Says there will be a broadband showing of Ayu's anticipated 2002-2003 Countdown Live... the price willbe roughly about 1000 yen....

and i read somewhere that theyre doing the broadband viewing of it becuase they didnt have enough money or something? the tickets didnt sell well or something... and they cannot cancel the show so yea...

There will also be problems with the internet "transmission" because of the host or something like that..

If anyone has more information on this.. please let us know =]

Ayumi isn't very covered up if you know what I mean.

boogieordie 20th December 2002 09:56 PM

They've always done broadband versions of her concerts. This is nothing new and isn't related to ticket sales.

I dunno if they only do it with CDLs or other concerts as well, but this isn't the first time.

fantaisie.sign 30th December 2002 02:56 AM

To me, the outfit looks similar to what Britney Spears wore for her HBO concert (Elvis promotional ads). *shudders*

The tickets really didn't sell well? I think Avex still should have continued with the concert and try to immediately release it on video instead of streaming it live online. There are many possibilities of errors in the transmission: a user's computer freezing up and loosing the stream, bad streams, problems in the streaming source, etc. All of these factors could result in lost money from those watching the concert. Also, I don't think as many people would watch the concert online rather than going to see it live. Either way, it seems like Avex will lose money from it and lose even more by the online idea.

Where did you get the idea that the tickets didn't sell well? To quote AyuRocks:

CDL 01-02 and STADIUM TOUR were streamed live. Don't know about any of the earlier concerts...

Sometimes whenever events (ranging from concerts, television shows, expo events, etc.) don't sell well, they use the method of broadcasting it live online to raise money that way. I never knew that the previous Countdown Live concerts were that way until Ashley mentioned it so I based my comment on Mike's intro post on my thoughts if the tickets didn't sell well.
