Thoughts on "rainy day" PV?
The first thing I thought was Chicago with the blond Ayu hair. Made me think of Roxie.
I like the lighting a lot o____o |
Lucky you that you got it @.@ I can't wait to get mine..
|
plz mirror it if possible... I cant dl it with bittorrent for some reason :(
|
Can someone please upload the PV? I kinda stay away from BT.
|
funny - the pv shows ayu as a german-girl in 1920 - 1930 ^^. The bus stop sign shows (Festhalle - festival hall/ Messe) and the shop in the background (Buchhandlung - Bookshop). Funny ^^
|
A YSI link is in the download section! I'm downloading it now, will edit with my thoughts when I've watched it.
|
I really love it. She looks very pretty in it.
|
Very nice PV! I like it.
|
I really like the whole scenario and yep the lighting is pretty good.
|
I love it.
Ayu is the most beautiful german girl ever ^^' |
Nice PV! She looks so mature, or maybe the word is "grown up." :)
I must say that it reminds me of the HANABI ~episode II~ PV a little. Not much, but when Ayu is singing [in rainy day] and she stops because she's about to cry, that reminded me of HANABI ~episode II~. I almost cried, after she got on the bus, when she looked out the window and saw the dog in the rain. omg just... that kind of stuff leaves me heartbroken. *Just keep thinking, it's not real, and the dog is really okay. ^_^* I loved the end with the window open to sunlight, though. :) Loved it. |
I think it's kinda boring.
|
One of the the most touching PVs of her, surely!
I loved it! |
I think it was ok. Nothing more nothing less. Nothing can ruin this song anyways. ;) I also thought she looked like roxy with that blonde hair. :P
|
I liked it. It's not overdone but has the perfect timing to make scenes look unrushed but not too boring.
|
Ayuu looks weird with blond HEAAAAAAAIIIIIRRRRR! LOL
|
Great. :)
|
I really liked it, it's really smooth :love
|
simple
simple=great PV great PV= a happy me! :) |
I agree. It is simply but not cliche or done in the style just to make a pv and get on with it.
|
What does everyone think the PV is about?
I think she's waiting for someone but he never comes. I'm probably wrong though. |
Hmm... I donno. In the end the blonde Ayu smiles so maybe she was just waiting for the bus. So I do not know about the waiting part but it might be so though.
|
I thought she looked like she was about to cry.
|
well.. I think the pv was ok.. but I just don't like her hair and the way she looks.. lol
|

Anyways...I can't wait to see this PV! :love |
somewhat saddening..
But i love it dearly. -hopes for everyone to NOT make a bunch of sets of it to kill it before it even comes out- :rolleyes |
it's sad and nice. i don't like her hairstyle in this, though. the blonde hairstyle is understandable since it is for the setting and all. but i never liked the bold and delicious cover hairstyle for her. but the pv is really well made. she acts really well. and the dog is cute. i want a dog like that one. :p
|
I guess the dog has some important meanings.
This PV reminds me NEVER EVER(same dog?!) + HANABI II (ayu cries). |
Quote:
i love the european style....the dark lips-stic are great"!!!!! wow ayumi with a true color in her lips!! :luv2 the dog: well i think that ayu understands that the dog is on worst condition than her :D but rain will stop . |
And here I am wondering "what dog?"
The PV was so dark that I could hardly see anything going on. (It's probably the quality) I'll be able to see it better when I get the DVD. The song is very tranquil like the setting. I wonder what made Ayu decide to use a German theme. |
I absolutely loved it! (The song aswell :))
|
i love it. simple, but elegant at the same time. and i love the lighting. another great PV from ayu! :]
|
I found it to be rather dull. Also, Ayu looks like she injected collagen into her lips 0_0 When she stares at that dog, her eyes look HUGE. She doesn't even look real.
|
Poor dog... lol
The movie was nice and simple :yes I liked it. The song was great, but there was these two parts where her voice was an ear bleeding experience... Ill get used to it. I kinda hate it when she cries cuz it looks really fake, but this one was pretty good. :D and It's filmed in Germany! Im glad its not New York cuz I didnt like the B&D and Pride PV settings. lol |
It really impressive, on the one hand, I though it was going to be sad PV, well, it is obvious because rain usually make ppl sad. But in the other hand, latest Ayu PVs had dissapointed me, so I though it was going to be another dissapoint. But I really like the PV, her acts and her look. I think all that mixed with the song, makes "rainy day" a very very good PV.
|
Mhmm! ^ Best PV since after MY STORY
|
Nice & classy, if a bit dull.
I liked how it took place in Germany~ Cute dog, too haha. Glad to see that Ayu wasn't excessively crying. Nice visuals. Probably ranks third for me after Alterna and is this LOVE? And don't be too sad, everyone~ in the end the sunshine comes out :) |
I love it! I think it's about her husband dying in the war and she is all upset and such, and the dog comes, and everyone knows the story about random dogs coming up to a person who has had a loved one die suddenly and they feel that the recently departed person is somehow communication through the dog or something. XD And when she looks at the dog, she smiles because she has closure? Not sure, but that's what I think. :3 I hope to see the Ladies Night PV soon as well. =p
|
Wooo...She went to Germany!!...She is flying all over this year...I like the PV...simple and neat with a beautiful song....

