[NEWS] BLUE BIRD secures WEEKLY #1
 

Oricon article basically saying that the difference between #1 and #2 is already a lot and oricon says that BLUE BIRD will secure the WEEKLY #1 position. It will become her 15th consecutive #1 single and her 27th overall #1 single.

On second though, if this means that BLUE BIRD will sell as much as say.. fairyland.. it means that it wll be the best selling female solo single of 2006.. =P Which would be really weird IMO, this singles isen't THAT good.

i really want to know the numbers too. if it already is set to be the weekly #1 then either its selling really well, or everything else is selling really crappy.

First week sales of Startin' was 116k~ and yes, it's oricon.

I also want the numbers, really bad... I won't get to know them until in more than a week ;_;

Well, it was pretty obvious she was going to get #1 this week regardless of the quality of the single.

That's for sure. However, it wasn't really obvious since there were some big-ish names releasing. I mean PIERROT's breakup single and TOKIO.. and stuff. xD I guess all it took was one day for them to say '..oh you get #1. xD'

hmm... i really wish the single whould have sales like Inspire in the first week with drop-offs like Step You/Is This Love for the next weeks. Open large, then drop-off slowly. However, that would be tough since i think summer would most likely be loaded with singles from the big J-pop stars. But still, this news is a good sign that sales will be an improvement over Startin/Born to Be's. Here's hoping for a 150,000-180,000 opening week!
