Also known as Kylie's little, not as well-known sister who has had quite a decent lot of success in the music markets she ventured to. Her blend of dance and electronic music with occasionally 80's elements is certainly refreshing and should be tried by any pop fans out there.

The Platinum Collection is a compilation album by Australian pop–dance singer Dannii Minogue. It was scheduled to be released on December 11, 2006 in the United Kingdom.

The album will feature several singles from previous studio albums Girl and Neon Nights - including some special mixes of those songs and more substantially it will contain six shelved songs from the London Records sessions including "Tut Tut (Does Your Mother Know)", "Undeniable", "Each Finger Has An Attitude" and "Blame It On The Music" (a collaboration with Roger Sanchez). The Platinum Collection came as a major surprise and delight to fans who faced disapointment over the seemingly endless delays that accompany every one of her singles and the fact that it will have been four years in March since Dannii has released an album of fully new material.

Minogue has halted release of this album for the time being because Warner does not own the rights to the tracks intended to be on the album, Minogue does. Minogue intends to use some of these tracks on her fifth studio album.

Any new found excitement and faith in Dannii generated by "The Platinum Collection" was quickly killed when news broke that she is actively trying to make sure the unreleased songs and other rarities will not see the light of the day, an attempt that seems unlikely as the album has already been pressed in it's thousands. Minogue is frustrated that she wasn't allowed the rights to this material for her new album with AATW and feels they are of much better quality than to be included in a mid-price album that isn't being endorced or approved of by it's artist.

This was how I discovered Dannii properly. I just went to the shop, saw the single, liked the title a lot. "This sounds pretty interesting, plus she's Holy Goddess Queen Kylie's sister" followed by paying a hefty 30 bucks (Malaysian of course). :luv2 I never forgot it.

I dont think it's perfect, but some of the tracks are pretty ace. It Won't Work Out is very beautiful. Many other tracks are good, but I feel that some of them blend right into each other because of the similar sounds used.

I saw it in Sanity when I was at Melbourne but at 27 Australian dollars (80 bucks here), I'd rather get something else that's more worth it. The cover is pure love though, it's terribly stylish and captivating.

You wont forget about me is my second fav Dannii Song. Well equal to the official remix of Put the needle on it.

I love Dannii!

My favourite song remains "All I Wanna Do" which reached number 4 in the UK singles chart in 1997. the video is enchanting and seductive! I also like Disrememberance and Everything I Wanted.

I am surprised she is releasing another greatest hits cd. she just released one in june!

He's The Greatest Dancer is currently floating around the net. The LMC radio edit, actually. And it sounds so camp, yet enjoyable. A guilty pleasure. I love it, it sounds urban, dancey, poppy and fun.

Dannii Minogue Confirmed To Judge Australia's Got Talent

Channel Seven today announced Dannii Minogue as a judge for its upcoming program Australia’s Got Talent, which will search for the hottest undiscovered talent in the country.

Australia’s Got Talent will be wide open to people young and not so young – dancers, ventriloquists, circus acts, yodellers, performance artists, acrobats, magicians and signers – the weird, the wacky, the wild and the wonderful.

Dannii Minogue has been working in the entertainment industry since she was seven, endearing herself to Australian’s on the family talent show Young Talent Time. With a solo career spanning 17 years and 20 Top 20 singles, Dannii has also performed the lead role in Notre-Dame De Paris in London’s West End and toured Australia in the phenomenally successful arena stage show Grease, starring as Rizzo to over 450,000 people.

Minogue last worked on Australian television in 1989 as a teenager on Home and Away and is looking forward to returning home.

Dannii said today: ‘I’m so excited to be returning home to work on a TV show I know is going to be loads of fun and full of surprises.

“I started my career on a talent show and had to go through the audition process that those on Australia’s Got Talent will have to go through too. I will be right there with those performing as I know the feeling well. This will be their moment, their big chance to shine. I can’t wait to be part of it all and look forward to being surprised by the unknown!”

Australia’s Got Talent is based on the format created by Simon Cowell. The US version was the number 1 new program in this year’s summer schedule.

The program will premiere on Channel 7 in early 2007. The program’s other two judges are yet be announced.

she 's re-releasing "Girl" and "Neon Nights" as 2cd editions, and a rarities album "Unleashed", and a digital only album "Club sounds" AND a DVD video collection in the next two months!

i am slightly disappointed that all these releases have new songs, meaning i have to buy all of them :(

I don't listen to a lot of her stuff but then again I haven't heard much of it. I discovered "Love Fight" on a blog site one day and I fell in love with it. Then I got my friend hooked on it and she talks about it nonstop.

I really like Come & Get It and It Won't Work Out off of Unleashed. The remixes are fantastic too, especially the one of Who Do You Love Now? I'm about to head off to bed so I'll have to check out Club Disco in the morning. I can't wait! :)

overall kinda unimpressive album to me. all the tracks I listed "good" but they are just that and nothing more, there's not a single really awesome track. still there's several of those "good" tracks I liked but I hoped for more since most of the remixes on the album are dull & to me it sounds like majority of the new songs were unreleased for a reason ...

Club Disco

the album starts strong, "Feel Like I do" is a great new song followed by two already familiar good club hits. there are a lot of pretty good new tracks, only problem is that most of them sound really alike. I don't really like "So Under Pressure" but I enjoyed the disco sound of "He's the Greatest Dancer". I liked the two lounge remixes that ended the album :yes

Definitely Dannii's second best album, but Neon Nights remains her best by far.

Girl is my favourite Dannii album.

I found the deluxe re-issue of Neon Nights online, it's the best Dannii album ever :yes

Original album was excellent enough on it's own, but the deluxe edition is just better. the new added tracks are all really good, they are actually the b-sides off the singles of Neon Nights. the singles are rare so they're new tracks to me. these new songs would have stood out on Club Disco / Unleashed as the best tracks.
the extra remix CD is also really good, I was surprised how good it tunred out to be. there's not a single bad remix there, but plenty of awesome ones. "Put The Needle On It (Jason Nevin's Freak Club Creation Mix)" is particularly good, probably the best remix by him I've ever heard. it's almost like Hard House/Dance with buzzing sounds and heavy thumping beats rather than the typical house mixes he usually does.

For The Record, I tried to find it at the stores here too but I think it's only getting a UK release. I would have really wanted to buy it :(

Dannii's latest single is doing alright, it's just not eligible chart in many singles charts (including australian ARIA charts) because the single has too many tracks.

unsurprisingly, the release of "The Early Years" is delayed, possibly by a few weeks.

and by the way, Central Station, the label that releases Dannii's music in Australia, has just closed down. So there goes the hope of having a physical release of "The Early Years" :(

Eventho I'm her fan, I have no interest in this release. most new stuff are just new edits of existing mixes, and not really new remixes it seems.
Besides I don't think Dannii's early music has aged well, Kylie's 80s songs just have more retro-appeal.

I heard we'll get to hear it by February, according to a few online forums, but I don't know how official that is.

there is still no news about the freemasons track, apart from the news in february that the track was being mixed at that time. at the moment it is not even known if it will be a single or not.