No ones talking about meaning? I think she's saying good bye to the other her. She always has something along the lines of "going on a trip" in her songs. The dog is even a in wondering about. I agree it was kind of boring and maybe something more could have been done? Visually I love the lighting and the beat also reminds me of Hanabi ~II~ to an extent. Does anyone thingk the umbrellas represent protection? I dont know, it seems like Hamasaki doesnt have an umbrella and she's the only one you actually see. |
I like the song more than the PV..
But I guess it's not bad, but I think she looks weird at some angles.. |
The PV was beautiful :) is that Ayus real lashes or is it false?
|
I LOVED this PV very very much!
I think the black-haired Ayu is the blond one older, don't you think? o.o Her make-up, hair and clothes look from an older person. Maybe she's crying because she remembered when she travelled and left somebody at the rain (the dog) LOL I love making theories, even if they're ridiculous o_O' Anyway, I think it's my favourite PV from this new album! =D~ |

I love this PV. It was simple yet soothing, pretty, and sad. It's very nice to see after the shallowness and mediocrity (IMHO) of B&D video. The song itself isn't anything spectacular to me but the mood of the video really fit the song well and I love anything that Ayu does that can evoke emotions in me. |
i think it's okay...nothing much to say about it
|
I thought the letter looked German..
I love the sad theme, and I think the overall theme has to do with loneliness. How she was first lonely, but then she saw the dog. But then the bus came, and the dog was alone again. I know the umbrella people is symbolic for something, but it's too late to think right now for me. I love the song, and THE DOG! teh cuteness^^ |

Anyways, I really liked the PV. Certainly better than the B&D and Pride PVs. |
I loved the dog. Me and my sister went "AWWWWWWWWWWWWW" when we saw it. ^_^
|
Meh. It's ok. I almost fell asleep though. :dead2
It doesn't redeem the album for me at all. Pretty bland. |
I like it, the 2 ayu are both beautiful. The mature one and the younger one! Yes, i have to admit that it's a bit boring, but still creative and may contain a very deep meaning! the scene is pretty and the lighting is good! Another almost black and white PV! Hope the Ladies Night PV is even more deep sensing!
|
It was alright. The atmosphere and setting is so beautiful but I wish there wasn't crying and stuff =(
The blonde ayu was a good one. The other ayu would have been good as well if there hadn't been crying (ahh just my opinion though). |
nothing special...better than heaven though...
|
It had some kind of western-sad feeling to it and the background is an german society =) I like it =)
|
lawl; omg.
You guys say this is sooo boring.. and yet I am reminded of HEAVEN's whole thing with just zooming out on her >> This is LEAGUES better than HEAVEN's PV, and it makes me tingly inside <3 I love Ayu xD |
i like it a lot! simple, nice lighting and color, the only thing i don't like is the people with th umbrellas at the end.
her look: so pretty! i love the style, both of them, blonde and brunette, i love she wears panties, i think it's the first time is ee ayu iwth panties! and so classy! ^_^ and the german scenary, now that i think about it, no way to say had something similar, but this PV is greater !!!! yesss, a very nice PV, yes sir! edit:_ i think it was a set |

and before all that I would've felt it months before Ayu even thought about coming here :P |
i think its about something with loneliness... ok, here's my take...
the blond ayu is all alone in the bus stop n u can c in the beginning that she's talking to herself sometimes(i think..)... thn the dog comes in (men's best friend) which is like a imaginary friend as u can c sometimes its there n sometimes its not... thn ppl with umbrella r allowed to move freely while ayu could only be in the small shelter which means she couldnt make friends with anyone... n when the bus came, she smiled after looking at the dog which means that she doesnt need anymore imaginary friend... n about the black hair ayu, i think its an additional scene to enhance the emotion of the pv... THATS ALL!! simple n nice pv... 9/10!! |
It reminded me of Chicago too, but I think the blond hair looks cute on her. I wonder what the German theme means, though..

the more i watch it the mroe i like it! i love this song, it's soo sad!!! i tihnk this is one of Ayu's saddest PV's Quote:
|
sweet, simple, sad.
I love the setting of the PV! Beautiful! The lightning, is just so OMG! It rocks totally! I love how European the setting is. The plot's a bit boring and bland, but I think it's a very artistic kind of PV. I do hope she does more in her PV then look like a doll though. Still, one of her better PVs (alterna's definitely her BEST PV this year) and I think the song's light mood truly exemplifies a rainy day. The setting looks like it's just pre or post World War II so I think it might have something to do with that as well, seeing that there's this scene of people walking around with black umbrellas. Beautiful, Dark, Modern Gothic I would say! |
i LOVE it !
one of her best pvs this year. when she released "bold & delicious" i was very disappointed, but now with all these great previews and pvs coming out i'm feeling like this album will be perfect ! |
Fantastic PV and I love the song.
|
She looks great with her blond hair! Great PV!:D
BTW, what does 'PV' stand for? |
It stands for Promotional Video :)
|

How the PV ended was definetely the best part. |
I think it's sorta interesting that she's using the 20s- 30s- 40s ish time frame again. Look at the Alterna and my name's WOMEN PVs. Does anyone else but me think that maybe there's something to that?
|
I just dom't get what is it about! Maybe I need lyrics? : bus stop, Ayu there, Ayu at some kind of flat, Ayu is sad, and that dog...what a mess! What is she trying to say?
|
it was alright....her blond hair was a bit weird..didn't really match her..
|
i want to see the pv
but i will wait until the dvd is in my hand looks like a great pv... i think the best PV in this year is STEP you and then Alterna |
agree!!1

This is how I interpeted it:
She's been waiting for someone, for quite some time. And she used to be going through a lot of pain over it. But now she can move on (hence the bus) ... And she's content. |
Quite nice :) The Ayu with dark hair looks very elegant.
|
I really like the PV. I wasn't too fond of the Ayu with the short blonde hair.
