Running this through excite would show..
The new single might be a double a-side and the release date could be:
NOVEMBER 30th. AGAIN. (or maybe the 29th? :/)

This might spell out a late album.. or SOMETHING.. I don't know..

This still is NOT confirmed, so... don't take this as truth yet.
I don't even think it's true. I guess some sort of 'hope' is better than none, hm?

If this is the date then I suspec they'll run the usual full promotion campaign like for every single this year... I think a "surprise" single, announced like 1 or 2 weeks before release would maybe be better, people would be surprised and lots of attention brought to it.

I suspect that a late January album will come.. or worse yet, a 1/1/07 release.. ><

The best would be that this is true and we will get it sometime this year.

I can deal with an 11/29 release as long as we don't see another release until early spring...

I hope Mika's new NANA single doesn't do too well [it only had 120k first week last year.. x.x]

A 1/1 release would be great, at least she'll have two weeks to get to #1. I don't want Ayu not get #1, it'll be a disaster.

That's a pretty interesting situation, I don't think she'd be ready to release an album early next year if this single comes at the end of november. I wouldn't expect an album in this case earlier than in March/April...

Well, look at No way to say and Bold & Delicious. Both came VERY close to the albums.

No. I think that by the time that Bold and Delicious was released, everyone knew of the album that was coming, and people weren't exactly into buying it.

For NWTS, I think the album's announcement came a bit after No way to say came out.. instead of being announced BEFORE No way to say came out..

I see... avex and their mistakes, or experimenting, or whatever the hell they do.

They'd do well to wait that week after a release again.

Completely knowing that an album is coming soon is so much more of a single deterant than just predicting one will be coming.

I think the biggest flaw was that so many different releases were done at the same time.. :/

For some reason, I don't think it's NY that really hurt it.

The announcements really have an affect, imo. Crystal Kay, while never really being a big single seller, had Call me Miss.... announced before Kirakuni release and that did HORRIBLE.

Whether the album comes out in Dec/Jan or is held off till later, I think a late date like Nov. 30th is not going to be good for sales because whether an album date has been released or not, the general public expects her albums to come out at that time so it could hurt the single sales. It was getting so late in the year that I was just hoping that these songs would be saved for the album and we would get an album or mini-album release instead.

ooooooh! this is good news--er, rumor! i love rumors, becuz atleast its something! this lack of news is killing me o_o but i hope it is nov 29 becuz the wait is killing me! however, i do think that if mika's single interferes and ayu doesnt get number 1, it will spawn many "ayu's #1 streak has ended!!!!" lol :P

I don't see why people want an album now.. that'd be too quick for anyone.. only 4 songs and probably like 13 album tracks..

Too many new tracks that all the sound the same <3, if they were significantly different from each other, I'd be delighted with new tracks.

I want an album! Who cares about whether the people HERE would like it. "MY STORY" was a hit in Japan so I don't see why releasing an album now would be bad. It could do it some good if avex has a lot of money put into promoting it. Plus I'm guessing Ayu doesn't really care about holding a billion records or whatnot with sales and stuff. She's accomplished enough and Ayu just isn't the "it" girl anymore, which is normal.

Plus the idea of 13 new songs is... awesome. LOL

I'd rather have them scrap the whole single and just make the album. haha, I want one before I go Los Angeles (Dec. 22) so I can listen to it when we're on the plane, and watch the PVs on the ride to Vegas.

I would love her to release many more singles. so the release of 1love/jewel is welcomed!

She usually aims for 15-17 tracks.. Hopefully this year's is 17.

I don't care what Ayu puts out, just as long as her heart & soul goes into it. As long as I can hear the emotion/dedication in her voice I really don't give a damn what she does. It's her and avex's decision to decide what she does....yeah I want an album too but I'd rather for her to take her time, GET SOME REST *national tour&a-nation&two singles to promote in-between*(COME ON!! she needs a break) and do what she's gotta do.

If this rumour is true, then avex must have faith that this single will do well. I mean, she'd be against a NANA single. On one hand, the last NANA single only debuted at ~120k last year, but avex usually puts Ayu on dates with 0 competiton (as done especially with her past 2 single releases).

And since she did some recording in LA for the album maybe we'll see the album in late January/early February? I just hope they don't do a 4th single.

If there's any kind of truth to this date it would probably be so that it will be released the 29th.

I would think that they might release it in December.. VERY early december.. but I think that might put it against Yuna Ito.. then again, she's not too high firstweek wise, but very consistent in sales..

I don't think it's so much as to that Avex puts the date on a 0 competition week, but that Ayu causes the 0 competition week... but maybe that's changed now ^^"

Do you know what Avex might be doing? Use 1LOVE and JEWEL as promotional songs and advertise them (more tie-ups, tv performances, radio-play etc) but not release the actual songs until the album comes out. Sort of what No Doubt did with "Don't Speak" (in fear that the single would canabalise the album's sales). Though, I don't think Avex is game enough to that.

Anthony, maybe... maybe not? I don't think avex would do anything that's very easy to figure out, because if people knew when and how they are going to put their album/single releases in connection to eachother... yeah, we know how that goes already I think.

Whatever happens we'll all be just as confused until the actual announcements.

avex usually does do things in ways that are easy to figure out..

It's just Ayu who is sort of like: "Hey I wanna do a live of this now okay? -does live 2 months before-~".. At least, that's how I imagine it..

Sales of the previous single? Hello, the NANA singles didn't debut too well, they were just amazingly stable. Of course, NANA2's singles will sell more in the long run, but for those first two weeks, Ayu will hold the top spot. :D

Are you guys all worn out and in need of new Ayu stuffs? I'm not really so i can wait til whenever for new stuff, altho i think it would be wise for Avex/Ayu to spread the releases of singles/albums out. I personally haven't even gotten a firm grasp of BLUE BIRD or Beautiful Fighters yet.
