YOUR ALL TIME FAVOURITE SONGS!!!

Haha! I want to see what kind of music really moves the people here at AHS! As in the most important songs in your life that you love so much and cant live without!! I'm sure all of you have those!! Well, for me..

#5 Ayumi Hamasaki- No Way To Say
Really sad song, makes me feel really sad and desperate :( ..

#4 Natalie Imbruglia- Torn
Another sad song but with happy music, not slow like the others, simply beautiful, one of the songs that made me love music :) .

#3 Nelly Furtado- Try
Depressing and beautiful, it makes me really sad :( ..

#2 Sophie Ellis-Bextor- I Wont Change You
HAPPY almost euphoric! It makes me close my eyes, when I open it back, the world is such a happy place :D !

#1 Utada Hikaru- Sakura Drops
PERFECTION!! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH ITS ALWAYS IN MY HEAD!! :luv2 The best Hikki song :luv2 !

ULTIMATE SUPER SONG!!!
#0 Ayumi Hamasaki- Alterna
No words to describe. :tired

BanFan 4th September 2005 03:20 PM

[10.Hitomi Shimatani - crossover intro] It's such a beautiful song! I love the arrangement and the amazing bridge...

[9.Morning Musume - AS FOR ONE DAY] Ugh! The way their voices all sound so clear! I love this song!! Track 6 from 'Ai no Dai 6 Kan' is also brilliant!

[8.Tommy heavenly6 - LCDD] A nice fun track that reminds me of my lovely buriguri a lot. The chorus is really nice and so is the bridge.

[7.Ayumi Hamasaki - Daybreak & No more words] Two of my all time favorite Ayumi ballads. 'I am...' would be very bad if these two weren't on it. Amazing vocals and music.

[6.Mika Nakashima - Yuki no Hana/Hitori] Aaah. The lovely Yuki no Hana/Hitori combo. Yuki no Hana blew me away the first time I heard it, and Hitori is one of Mika's greatest songs ever!! It's so...well, lonely..o_o;

[5.Aikawa Nanase - Ai no Uta ~MAGENTA RAIN~] Amazing song by my favorite J-rocker. I don't even know what the songs about (translation), but it never ceases to amaze me or make me stop whatever I'm doing and sing along to the chorus.

[4.the brilliant green - Forever to Me ~Owaranaki Kanashimi~] Ack! The best brilliant green song ever!! The intro is amazing and eerie. The chorus explodes and both the vocals and music of this song are amazing. I love the bridge and I love the closing. A flawless song to me...just brilliant, and a little green because of the baby in the PV.

[3.Ai Otsuka - Kingyo Hanabi] Ai Otsuka's Masterpiece, simple, yet amazing. If I didn't have LOVE JAM or the Kingyo Hanabi single I would die because I love this song so much. I've even memorized it and can almost completely write it out, except for some kanji. The firework booms and the other sound effects really add to this song.

[2.Every Little Thing - KIWOKU] No matter how fun AMBIVALENCE or jump are, this is still my absolute favorite ELT song. Mocchi's vocals are awesome in this song, from her soft parts to the louder, last chorus. The music is also really, really good. This song is so cool live. o_o

[1.Chihiro Onitsuka - infection] Can anything beat this song? I don't think so. Perfect lyrics, perfect arrangment, perfect vocals. What more could you ask for in a song? This is the only song I think I can listen to on repeat five times...^-^

Hehe. They're all Japanese because I don't listen to English music anymore. :P

TeamAyu 7th September 2005 05:33 AM

I probably sound like an obsessed rabid Ayu fan but to be honest Ayu's music plays a big role in my life. Anyways here are my favorite songs.

#01. ayumi hamasaki - Dearest

- The emotions this song portrays to the listener is what I believe to be pure and true love. It displays love in it's purest and most honest form. I think Ayu was able to really capture the emotion's of deep and true love perfectly in this song.

