The guy singing in the 1st video is Ken Maeda and the one in the 2nd vid is Gorie. Gorie (with Jasmine and Joan) released 2 singles so far, Mickey and PECORI NIGHT.

I think they're REALLY crazy! And they're like SUPER hilarious! I think only the Japanese are that inventive and open to accept them haha. If this was ever to happen in the English Music Market, I think everyone would reject them like mad ... but yup, appreciate all the crazy para para and catchy tracks haha!

Hard to say, cross-dressers and transsexuals are popular in Taiwan as well (my mom constantly sees them on variety shows and ALWAYS says that some of the transsexuals are more of a woman than any of us). While I don't think this equals acceptance in either Taiwan or Japan, it is openness to these people to some extent. It's hard to explain, on one hand it's something of a spectacle, on the other hand the audience does actually connect.

The last song in the maeken viceo (BANZAI) is so cool! ^^ Most of the gorie songs aren't altered at all though, they sound mostly the same as the originals. Fun videos, thanks for posting.

I heard people from China were going to Taiwan to see the "Boy Girl Group," which are a bunch of cross dressers who put on a show. One of the people talked about how people would except them on stage but outside the theater they wouldn’t be so excepted.

I've seen the Hinoi team perform before on the Nippon Record Taisho and they imitated that O-zone song. Do they always do imitations like that?

^ All of their singles so far have been covers of old Eurobeat tracks, haha. I don't think Hinochi's gotten -any- original material since their debut.
