yeah im quite tired of those songs but i think would be fun if we were actually there at the concert, so that's probably why :shrug

I hope Connected will be sung :( I love that song! As well as medley classics from A Song for XX - LOVEppears^^

Connected failed at CDL01-02, which means it'll probably never be sung again. It wasn't a popular song either.

I really want Daybreak (H/\L's mix) in there for some reason. As the ending song. ASFXX Session 2 would be neat, too.

But she'll probably just go back to the popular songs like evolution and SURREAL.

I hope she does go back to SURREAL, only with better outfits this time.

i have the feeling that we have to say good-bye to ayu for some time or forever really soon....everything's going forward to it.....
But let's see...
i had an good argument for the BEST:
Ayu wants to do an "ALL~ASIA" Tour next year and perhaps that's the reason why she has no time to make an extra CDL....there was tour 2003-2004 where the CDL was included in one concert of the tour wasn't it?...so perhaps that's the best argument so far ^^
I hope ayu will someday do a "World Tour" and come to europe ^^

I don't think we are going to be saying "good-bye" to Ayu anytime soon. That is the feeling I got when I saw that the opening track to Secret is entitled "Not yet"

Oh wow! I never thought of this being the last CDL! I really really really hope that its not though. Because that would be like just giving the jpop queen chair to Kuu...

The earlier date is when TeamAyu members can pre-order tickets, the later date is when they are released to the public.

I doubt "BEST of CDL" means "LAST of CDL". Knowing Ayu, she'll slow down, but she won't stop for a while.

I want to go to her next Arena Tour... or CountDown Live... now all I need is a study abroad application, over $3000, and know how to speak Japanese. XD How I'm going to do that in less than a year, I have no clue. I just hope she comes to Tokyo or Osaka, otherwise, I'm sunk. XD

BEST of CDL probably just means that it might be a bit more like an ARENA TOUR.. :P

After all, the ticket price went up, I think..

It went up with 1,000 yen, I believe. I seem to remember seeing the price for last years CDL was 6,500. This years ATs price was 7,000 yen.

They better do something to justify the price rise. It sure is a neat way of promoting it, because people will talk about it like "Heard about Ayu's new concert? It's supposed to be BEST, whatever that means! And the price is higher than normal, it's got to be something special!", it'll get people worked up about it. I don't really see why, as the CDLs have never had any problems with selling out.

Yeah, now that they've gotten their hands on screens like the ones from AT06 they might as well use them again, and again. I bet people would think that's cheap, but they sure was amazing.

Hmm, why's all this talk about goodbyes popping up again :) I'm sure ayu still has a loooong way to go. Even if she goes on a hiatus to marry and become a mummy, I'm sure she'll be back again someday. After all, it's not like singing is just a career to her, it just seems like she's born to sing. ;)

I think that if this were her last CDL, she'd definitely say something about it other than "The next concert is gonna be really good! :D!".

I think it could be her last CDL - after all, ending the Countdown performances doesn't mean ending her career... she might come up with some other formula for live shows.

I believe she wouldn't make up her mind about ending CDLs a year before, if she wants to stop, we'd probably get the announcement some time right before the coming CDL.

She might announce it during this year's CDL. As I said, it doesn't have to mean there'll be only the yearly tour from now on, she might change CDLs from new year's eve concerts to... I dunno, Christmas concerts?... Halloween? xDDD

The title of the CDL doesn't represent everything.
Why should we have a thought that BEST must be the last.
Maybe Ayu wants to have a different CDL this year, but it would sounds strange for naming it as "Better of CDL".
You know, Japanese usually likes to call their things the best.
So it won't be the last CDL.

Haha, maybe. But there isn't many artists with the same ability to amass an audience like Ayu, possibly a few of the boy bands out there, but I believe Ayu might be one of the few artists who can sell 30,000-35,000 tickets for two performances, around and on new years eve.

The recent years it has always been held at Yoyogi Stadium, in central Tokyo, right between Harajuku and Shibuya.

Stadiums are larger than arenas aren't they? But some of the venues in the Arena Tour are stadiums I think... O_o

I think that the setup is sort of what determines the name of the 'tour..'~

Stadiums can be used for ARENA TOURS when closed off and only like a fourth of the actual capacity is used..

I think the STADIUM TOUR 2002 A was set up somewhat like a-nation.. :o [soccer stadium-ish?]

We'll all know when the tracklist comes out for this CDL. If she's going to sing some songs which she has not sung for veeerrrrrry long (M, A Song for XX, maybe even poker face), then it might be her last :( :( :(

I mean, has Ayu ever kept something a secret until the day of? I think it'd be a pretty crappy New Year's if Ayu was like "Oh, this is my last one. I'm sorry! :<~"

I'm guessing "BEST of" is just a name that it's gonna go by for this one year, since it'll probably be 'best' of all CDLs up until now..

i hope it's not overrated...

i don't think this is her last CDL. Having a 'BEST' doesn't mean anything, just like a best collection doesn't mean the end of an artist's career. If this is true, someone would be out of the business for having 2 best in 9 month. (just an example, no offence) I was under the impression that the 'BEST' indicate the quality of the actual performance, nothing more :D

it does worry me...

maybe she is making the BEST OF CDL now coz next year she is gonna tour Asia so cant do the CDL???

They don't have to be. Stadiums are outdoor arenas.

Yoyogi Stadium isn't actually a stadium, it's an arena. The name is quite misleading, it's been explained before in some thread about stadiums/arenas/domes.

I don't think they mean it to be the best countdown live ever, there wouldn't really be any point in that if they are planning to hold more of them later.

It's got the be that it's supposed to be some kind of "BEST of" performance, think of something like A MUSEUM.

Why did Connected fail???, I just watched the performance and that she did really well...well anyways OMG I hope she doesn't leave I just want one more studio album from her, but then again that's asking too much since she's done enough...well I still love her, and I hope she does another album, and I hope her concert for secret will be amazing, and I hope she does extrememly well on her CDL!!!

That's her personal opinion. I myself also thing that the Connected performance was excellent.

And secondly, I did like that performance as well. I was even going to sub it, but I lost the video. But her voice was...well, bad, (her voice was squeaking when she tried to hit some of the notes) and the props/dance was mediocre. It's just not a popular song--especially when you have the big "I am.." hits like evolution and M overshadowing it.

I believe I just like the power in it, the song itself and the composition, simple as it may be, because I agree that her vocals wasn't the greatest back then.

Yeah I like the CDL concerts, too. They're a bit more lowkey than her ARENA TOUR venues and I like that every now and then.

That would be so cool if she'd perform Connected again! I think it's a great song and so underrated :E

Thanks for the heads-up! Wish I could fly there! I hope she sings songs she's never done live before. From recent memory, Will and Ladies Night (preferably ~another night~) top my list! But I would also like to hear numbers from her earlier albums. Hana, And Then and immature would be great, although I foresee pitching problems, hee hee.