#2-9 No order:

ayumi hamasaki - SEASONS

- "SEASONS" is most definitely an Ayu classic but it help me deal with my grandfather's passing on. It was really symbolic to what I was going thru at the time and almost tells my own story perfectly. Strange thing is that as my grandpa was being buried I couldn't help but sing this song to comfort me.

ayumi hamasaki - evolution

- "evolution" another Ayu classic, this was my first Japanese Pop song ever so it has a special place in my heart. The energy in this song really has the power to bring the best and craziness emotions in you. I'll really always love this song, and it introduce me to the amazing individual that is ayumi hamasaki.

ayumi hamasaki - Memorial address ~take 2 version~

- This was another song that help me deal with my grandpa's passing on as it really was able to portray PERFECTLY all the anger and confusion I had inside me that I really, really wanted to let out. Amazing and just perfect.

utada hikaru - First Love

- This was the second Japanese Pop song I ever heard, and it is possibly one of the best ballads ever. Another song that reminds me of what true love should be like and the melody and lyrics convey that all. Without a doubt one of Japanese music's greatest pieces.

onitsuka chihiro - Sign

- I'm a real romantic as should be able to see by now and nothing like onitsuka's "Sign" portrays the HAPPINESS AND JOY that falling in love and being in love brings. It is definitely a stand out piece in onitsuka's discography and is a song I keep close to my heart. I really can't help but feel happy and filled with joy whenever I hear this beautiful melody.

tackey & tsubasa - One Day, One Dream

- This was the song that started my Johnny's obsession hehe, as much as I love this song I also hate it haha since is the cause of my empty wallet. But truely this song portrays to me how we should view life each and everyday, with lots of ambition and energy ready to see what life has to offer us the next day. Truely portrays the adventure of life.

nakashima mika - Yuki no Hana

- mika's piece "Yuki no Hana" is just beautiful, there is no other way for me to describe it but an amazing and stunning piece of music.

namie amuro - NEVER END

- Another one of those Japanese Pop classics that I'll never grow tired of. My love of life and music will surely "never end".

w-inds. - Dedicated to you

- Just a beautiful and stunning ballad. I just hope that one day someone will feel the same emotions for me that this song portrays. Perfection.

Isthan 10th November 2005 03:49 PM

Aah, it's so hard to decide! Oh well, I'll list a couple of songs in no order...

Ayumi Hamasaki - Evolution
My second song heard from Ayumi. The lyrics just perfectly describe my way of thinking. Love the PV. I think this song will eternally be on my TOP10-list.

Ayumi Hamasaki - Alterna
Again, the lyrics are very close to me and the PV as well.

Shiina Ringo - Shuukyou
No words to decribe.

Nobuo Uematsu - One Winged Angel (AC Version)
One word: NOSTALGIC.

Risa Ohki - Au Palais Du Verre
I've been listening this like so many years! It feels like forever and I'm still not getting bored to it...

Dir en Grey - Mask
Got to love the Kyo-madness.

Maxx - Maxximum Extacy
Again, NOSTALGIC. So many memories.

Mikko Kuustonen - Allison
No words.

There are many other great songs, but these are just what came first in my mind. At the moment I could say that Allison is bigger than life... :heart

chibi_sunny 10th November 2005 04:13 PM

Though i've only been listening to Jpop only for 2 years, i have definitely come to love some songs:
"Tune the Rainbow" -Maaya Sakamoto: I NEVER get tired of this song!! it's so beautiful, and makes me cry everything i listen to it. The lyrics are also really good. i also enjoy Sakamoto-san's "yubiwa", "hemisphere", & "cloud 9"
"Fly High", "Seasons"," monochrome","to be", etc -Ayumi Hamasaki
"colors", " sakura drops", "travelling", "simple & clean", etc -Utada Hikaru
" real emotion" -Koda Kumi
"Melissa"- Porno Graffiti
" Truth", "Just Communication", and "Love Revolution" -Two Mix

LacusClyne 20th November 2005 12:55 AM

all songs are not in order

ayumi-a song for xx, STEP you, Trama, Boys & Girls, who... and my name's women.

utada-first love

i guess that's all. i get sick of listening to songs over and over again. but these are those that i can repeat them for the whole day without pressing the stop button.

fantaisie.sign 20th November 2005 10:18 PM

Wow, this is hard. :laugh I'll try to leave J-Pop songs out of this.

