[9/20 ORICON] Some info

BLUE BIRD is out of the TOP 200.
(miss) understood is out of the TOP 300.

Some info about the close race:

06 877,433 '(miss) understood' - Hamasaki Ayumi
07 867,362 'ULTRA BLUE' - Utada Hikaru (Weekly Sales: 2,004; down 14.1% from last week)
08 861,135 'NAMELESS WORLD' - Kobukuro (Weekly Sales: 1,709; down 6.46% from last week)
09 824,293 'LOVE COOK' - Otsuka Ai (Weekly Sales: 1,074; down 25.52% from last week)

Kobukuro is releasing a BEST Album next week, which will have a good chance of making it to the TOP 5 yearlies (million seller) and they also have a tour in October. Both of these might fuel sales of NAMELESS WORLD.

darkswordz 20th September 2006 04:15 PM

let's hope BB return soon :)
the worse postion ayu can get in the yearly chart is the 9th postion, at least she is in the top ten :D

perfectdeath 20th September 2006 04:16 PM

Thanks for the info.

Ayumi-Yummi 21st September 2006 10:41 AM

I wonder if UB can outsell MU by the end of the yearly charts. I hoped for a long time that it wont happen but I want it to happen now. I love both albums, with MU the favorite of the two, but I just want to see a defeat. Sounds weird coming from me, but MU is the first Ayumi album that I didn't buy because I loved the single tracks more so then the album ones.

ayu_ready? 21st September 2006 07:18 PM

out...:(

Thulanks 24th September 2006 03:13 PM

It charted for almost a year, which I find quite impressive, even if the sales of the album are pretty "low".

elepop 24th September 2006 03:45 PM

Close sales between Ayu and Hikki!

Vienni 29th September 2006 07:45 AM

Go Ayu !!!
She still in top 10. :)

BraiNz 29th September 2006 09:31 AM

Aw!! How come "BLUE BIRD" fell out... But whatever, it will be back, I'm sure!! :P

cleftjuston 30th September 2006 02:40 AM

m(u) still strong! but why no weekly sales?

immel 30th September 2006 02:43 AM

^Because both (miss)understood and BLUE BIRD dropped out of the top-lists, and after that their sales numbers are not released to anyone except those who pay BIG money to get the exact numbers.

truehappiness 30th September 2006 02:46 AM

Dang it. Someone pay big money NOW. lol

Or we could wait for the Ayu's 50th single when she hits some record again.. D:

immel 30th September 2006 02:50 AM

What do you mean about waiting for the 50th single?

truehappiness 30th September 2006 03:02 AM

See, when BLUE BIRD came out, there was that new record set or something..

And they had a list of singles' sales up till now.. :o

immel 30th September 2006 03:06 AM

Ah, yes, I remember that :yes. But wasn't that list pretty... outdated or something? I remember the numbers being a bit odd? Maybe that was some mag scan... around when Startin' was released... bad memory.

Even if it was a list I wonder if it was the "official" final sales from Oricon or if it was the absolutely exact sales that avex are holding on to?

Maybe I missed something.

truehappiness 30th September 2006 03:07 AM

It was from ORICON STYLE, so they were from ORICON.

immel 30th September 2006 03:09 AM

Now that you mention it I remember it so much that I even remembered the location where I save the magazine on my computer... lol.

BanFan 30th September 2006 09:57 PM

Does anyone have the latest Oricon update? This is 10 days old.

immel 30th September 2006 10:03 PM

I think people stopped bothering when both (m)u and BB dropped out of the toplists, so it'll probably be harder much to get the numbers from some source.

BanFan 30th September 2006 10:08 PM

I'm curious about ULTRA BLUE's sales next to (miss)understood.

ayu_fan929 1st October 2006 04:48 AM

*6 *,877,433 ***,*** (miss)understood 浜崎あゆみ 2006/01/01
*7 *,869,001 **1,639 ULTRA BLUE 宇多田ヒカル 2006/06/14
*8 *,863,351 **2,216 NAMELESS WORLD コブクロ 2005/12/21

immel 1st October 2006 06:18 AM

I very much doubt it'll pass (m)u before the end of the year.

Thank you for updating us :).

BanFan 1st October 2006 06:19 AM

I'd be surprised it it didn't pass (miss)understood.

lotusoka 1st October 2006 06:30 AM

Sales have been low period.

immel 1st October 2006 06:31 AM

I'm also surprised, but the Oricon year is over very very soon.

truehappiness 1st October 2006 06:50 AM

I honestly don't care. o_o;

Sales matter on some level, but recently I've grown to not really care.. >>

Terri 1st October 2006 07:22 AM

Interesting, thanks for sharing

kournikova 1st October 2006 02:48 PM

? everyone in the single world still compare hamasaki and utada... or hamasaki and koda....... >.< but interesting though,.... both are struggling :D
