Hardest/Easiest Ayu Songs to Sing
 

I had an idea. ^^ Are there songs by Ayu that you have trouble singing? Is there one out there that you sing so well, it amazes even you? Tell us the songs you have trouble and are best with here.

I'll just be lucky if I can hit the notes in TO BE. I'm an alto, so only when I get in a singing mood I'll be able to sing it. I don't have much trouble with the words though.

To me it becomes a bit absurd to list ayumi's "worst" song, although there are some I don't care as much for as others, I think most of her songs are
ok - to -super fantastic top of the world. Many of ayu's "medicore" songs are better than the best songs of many other artists in my opinion. ;)

hmm...they're all easy now once i've learned them....

CAROLS' verses are too low for me, annnd

it took a bit to learn the words to INPSIRE and to memorize the word shortcuts of the chorus...i think i might have spend like..a half an hour on singing them and perfecting them [i always kept missing words or taking too long to sing one]

other n' that, i'm a happy camper

I used to be like that too, only able to sing songs well if i'm in a singing mood and it sounded soo icky and dull if i wasn't, now i grew out of that and it always ounds nice! to matter what mood i'm in! :) And I'm sure you'll grow out of it too!

There're only a few Ayu songs that I'm good at singing all the way through, mostly slower songs like "For My Dear...," "Dolls," and "Moments." I'm a guy, and even though I sing in falsetto like... all the time, Ayu's voice is hard for me to follow without having to switch octaves in the middle of most songs. Doesn't stop me from trying, though. (And I can get the high notes in "Moments" if I concentrate!)

...well, except for stuff like "evolution." I think it's safe to say I'll never get that one down. XD

Ah~ Okay... you meant what songs are hardest to sing... yeesh, most of them are quite difficult to sing, since she sings so high...

I think the trick about be able to sing her songs is to have a good Japanese pronounciation, which isn't hard at all! The only thing I think is a little tricky is the fast parts in some of her songs, for example evolution, ourselves, about you etc.

Songs I can't sing are those I don't know the lyrics to, but if I have the booklet so I can read them I can sing the most!!

Although I'm a guy, so my voice can't sound like ayu's at all... and singing isn't my biggest interest.

I have some problems with the rap part in Fly High and the English(!) part in forgiveness, since I don't know the lyrics...

One more thing is that I have no vibrato on my voice... I can't understand how ayu does that sound!!! That's amazing!

I would but I don't have a Mic >_< .

I would have to say the hardest Ayu song to sing for me is, About You, I can't seem to get my tongue around it!

The easiest on the other hand has to be Dearest, first actual J-Pop song that I tried to sing and I found it quite simple, plus it's nice to sing especially when it gets to the end if I'm giving it alot of vent and putting alot of power behind it. *Shivvers.*

I think my range meshes well with Ayu's (and my range is rather small) - because I think I could hit the notes easily enough (except the chirpy robot voice on Beautiful Fighters and maybe the "Born to be free~" [art of, well, Born To Be...) but for now?

All of them are the hardest for me to sing because I'm absolutely horrendous at singing in foreign languages D: especially since I need the romanized lyrics right in front of me any time I try.

(That being said, I'm getting increasingly better at Namie Amuro's ALARM, which despite a few remaining stumbles, is surprisingly easy)

Ah well. practice makes perfect, says I. Except for evolution and Naturally. I'll try, but I'm not sure I'll ever be able to even get close to them.

About You is the only one i can say i can't sing...the other songs that pop in my head and i know pretty well i can sing, just nto as good as Ayu(ofcourse). I've come close to evolution, but seriously i find it hard to sing when moving around, but when i stand still(though this song is really...energetic) i can sing it. NEVER EVER now that i think about it, i can't sing too well, i can get the words, but my voice irritates me when i sign it. Moments, Hanabi, ASFXX, B&D, Seasons, and others, i can sing pretty well. Seasons, i can even do that thingy she does to her voice thats' like crackign her voice on purpose^^. I think most of her songs are easy to me cause i'm kidna trained since i sing for church, i sung at school, and i sing my own songs^^ but the fact that my vocal range is much wider than Ayu's makes it easy to sign her low notes and her "high" notes(even though she doesnt' sign too high) B&D is real easy cause i can sign strong cause i kinda have a soulful voice...(prolly why i dint' like it when Ayu sang some soul in there, it seemed weird...she couldnt' do it as well...unless in concert)

I just tried M and while I can hit the notes, man this song is hard to sing. She takes unexpected (for me) turns with the pronunciation (especially since I slaughter the language anyway)_.

We need a pronunciation guide not only for the language, but for the songs so we know how she pronounces each word D:

lol, only reason why i can sing it is cause i've listened to it so many times, i remember the way she pronounes, and when i write my own songs i sometimes slaughter the language at the end of songs, or even(just to have my unqie touch), sing certain english words with much emphasis by singing out the syllabuls with a japanese, or spanish accent. like the word: tremendous, i'd say: TrE-me"N"Do-Aaus. So it's just the way it is for me. Just listen to how she promounces and you'll get it.

the hardest for me is still ... Ourselves.. it's an awsome song.. but I cant get all of it down.. the fastness kills me.. unless i memorize the lyrics I will stumble.. as my mind will read it -too- fast.. then my mouth tries to do that TOO.. and i sound terrible.. i do that reading too.. cant read out loud without stumbling unless I'm actually focusing on doing it slowly.. >.<

Easiest for me would be M as that's the first Ayu song I ever tried to sing.. ^_^

My voice isn't really made to sing... like Ayu does... it isn't made to sing at all to be honest :D.

Trying out About You and evolution made me realize how hard it is to sing really fast when you barely know the words.

I think Ayu's a unique singer in that fact..

If she sounded like Yuna Ito it'd be so boring so fast x.x

I always thought evolution was pretty hard to sing, since she's singing kind of fast, I always get all tongue-tied.
I know that the easiest song for me to sing is Dearest since I already have most of it memorized anyways...

There's others that i'm okay (can follow the lyrics fairly well with few mistakes) at but I can't think of them at this moment.

lol, when i try to sing About You, i get all "hdgoa;fgukl;ahukl"-ish. lol.

Not the same for me, I think INSPIRE very difficult to sing, it is quite fast. I find the chorus quite hard.
Moments may be easy, kanjis are not so hard but the beginning may be the hardest, after "lalala" part, I don't have breath anymore to sing :"kokoro ga ...." furthermore there are consecutives syllabs with "k" family kana, hard to say for me.

The easiest ones for me are Dearest, A Song for XX, SEASONS, kanjis are not so hard and it's slow songs.

Fly high is definitvely difficult at the beginning with very high tempo (like rap)

i have had 3 yrs. of vocal training w/ one teacher and now i've got a new voice teacher cuz i'm in college minoring in vocal performance... i'm not tryin to brag or anything... just lettin yall kno where i stand singing-wise...
anywayz... evolution is kinda hard to sing cuz of the lyrics and itz kinda fast...
and alot of Ayu's songs are in a weird place in my voice. but thatz kinda good cuz it strengthens and gives me good practice on transitioning from chest to head voice... i like singing her low stuff best tho...
