This is the official thread for the singer Mai, who came onto the scene as a part of avex's Rythem Zone as a solo artist with her debut single "Reborn". Her music is very trance like, and her style is very naked :P!

Yeah I love the artistic quality of her "Mai" singles, although I believe her music sounded better in her "Ruppina" years. Well I like Mai, and I will get her new album if it comes out :)

I like "eyes" a LOT, the song, the single was ok. I diden't care that much for her first single, but she definetly has potential and I'll be watching out. She reminds me a bit of KOTOKO's electronic dance stuff.

I just got a mail from PlayAsia saying that she'll release a new single called "Natsu Natsu XXX" on July 19. I bought her first single, but I didn't like the second one, so I didn't buy it. I wonder how this new one will be!

Uhh, you guys want to promote Mai, yet there's no way to listen to her music but the clip on her site. Maybe there should be uploads/downloads so people can actually get into her? Good idea, yes?

Rhythm Zone's Mai has TWO new releases coming out.

In all honesty I like her title tracks a lot more than her ballads. Lol, I can't even remember what they sounds like.

I love both her a-sides and b-sides. The ballads are really inspired and touching. And the a-sides seem to have alot of soul in them, I can see why she's rythmzone :P.
This website says: "The album will come in two editions: CD+DVD or CD-only. If you want it all beware, each edition contains a different photo booklet, and the CD-only edition has a bonus track. The DVD contains a video clip and also a look behind the scenes into the making of the intriguing photo booklets." In didn't know it was going to come with a clip of her making the photobooks, this should be fun :P! |

I'm curious with this, coz the whole staff will be able to witness her nakedness O.O Nude paintings/pictures models at my country would only want to be painted by her own painter/photographer and it will be in a special room, so no one other than the painter/photographer will be able to witness the artist's nude body. But that's in my country >.< I don't know if it's different in Japan. Btw, anyone hasn't seen MAI's videos of Reborn? Chriskay, I think since she seems pretty open with her nudeness, and since you have to have more than one person in the room shooting the PV, I think many people will see her naked in the making of, lol. She should be wearing a robe alot though XD! Also, is it ok if I borrow those screen shots (because you have the PV on your comp and I don't) and make a set with them when you change yours? |
Hmm, I'm quite agree on that. Eventhough sometimes, nude body shooting could be really taken seriously by women. I'm glad that Mai has the courage and is open-minded enough to pose nude. If she wasn't maybe my love wasn't the same for her. I like her because of originality.

I wouldn't be surprised if she wore things like a tiny thong and pasties for most of the shooting (when those things are generally covered by the blanket/her hair) they could even be digitally removed to look like her body. But either way, Mai would have to be very self-confident about her image to do that. You go, girl!
I keep meaning to go watch those PVs, but I keep forgetting. That and I get impatient for things to load. =P |
At this moment, I'm thinking if her PV-staffs, camera director, & photographer are women/girls. So being nude wouldn't be too hard to be done eh? This is just a prediction anyway. :P

Columbia Records has a japanese-korean singer, MAI in full caps. While our Rhythm Zone Mai is only the first letter M capitalized. I hope now people realizes how important capitalization is. |

I really liked the new song/PV! Although at first I thought the PV was boring...in the sense it was just like her others. Then she was dancing! It was a great change. I loved the pink lights.

According to amazon.co.jp (as far as I could tell from the translation xD) the nude photobook is going to be 60's themed like the covers! I like the new nude approach, it'll be more raw as opposed to her artsy covers!
