A "NANA" anime is in production and Anna Tsuchiya is going to sing the BLACK STONES songs. Olivia will do the TRAPNEST songs.

Who the freak is Anna?

^Um, she's a model and actress. She's Japanese/Russian and starred in the Kamikaze girls movie that came out last year sometime.

Eh. I hope the songs are decent. I don't know if I'd be watching the anime, because it'd kind of ruin how I see the manga it's self :| i'd rather leave the music they do up to imagination.

I read on some LJ that Olivia is also half-Japanese.. interesting :yes Anyone got a pic of her?

Anna was both hilarious and badass in Kamikaze Girls, and looking forward to new material by OLIVIA.

I think Anna wouldn't make a bad Nana at all. She did the role of Ichigo very well in Kamikaze Girls, plus they're both musicians with an edge, so I think there shouldn't be any problems there.

It's kind of hard to characterise Reira though, since we still have no idea exactly what kind of music Trapnest does.

I'm interested in seeing this anime, since I love the manga, but I am also very interested in hearding the music!

I loved Anna in Shimotsuma Monogatari/Kamikaze girls, but I didnt know she was a singer as well ^^;

She was in a band called Spin Aqua for a while.

Olivia is really cool. She trys a lot of new things [even though her albums are really really spread out].

I know someone posted a pic of Olivia, but she's really pretty and I enjoy her a lot. This one is more recent, during one of her concerts.

Her remix album sounds really good too. Slightly "suggestive" titles though. :P Her music sounds quite good, but it's hard to judge from the clips.

When I got aware about that news I couldn't belive it! My favourit japanese singer is back to sing a song for my favorite manga, it was too big to be true! But now i'm waiting almost patiently... lol
When they say that her single will be released soon, I hope it won't be too long to wait! So now I'm counting the days... lol

Slap that naughty body? LOL .. If I don't recall, it's a song for an anime :P All of the songs she's released are in ENGLISH.. lol. More info about her, she's married to a half Japanese model guy named Joshua and they have one son (they're both really young o_o)

This was also mentioned on Toi et Moi as the webmaster there has opened a new french site on Olivia and Caroline Lufkin, but credit goes to sleeping_child who posted this in the Livejournal community space_halo.

The single comes in June and the song will be in JAPANESE! Hopefully she will also use the english lyrics she created to make an english version of it too LOL

Interesting interview :) And I was wondering about Tsuchiya Anna's ethnicity...definitely knew she was half-Japanese, but didn't know she was half-Russian. ^^

Ah. So that's why her name sounded slightly Russian. I wonder why OLIVIA doesn't want to perform live.

I like Olivia's voice a lot more than Anna's for some reason.

In the interview, I didn't really like the one word answers. I like the person to go into more detail and such .. and not just leave their fans on the side waiting for them.

I'm guessing she's pretty confident that her single will sell well, considering she doesn't wanna do anything live on TV shows to promote the song on the NANA anime.

no, i don't think so. i read an interview in theme magazine with olivia, caroline, and jeff and olivia was MUCH more talkative. i really don't understand why she was so short in this interview.

It's rather unfair to judge her based on one interview.

I don't think she was rude. Being honest doesn't equal being rude. By reading the whole interview, rather than thinking she was rude I actually think she must be very busy - short answers, and the fact she says hopefully there won't be any TV performances is probably because she must be focusing into something else at the moment. If she had been rude she would just said: "I won't take this interview ". Maybe she wasn't planning of releasing something yet, and she decided to pick the invitation more by pressure than by her own will. Another reason I think people are thinking she's rude is because she admitted not watching anime when she's actually going to make a song that will be featured on one. Well guys, you can't exect her to like animes all of a sudden just because she was choosen to sing a song for one. That's called pérsonality. She'll do her professional work - to make the song, but we can't expect her to become NANA's number 1 fan.

I guess I didn't find her interview rude at all. Hmm actually I didn't think much of the interview anyways, but it's better then nothing I guess.
