whats the difference between jpn singles and overseas editions?

er... differences are:
1) made in japan --> the quality is better, both cd and the printings (my bro told me that the printing in HK edition is so bad)
2) limited edition --> only 300,000 copies were made in japan. I'm not sure about the oversea version but it should exceed this number. First week sales of appears single in japan was about 29X,XXX copies, which means there are less than 10,000 copies of JPN version being sold overseas.

add on: appears single is the first 300,000 limited edition cd off ayu's collection, and its cover matches LOVEppears single cover (black ayu and white ayu correspondingly). In my point of view it's one of the most valuable cd from ayu. Ahh I should have bought it when I was in HK. It's only 20 bucks CDN back then...

btw, Sayonara_Ne, the one you bought... is it new????

I've never noticed a difference in quality between Japan versions and OS versions... I own the Japan version and OS version of LOVEppears, I am, DUTY, and My Story and both versions of each sound great...

btw I just bought Namie's girl talk/speed star jpn version single, and i notice some quality differences in the packaging (better "paper
" quality. otherwise all is the same.

I actually found the appears single at a used cd store for $3.00.... :)

As for OS vs JPN versions, I have bought both types before and I have never noticed any difference in quality.

I bought that used at a Japanese store called Book-Off for 105 yen.

There shouldn't be any difference in quality for the Taiwan imports. Looks like everyone else is talking about HK prints. :shrug

I believe that is wrong.
I don't think the printing are really any different, unless they are illegal bootlegs.

Iv'e had one bootleg, from China, and it was very nice printing.
the quality paper exceeded the quality of normal HK or Japan versions.

And really, I don't think the quality of the music is worse.
my original HK has wonderful quality.
(kinda like FLAC quality to me)

well my Duty album isnt a bootleg and ive compared it with Japan version scans,...*mine is overseas* the pictures are a darker tint and the lyrics are hard to read.

Some people say "big whoop" to it being first pressing Japan version but it's rare! That's what makes it so special ^_^
