Skipping Startin' there's 1 LOVE. Expecting a lot of this song, lets see.

As soon as it starts you can hear that now, there's going to be something heavy. Heavy with a big H.

The vocals used in this song isn't quite something I've heard Ayumi use before, she's handling it excellently, I like it. JUST ONE LOVE. She always have to mix a little English into her songs, not too bad.

The verses between the choruses and the build up towards the chorus before she sings JUST ONE LOVE is very pushing, umm, hard to find a good word for it.

The arrangements are some of the heaviest Ayumi has used I'd say, it's topped by Because of You in that respect, though.

Another favorite track on the album with this song.

I love drums.

I think that Ayu's outdone her rock self with this entire album.

Back to 1 LOVE:
It's all like, hot and amazing.

I really don't know how else to describe it. The melody is quite haunting, like you're trapped!

I sense some hotness during AT07.

Yes, I feel she specifically constructed this song for some awesome AT07 performance. Listening to it isn't just enough, I must see ayu strut her stuff live! The whole thing just screams it! SCREAMS IT!

Easily the best, ear-catching piece on the whole album for myself. This is right above "kiss o kill".

Raw power. I love this song to bits - I don't think the chorus sounds bland or monotonous at all, its so full of fuming power that just explodes at the end of the chorus, with the little twist she puts on it. Some of the guitar reminds me of Because of You, but while that song was more angry/heartbroken, 1LOVE is heavier..but at the same time, happier and more.."in your face". I can't quite explain it. So great.

When I listen to this song, I just wanna break stuff.
It's kinda like an anger management song imo. lol.

Now I haven't seen the PV yet, but I sure hope she'll do the pole dancing on stage, too :D.

Rock sounds! I see something ROCKISH coming along! Wow, with Ayu's voice, it's SEXY! I like how it slowly builds up and wow, I'm surprised by the english! "JUST ONE LOVE!"

The chorus is just pure <3. I'm glad the verse melody and chorus melody don't seem to lead into each other. It's disjunct yet perfect for the song! And all the more I like how there's this mini rockish transition between the verse and chorus!

Now it gets to the bridge, yeah yeah for the drums! It reminds me of some other Ayu song but I can't seem to remember what song. SHUCKS, it's not an Ayu song, it's Koda Kumi's NINGYOHIME! Bah, whatever. This song totally owns NINGYOHIME!

Oh my, I need to smash something. It's so energizing! Superb rock song!

I agree how it reminds me of Ningyohime but I hated Ningyohime. This song is just GREAT. 1 LOVE!!!!!!

She's come a long way with her dark guitar-heavy rock songs.

While the first three are more melodic stuff, I think the latter is just a lot more closer to rock&roll than melodic pop-rock, you know? She evolves more and more with her rock music each album, and she's finally at the point that I knew would eventually come.

It'll be great live too, I know it. With 1 LOVE, she can stay in the rough voice mode comfortably throughout the whole song. I love this one.

from the CM to now, a lot has changed...

CM: (wadda hell! a monotone song?)I couldnt understand why people loved it..BUT it became crazily addictive..

Now: The starting sounded funky and i thot it was gonna sound quite poppy in the verse..but no! the verse is also funky and awesome..i love the way the melody descended from the higher note to lower note...

Hate this song. Very brash and screechy, monotonous on the chorus, overall grating and obnoxious. Too bad, too, since the PV looks like it'll be good stuff.

I can see what you mean, it's definitely the other side of the fence, viewpoint wise. I see this kind of music a bit as a love-or-hate kind, because of the power in it it's hard to take some kind of middle position.

Maybe it'll bring a new dimension to the song :).

I'm still in love with it, but it can get tiring if you listen to it too many times. Something which does not apply to many of the other tracks on the album, at equal an amount of plays.

GREAT song, so catchy, the beginning of the song isn't as good as I thought it would be though, it's not quite as big as I thought it would be... but it's still one of my fave tracks, totally great!

I did get a ningyo-hime vibe from the preview, but after hearing the full version, it's two completely different songs...one of which sounds WAY better.

I never thought Ningyo Hime until it was brought up in this thread. Strangely enough I did think "Humming 7/4". I really don't know why... it isn't too similar. Perhaps just the structure of the song, the vocal style?

