AHS was upgraded to vBulletin version 3.5.0 today. As is always the case when there are major software changes there may be some bugs. If you notice any broken images, errors, or if something does not seem to be working correctly please report it. Screencaps are helpful.

I was wondering what was going on, and why I couldn't change skins back to my normal one.

Question: are you supposed to have extra stars? You have them below your "HEAVEN Guardian" title and next to your "STAFF" title. O_o

Ah, that explains a lot. I just came here to see myself looking at the default skin, and when I noticed I WAS logged in I just sort of shrugged and went to change it back to VISEE. I've noticed that the quick reply box is also different, and there's no major announcements on the home page. Will those be coming back? I thought they were pretty handy.

all the forum themes ran away , they won't change.

It works when changed in the Options screen of the User CP, but not on the scrolly thing at the bottom.

Try clearing your browser's cache and reloading.

I was wondering what went on when I logged in to see my skin all weird... change dit and it's fine now.

And wondering the same thing as Calico... major announcements, will they come back?

the vBulletin refer to only th skin... or overall how the forum wokrs?


and everytime I want to read new posts it asks me to for my username and passwrod... I'm going to log out and enter back let's see what happens.

It's a little strange to see the "Mark as Post of the Day" option on PMs but this is no doubt a vBulletin rather than Forum bug.

Thanks for all your hard work as ever nmskalmn. It's a stressful thing to have to do, knowing you can accidently wipe out the whole forum if you get anything wrong :yeek

Speaking of that... it appears that some of the custom profile pictures (including mine) have been lost. Sorry.:(

There are 2 ways of displaying the post bit in vBulletin. If you want to change it go to your User Control Panel, click on Edit Options, and choose 'Left' under Postbit style.

I'm not at home, but I think that may have been the problem since I'm not having that issue on this computer. Also, the on the fly title editing wasn't working at home but is here. :)

Just wondering... when it tells us how many new posts we have ex "you have XX new posts", 'new posts' used to be the link, and now it's the number... but the number's so small :p I liked it the other way :)

WOW no wonder the QUICK EDIT button dissapeared and pressing edit brings out the quick edit format.. o_O What else will change? What aspects has AHS been improved on?

About new posts, even though I visited yesterday, posted and was logged on, I now get posts from as far back as Oct 8th marked as 'new'. Is there an explanation for that?

The 'mark read' system was reset.

What does that mean? If a thread I'm not interested in has new replies, it will still keep on showing as unread/in the 'new posts' section?

It will keep showing up until one of the following occurs:
10 days pass
you click on the thread
you click on "Mark Forums Read"

Because the system was reset, topics that you had read before the upgrade will be there whether you read them or not.

hey... everytime I click new posts I have to enter my username and password... and I erased my cookies and all... can u help?

the post average on the side has also dissapeared...

hahaha, the mobile skin was telling me i was so exaggerated!!! i knew sometihng was going on in the forum...

One thing I noticed is that my post count dropped from 992 to where it's at now. I don't know if that was due to the update, or just from regular forum maintenance/thread pruning, though. Not a problem, whatever the case, but I thought I would mention it.

Several threads were moved to the Posting Games forum recently. Replies there are not included in your postcount, so your total will have gone down by however many replies you made in those moved threads.
