I thought she was always a little thin, but then I saw this on the Y! website that had promo pics for her album:

Nah, she looks good like that. Toned and thin. Beautiful. It looks as if she wore some thing bracelets or watches that made those creases.

Changing topics, we'd all benefit by losing a few pounds and exercising!

Ayu has always been too skinny IMO. Anyone who has thought that she was fat at any point of her career is pure insane.

her chubbier fans might want to look like her and if they get to know that Ayu had to train off all she gained, they might think they have to do that too. or even worse things. I was one of those people two years ago, so I know what I'm saying!

I mean, if you see Ayu in her Jewel performances where she had 5 kg more she looked as good as always! and when you then get to hear she had to get rid of it again, what do you reckon some girls get to think? They'll think: "Oh no, if Ayu with her good shape has to lose weight, what about me?!"
and if you're young, you can easily get ill by thinking of losing weight all the time.

That photo is disgusting. Super bad lighting. I believe Ayu is the kind that gains weight easily though - she was chubby in her early days. She probably hits the gym a lot to maintain her killer bod.

I think she's always had a healthy shape, not too chubby and not too skinny.

She's incredibly petite and is built like a young girl. And I think she looks great and always has. She's never been "fat." I don't think it's physically possible for her to be fat, unless she ate all the time. But she doesn't have time to eat that much. :) She might have had a little more weight when she was younger because she didn't work out like she does now.

But I was surprised to hear my husband's friends (all Japanese) saying that Ayu had gained lots of weight and wasn't as cute as she used to be. I wonder if that's how most people think... oh, those friends are non-fans.

My friends say the same about not being cute anymore, but did not talk about the weight.
Ayu uses too much make up, I guess they are right but she is not as young as before.(Of course, they all talk about plastic surgery too...)

well... I can see why people think that pic looks too skinny... it's not the face or wrists... but the chest bones... but seriously... I eat ALL the time and am only 90lbs... I am 5'2"... well almost that :) and my breast bone shows a little on the top... I hope that doesn't make me too skinny :(

I eat alot! But I do exercise and I do eat somewhat healthy... not because I am trying to... but because once you ween away from food that is unhealthy/greasy etc... it is hard to go back to eating that without maing you sick... your body has a way of telling you what you should be eating...

I think Ayu is a good size, nothing wrong with her. It's hard to say she's skinny just from looking at official photos, because often they're retouched, looking at videos of her TV performances etc. is more accurate for me.

Like everyone's said, she's not fat nor skinny. No, she's even better than that -- fit. She (obviously) works out a lot, therefore a fast metabolism keeps her an ideal weight.