1.) Maaya Sakamoto & Steve Conte - "The Garden Of Everything."
There are no words to describe how much I absolutely love this song. Yoko Kanno is a genius, period.

2.) Freemasons - "Love On My Mind" (Original Mix)
This song is so much fun! I'm a disco fan, so mixing disco with a good dance beat makes me smile.

3.) Madonna - "Sorry"
Great song! Not only does it sample a great base-line from a Jacksons song, but Madonna says "Sorry" in several languages perfectly. :D

4.) Origa - "Rise"
Yoko Kanno. 'Nuff said.

5.) Origa - "Inner Universe"
Yoko! Kanno!

6.) Delerium - "Truly"
The song is so catchy! It's almost like a combination of dance and new age.

7.) Steve Conte - "Call Me, Call Me"
The bridge is my favorite part of the song because of the strings and the power in Steve's voice.

8.) Malcolm McLaren - About Her
Another amazing song from the Kill Bill Vol.2 soundtrack. It's so melancholic, but almost ethereal.

9.) Conjure One - "Tears From The Moon" (Carmen Rizzo Stateside Chillout Mix)
I really like the lyrics for this song, and the remix version fits them much better than the original, almost like how the HAL remix of "Daybreak" fits better than the original version.

10.) Conjure One - "Center Of The Sun"
This song is so sad with a little bit of a middle-eastern flavor.

11.) Tie: BT - "Somnambulist (Simply Being Loved)" / "Dark heart dawning"
The funny thing is that vH1 uses clips from "Somnambulist" in almost all of their shows. It's so catchy. BT is the king of electronica. "Dark heart dawning" is a very personal song, and you can almost feel him pouring his emotion into the song.

12.) Ewan McGregor & José Feliciano - "El Tango De Roxanne"
The best Moulin Rouge song. :D I like how it takes an old Sting song and makes it into a tango with strings and all.

13.) Tie: Gwen Stefani - "What You Waiting For? / Luxurious"
Gwen's "L.A.M.B." album always puts me in a good mood. "What You Waiting For?" is so catchy and has a lot of Japanese flavor added to it. Not many people like "Luxurious," but it's my favorite song by her. It samples The Isley Brothers' "Between The Sheets" and makes it into a pop song.

14.) Alpha - "Elvis"
The perfect song to slow-dance to. "I wanna fly. . . with you tonight. . ."

15.) Jason Nevins & Holly James - "I'm In Heaven"
I want this song to be my ringtone so much. :D It samples Michael Jackson's "Human Nature."

16.) Janet Jackson - "Velvet Rope"
One of Janet's most underappreciated songs. Good lyrics, and great beat.

17.) Spirited Away - "White Dragon [Shiroi Ryu]"
I wish this song was used as for the Spirited Away ending credits. It's short, but very nice.

18.) Lara Fabian - "The Dream Within"
Beautiful vocals and lyrics. It goes perfectly with the Final Fantasy movie.

19.) Maroon 5 - "Sunday Morning"
Another "feel good" song! This reminds me of old Stevie Wonder songs.

20.) Christina Aguilera - "Impossible"
Christina and Alicia Keys team up for a good jazz-influenced song. I wish it was a little longer.

Vinylfantasy 20th November 2005 11:05 PM

Oceanlab - Satellite (Above & Beyond Remix)
Sure it may be lame-o trance, but omg I've had some history with this song :D I still cry everytime the DJ plays it at a rave...

Yoji Biomehanika - Never End (Hellhouse New Edit)
This song really makes Yoji's production skills shine, the buildups and releases are amazing.

Madonna - Vogue
I think this one pretty much speaks for itself.

Mika Nakashima - Oborozukiyo~Inori
I can't listen to this song without getting chills up by back.

Thilo & Evanti - Caution
This hardstyle song never fails to make me headbang whenever I listen to it. People always look at me funny :D

Ayu_Fan_00 15th July 2006 03:35 AM

MY FAVORITE SONG IS HOLLABACK GIRL BY GWEN STEFANI. THAT IS MY FAVORITE SONG IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE.
