ARGH okay, something to share...this is about an article taken from a Singapore newspaper, LIFE!

I...don't care about her. She can do whatever she likes, unbuttoning whatever, I'll probably never watch or hear that music video. In reference to Ayu though...Maybe to them Ayu shows too much skin? Who the hell knows...I mean, maybe your sig is raunchy (i hate that word) kodayumi :laugh I have no idea. |
It just seems like a general description of the two artists to me, nothing to really get excited about. Ayu can be sexy at times, so I see nothing wrong with it really. She doesn't always look cute and sweet.

Well, sex kitten used in the article like that in regard to Ayu seems to me to be a bit, uh, not offending exactly, but it was said as to mean that Kumi and Ayumi are awful singers and only get fame by wearing sexy clothes. That's what it looked like to me, at least. But I don't really care what they say about Ayumi or Kumi if it's not true (like the artist the article is about is supposedly any better!). Ok, Kumi has a bit of an obsession with "scandalous" clothes as of late, but Ayumi... no.

i'm sure some people probably do look at ayumi as a sex kitten. i mean, she isn't overtly sexual in her images, but i can see how someone would look at her as a sex kitten. i mean, look at her in my names women, 1LOVE, and other pvs. she's not skanky or whatnot, but she is portraying a more sexual image.

You must be prepare to see more of this articles that might point ayu as 'selling with body' in Singapore or even other countries. Did you notice ayu is wearing lesser and more sexier? There will be people who's gonna see her recent pvs or lives or concerts and thought ayu is selling her body. Before anyone start to bash my above comments, i MUST say i actually knew people who thought that way. Even after i shown them the old ayu's clips or lives or concerts, they will go, 'that's her past! She just change to become more seducing!' |

Is 'sex kitten' is a positive thing to say? Mostly. Accurate? Not really. Ayu can be sexy but 'sex kitten' implies that she exudes certain characteristics that I just don't see in her image. I don't want to go too into it, so I'll just say that even in near nudity or in more provocative clothing, Ayu is far too elegant and dignified to be labeled as so. It's like...two women can be wearing a bikini (but not one bikini at the same time, because that's just weird). However, depending on their attitude and presentation, one can come off as skanky and raunchy, while the other completely 'goddess-like'.

Sexiness is not just what you wear, it's also how you act, what you say, and etc.
As for having a mature, sexier image? I wouldn't want someone that's 28 to act like they're 18. It all depends on culture. |