I liked 1 LOVE, minus the silly JUST ONE LOVE English. I love her rock songs, but unfortunately I don't think it's her strongest! Unfortunately it may have been a bit spoiled for me because Rina Aiuchi did a song stylistically similar to this called V.I.P. http://download.yousendit.com/478E907710899CA1 (hard rock song) and then there is Kumi's "Ningyohime" (which I don't think SOUNDS the same, but again, the style is the same). So unfortunately I got the "it's been done before" feeling :( You know what though, the beginning of 1 LOVE reminded me of hitomi's songs! Still~ I do love the guitar solo in this.

I don't think it sound like Ningyo Hime. Sure, there's the beginning heavy guitars, but that's quite common in heavier rock songs and it's more the overall feel to it. I mean, I can name few Gackt and Jrock songs that sounds similar to 1LOVE as well.

Well, the thing was this time when listening I heard parts that ALMOST made me like it until something else completely ruined it.

Although it'd be nice if it could grow on me, because this is her worst song since girlish (I mean... there are worse songs than girlish - this being one of them - just they came before Duty. Well, okay, Because of You kind of sucked too).

I think its terrible! It's not nearly as heavy as I thought it would be. It's so bland. Bleeeh.

I love 1LOVE (no pun intended). The chorus' melody has an addictive tempo that I find really catchy. I thought the preview sounded great enough, but the full version is a hundred times better.

hmm i'm really mixed about this song, i like it but i think its only because its cuz its an ayu song, i'm not a big fan of the chorus when she says "just one love". When i heard the previews i didn't think i was gonna love this song and its pretty much true, this song is just middle of the road for me. I just didn't like the flow of the song i thought it was too heavy and too in your face.

This is awfully odd.. Alot of the people that loved the preview aren't like the full song! I hated the preview SO MUCH, but I love the full song! xD

The first verse really reminds me of Ningyo-hime. Love the powerful vocals in the chorus and I even got rid of feeling annoyed by the monotony of the first part. :) The effects before the final choruses are quite fun as well, especially if you're trying to hum along and "Ayumi no sing". :D

yeah 'JUST ONE LOVE' is the only 'normal' english phrase that i hv hear from ayu .Things like 'wowan can be dangeras ..' and 'evreybody gal evreybody jum' just drive me crazy... (i quite like real me though)

What I always think about when I hear 1LOVE, is that, while it's not my favourite, and, in fact, it's really repeatative, It has such a distinctive sound, I love it, but I don't at the same time...hard to explain.

I love the first verse, and how she keeps it up after that. The chorus is just great too. What I love about all these choruses on Secret, especially in this song, until that Day..., and kiss o' kill, is that they add such an effect to the song, give it such an extremely distinctive feeling. They pull you deeper into the song.

I'm really happy that this song has a PV, it really deserves it. It has so many elements piled onto each other, and when you really think about it, and pull apart the music, it's so fun.

I just realized that, like until that Day..., this song also has a point where it just stops, and Ayu picks up her crazily worded chorus, I guess, maybe she really liked this style of doing things, I can't recall if she did it before, she probably had too, but I'm just noticing it in these two songs. funny.

I love these songs...the mood surroundind them is just unmistakable. It just rocks. It would be impossible to ever mix up this song with anything else. 1LOVE = <3.

Very true, you captured a lot of what makes those songs so special, their choruses. Very distinctive and made in different, and for Ayu, fresh ways.

It does remind me of Ningyohime, but very slightly during the first few opening guitar chords.

The preview we got from the Panasonic CMs didn't even come remotely close to doing this song justice. Her voice sounds sultry and sexy like I've never heard before. An excellent rock song...two thumbs way up!

Yeah it was quite reminding me of Ningyo Hime but it has a happier beats and rocking sound. My friends love 'em and the boys eventually after seeing the PV.

I always imagine something while hearing songs, now I imagine her AT 2007 performance singing 1 LOVE. I got a golden themed lighting and stage, she goes not in the pole maybe but more like a 'freak' circus parade. She's on the
swing and start doing tricks like a circus palyer while there are lions and tigers on stage with their trainers, fire breath men, elastic girls and etc.

When i heard the preview, i was like O_O i don't understand what is soo magical about it that made soo many people love it. How ever, when i heard the full song, i found that 1 LOVE isn't that bad a song after all :yes the vocal, the beat and the arrangement are just sooo mesmerising :D
