It states that Ayu has two new songs (I think on the album, but it doesn't specificly say that) that are used in a PS2 game called "新 鬼武者 DAWN OF DREAMS": "Startin'" = opening theme "rainy day" = ending theme The game is supposively a very good and popular capcom-game. the picture at the top of this post shows that appearantly there's a video with a (preview) of the song 'startin'' somewhere already. source: http://www.capcom-fc.com/transmissio.../11/ps2_2.html and the japanese bbs (masa). http://plusd.itmedia.co.jp/games/art...9/news060.html http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/...051109/oni.htm http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/...1109/oni04.jpg |
OOO cool! thanks!
the names very very beautiful
Nice! I like 'rainy day'
hehehe
im thinking Startin will be an upbeat song ? hehehe so cool~ |
Startin'. Very hip. Good intro song, lol.
And rainy day... a ballad? |
This will be intersting...as ayumi doesn't do that many in-game songs...only utada does that...lol :)
Ummm... I dun't really like the title, but i guess it's the music that matter. Anyway, Yay! Ayumi is singin' for Onimusha!
Oh interesting, 2 new songs! I'm guessing "Startin'" is probably the opening track to the album as well. "rainy day" is probably going to be a ballad, I hope it's an acoustic number as that would be really awesome.
Cool news :) Thanks!
Cool! Ayu is sining for my fav Onimusha!
They'll be recent songs, too!
Good new!!!Thank alot:)
Ooh I'm hoping that either "Startin'" or "rainy day" have a dark, Japanese feel to them to suit the mood of Onimusha! (I've never heard any openings/endings for the Onimusha series before, so I don't know what they're generally like. I am playing Onimusha Tactics for Gameboy Advance right now, but of course GBA games generally don't warrant full scale vocal themes :laugh).
wow.. 2 new songs ^^ thx a lot!
oh kool!! i hope the song for the game is popular! i would probably buy it for my PS2!
Koda and Utada has got alot more western fans from singing songs from Kingdom hearts and final fantasy! |
rainy day sounds nice! I hope the game will add something to the album sales.
RAINNY DAY sound quite similar to HEAVEN, but all in all, MARVELLOUS~
OH... the titles sounds greater than In my pocket... :D
Thanks for the info, wonder if they'll be on the new album...
I added updates now =)
wow...interesting
all of her songs from her new album becoming a theme for one product really impressive GO AYU now i like B&D more too |
oh the new titles sound awesome! thanks for the info!
Thanks!
I loved the names of the new songs, cool that they're themes of a game! |
cool, thanks for the info. :)
Wow more releases. xD I hope this isn't a single, but just new stuff that will appear on the album. :33
thank you for the info.:yes
Ayu looks good without to much 'make-up'. now she isnt more 'the make-up monster' ^^ :rolleyes Now we know why cdjapan write in the album description: 'Deluxe photo book showing the beauty of the real Ayumi' |
startin'?
Interesting. I am happy to see this though. It's been a while since she did sing a theme song for a game.
I was about to post it ^^;; I saw the news on several French videogame websites. Hopefully this tie-in will bring new fans. I want to hear previews so bad..
[EDIT] Seems like gaming fans aren't really happy that Ayu will be singing for Onimusha :rolleyes |
Thanks for the news! I hope a preview will be available soon.
Wow, amazing! It might work like Kingdom Hearts, Ayu will get more fans then..
thanks a lot for news!!!Can't wait!!^o^
i LOVE these titles !!

I'm always wrong on my predictions, but for "Startin'" I think it will be a cross between "real Emotion" (Koda Kumi) and "WE WISH." "Rainy day" will definitely be a ballad.
Here's a crappy auto-translation of the info from one of the sites.

i bet that Startin' is just like Catcher in the Light.. or something like that.. rainy day.. lol.. it may be a ballad.. hope it is like CAROLS... but i dont think it will be so.. cos that will be the newest single instead..
i think this will be her next year single...
Maybe Avex want to make money from it... |
oh wow!! ayu is going nutes again!! Man in Japan any song that goes with a video game sales like crazy I hope it will does the same to ayu's album!!!
Thanks for the info.
Rainy Day sounds beautiful - I can't wait to hear it! Startin', not so much. ;) |

That pic of her looks like a mug shot!! LOL!
This is kool seeing how its gonna be in Onimusha which is released on Jan 1st 2006 just lyk Ayu's album!!!
Ayu + CAPCOM = My favorite artist + My favorite game company => that just gotta be the best game ever!
She looks horrible in that picture. Not because of the cap. Because of the style. Her hair looks really fake. Her extensions usually aren't this bad.
Is she wearing a rug? |
Pretty cool, LISA sung the themes for another capcom game.
Probably both songs will not be released at AYU's new album - they will be release only as independent single + included OS.

