ayu_ready? 13th March 2007 08:42 PM

2 mil?
I'll be satisfied when it'll reach 4 as A BEST...
:P
cruel, huh? :P

elepop 13th March 2007 08:52 PM

I'm thinking... it's either worldwide sales or shipping.

minkAYuko 13th March 2007 09:00 PM

mmh I want to know too..

criminal 13th March 2007 09:08 PM

It's probably the shipped amounts. What else could it be? I don't think she has sold ~900k of -BLACK- and -WHITE- combined outside of Japan.

Dark_hated 13th March 2007 09:21 PM

why not?? she's really famous on Asia, it could be possible...

tomoko-stepyou 13th March 2007 09:24 PM

Today is definitely the day of fuzzy ayu news...

Impracticable 13th March 2007 09:54 PM

go ayu! u can do it!!! make history again!!!

..:Hot:Like:Wow:.. 14th March 2007 04:38 AM

hmm if it's asia wide, then thats believable since the biggest asian artists sell around 3 million asia wide.

devilayu 14th March 2007 04:43 AM

Typo in the paper? The article is referencing Oricon numbers, which only reflect sales in Japan.

AyuGAME 14th March 2007 04:45 AM

wow...i think its combine outside and inside japan...
yay 2 millions!!!

extepan 14th March 2007 05:49 AM

2 million is probably the shipping number not the sales number.

Vadise 14th March 2007 05:50 AM

o.0

hope it will be like A BEST^^

thx for the news^^

Rurutia 14th March 2007 05:58 AM

SpiceSquad! 14th March 2007 06:06 AM

norain 14th March 2007 06:10 AM

Two Million? Impossible.

Yep. Impossible.

IYFreak 14th March 2007 06:24 AM

is it good to have 2 million in shipping numbers?

Ayumiko 14th March 2007 07:46 AM

Its good for avex

summersnow 14th March 2007 07:56 AM

Thanks for the info. Yup perhaps it's about the shipping figures.

Eigakan 14th March 2007 08:33 AM

lies, all lies!

FeNgZhEnG 14th March 2007 08:37 AM

woo.. great news.. hope it will break A BEST 1 record..

haruki 14th March 2007 11:03 AM

so now what? shipping or actual sales? can anyone clearify this??

~ayu-cake~ 14th March 2007 11:29 AM

Bah, who the hell cares, hooray.

HiruNoKaze 14th March 2007 11:38 AM

yea all it says is "sales broke 2 mil" without any specification of what kinda sales

bluegie 14th March 2007 12:21 PM

probly physical + digital sales = 2 million...?
but that's quite unlikely..

alternarist 14th March 2007 01:26 PM

haha 2 mil copies shipped overseas doesnt mean that 2 mil copies sold!! sales hasnt even reach a million yet.. oh well.. :(

bluegie 14th March 2007 01:31 PM

it has... ~940K on the first week (both albums) then 190K this week.. so now it's about 1.13 million copies being sold :D

Do they sell 3 million in two weeks? :o

sakamoko 14th March 2007 05:53 PM

Uhm... is hard to belive but I know 3 fans of my city that bought both versions (B&W), and my city is a little island. If in every city of Europe and America 3 people buy both versions...

Maiku 15th March 2007 12:17 AM

then again oricon miss out on many online stores and not just stores and there the oversea fans in asian and some in other parts of the world, if i'm not wrong ayu still one of the most popular if not the most popular japanese singer in asia. i think around 870k sold outside japan is possible and stores that orico didnt count.

like bluegie said it has already sold 1.13 million counted by oricon. for both version

No way. Two or three artists sell over 1 million copies in the whole Asia territory (excluding Japan) and Ayu isn't one of them. I mean, she is really popular, but she's nowhere near as big and promoted as, say, Jay Chou or even Rain and not even them sell that much, so..

LacusClyne 15th March 2007 04:45 AM

so far what are the total sales numbers from ORICON?
if they mangae to sell a certain amount, then it is possible that the article is referring to the amount ahipped out and sales

Ayumiko 15th March 2007 05:18 AM

I know oricon dont count every cd stores in Japan...there is only a percentage of stores in Japan they count.

ayu_fan929 16th March 2007 03:20 AM

^They recover that 'loss' by giving each store a different weighting.

i.e. Let's say you bough 1 CD from Tower Records in Shibuya, that might translate to 5 CDs on Oricon to make up for the music stores not counted by Oricon.

I think it's a typo or it's the number of copies shipped.

pbs1605 16th March 2007 05:28 AM

Thanks for the news.
