compare too much on this kind of thing. Just concentrate on congratulating on whoever is doing well.

But I like them both so what's my taste? hehe

Like I said before, this is the best ranking thingie, way better than those fan-voting ones.....

yea thats what ppl told me said oricon doesnt' count big stores like HMV and such so who knows...maybe the sales is already 1 million(a ballads)

... do wish them count more sales numbers though, if they're able to do it. It'll make more accurate data, just for kicks.

I thought that Yumi "Yuming" Matsutoya sold like 15+ million-seller albums...even if she didn't, I remember reading somewhere that Ayu still has quite a way to go if she's going down in history as number one selling female artist.

Until now, I just know" my story" has reached One million sales! What a shocking news to me~
I had thought it broke one million already; parently, I was wrong.