Ayumi Hamasaki to contribute two songs to a VG
http://1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3145599
--------- Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams Release Date On January 26th it'll be up against some stiff competition. by David Karlin, 11/09/2005 Following up the hit title Onimusha 3, Capcom's Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is near finished and almost ready to be released in Japan. On January 26th, 2006, the title will go on sale alongside other major games like Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus and Atlus's Devil Summoner Kuzunoha Raidou. Will it be able to top these other titles in sales? Well, that's still too early to call. In Japan, the Onimusha series has seen some decline in popularity with each game, so Capcom is hoping this revitalization with brand new characters, new game systems, and a controllable 3D camera will be what's needed to bring Onimusha back into the spotlight. Alongside the announcement of a firm date for the game, producer Inafune mentioned that there will be a total of five playable characters in Dawn of Dreams and that the very popular J-pop singer Ayumi Hamasaki would be contributing two songs for the game. The song "Startin'" is an energetic song to go along with the opening cinema, while "Rainy Day" a ballad to be used for the end credits. Capcom also made it clear that they are expecting the new Onimusha to be a big hit and are releasing several related products alongside the game itself, including a drama cd and a DVD/UMD that contains an 80min movie of the game entitled "Shin Onimusha The Story". If all goes well Onimusha Dawn of Dreams should be released in the US around the same timeframe. For more details, check out our preview. -------------------------- Guess it's true about those new songs then. |
woohoo! Thanks for the info! Hopefully these are better than pride and B&D........
cool! thanks for the info! :]
Cool nice promo route for the songs
Woah, the releases just keep coming.
I like the title Startin', but not so much rainy day...mostly because I've heard titles like that so often. But here's to hoping for awesome songs! |

From the other thread:
The song "Startin'" is an energetic song to go along with the opening cinema, while "Rainy Day" a ballad to be used for the end credits. http://www.ahsforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36031 So we have one upbeat song and one slow song :) |

oh well i cant wait~ im 80% sure im going to get the game, but if i get the japanese version i won't be able to understand!! O_O
and if i get the english version than i can probably only hear an english version of Ayu's song.... |
You never know! They might not dub it over.. did they do it for the other Onimusha games? :o
Zeo [AYU IN AMERICA?!?! PMGGGG HOTT] |
Of course it's true. If I wasn't sure about information I posted I'd state it's a rumor.. This news was stated by about 10 official news sites :p But thanks for an english version
Eww, why couldnt Ayu just sing for the next Katamari Damacy or Final Fantasy instead.. >.< I hate Onimusha, the camera in the 3 games suck so badly.. Luckily the album comes out earlier! ^^ Final Fantasy 7 would surely beat Onimusha flat..
Hehe I am afraid the game can't top the other two. Or maybe I'm just too biased with Final Fantasy titles~! Hehe. Look forward to these 2 songs =D
cool
Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!
She sung Depend on you for the video game Thousand Arms on the PlayStation years ago... :3 |

there's a pic of ayu's message. "after the tie-up decision, ayumi sends a video message" (from GAME Watch) .vic 鹿島アントラーズ 53pts(2nd)がんGOばれ!GO! play「ワンダと巨像」ing play「WE9:UE」ing |
According to _yuki @ T-N it shall actually be a single. The single "Startin'/Rainy Day" will go on sale January 25th, according to this. Don't think this was posted before.
It probably will be a single by itself.. after all, most songs come out a little before the actual game.. like with Magna Carta and stuff.. how was it with Hikari? Did she release it a while before the release of KH?
Zeo |
Quote:
Yeah I thought it was odd to release into an album since I donno.. having a whole single would be more of traditional. Koda Kumi and Utada released a single themselves when they sang a theme song. Anyhow I checked for you. Hikari came out on 2002/03/20 but then COLORS had an English version of Hikari - Simple and Clean which came out on 2003/01/29. Kingdom Hearts Release Date: US: September 17, 2002 Japan: March 28, 2002 Europe: November 15, 2002 Sources: CDJapan & IGN |
