Just recently ayu was listed in the most hated celebrity in the tv industry and that poofs her popularity is falling. Although Ayu was rank 12, but she still ranks number one as a female singer. This is what audience said about ayu, the way ayu talks in her show "Ayu Ready?" makes the audience felt unhappy. Also when she is singing her voice is like unreal or not natural

Whomever you talk about, whether it's Ayu or Hikki, there'll always be us supporters, and there'll also be those who bash the singers, so as much as we'd like to stop them, everyone's entitled to there opinions, so all we can do is hope that this rumor won't affect Ayu's career ;)

You know, we've read so much of this crap, I don't even care if it's true anymore. It's nothing to get up in arms about. We at the forum all love and support Ayu, that's all that matters. Just today, I was in the checkout line at the grocery store, and this tabloid story caught my eye: "EXCLUSIVE! Britney Spears caught without makeup!" I laughed forever when I read that. It just goes to show that tabloids and newspapers will print whatever trash/crap they can get their hands on. This news doesn't upset me too much. Ayu's sales and popularity will never reflect or prove that news. So, don't worry about it! :thumbsup

maybe because ayumi took Coco lee's place in the TOP asia artist last year. that's why some Coco lee's fans are bashing her. but i have alot of chinese that are ayumi's fan and when tehy read it, they were mad too. but i doubt it's true. because ayu is the best sellling artist in Asia!

This doesn't have anything to do with nation of China or the Chinese people, does it? Japanese tabloids publish false stories about Ayumi Hamasaki (remember the Thailand rumors). If Ayumi Hamasaki was known in NA or Europe she would also be subject to slander by American and European tabloids.

Why do newspapers publish false gossip about celebrities? There is no conspiracy. It is simply a matter of economics. They sell what people buy.

Anyway, we all know that these sources can't be trusted. Don't take seriously anything printed in a tabloid, whatever country it originates in.

I don't think anyone was intentionally trying to put down Chinese people as a whole, but tabloids are terrible anywhere. So remember guys that people come here from many different countries, and you can't judge a whole group of people by the actions of a few of them.

Like nmskalmn said, remember that this news is from a tabloid who is trying to stir up controversy to sell more papers. Don't take them too seriously no matter where they are from.

What I want to say is that, you can repulse to those tabloids, but please do not turn your guns at the whole race. Since there are also a 4000-member forum set at there.

It's quite unfair for a lot of people got bashed just because of some minorities' works. I think I have the duty here to stress again, that we have a policy called "50/50" and the anti-racism rule, that is we does not believe a news fully, until it has been confirmed by several sources or being cleared by 3rd party nor tolerating any form of racism.

Next, I hope that you guys can just get over with it. So what she was being accused? I know some of you are angry with those lousy writers, but so what if you're so working up? Even Ayu seldom stand up and defend herself except a few times.

Right. ALL tabloids EVERYWHERE lie. Know why? Because people who like gossip buy them and make the rich. Of course, I buy them myself sometimes. But the truth is, only the fans of someone know the truth and know to appreciate that idol. There's always someone who has their opinion about someone and that's okay. If someone thinks Ayu is to cutesy or too much of a diva or something, let them think that. We like her because we like the way she is. That's why she has so many fans.

While I dont know for sure, I imagine Ayus huge success over the last few years has made her quite rich.
Even if her popularity drops a little, I think she will still be ok and make music as long as it is worthwhile to her.
