I thought Ayumi said that she hated to act. :shrug Maybe she had a change of heart? Nonetheless, it's pretty hard to trust tabloids. I'm not going to believe this until avex officially confirms it.

I don't know... a part of me wants to see her act in a movie. But I also think that she should probably stick to singing (she wasn't all that great in glitter/fated, nor sinking moon).

oooo acting. i think she'll do good... if she still has that spark like in her Tsuki ni Shizumu short film. i thought she was FANTASTIC in acting in that film.

I like the movie "Like Grains of Sand" from 1995 where Ayu acted, I think she was great there :) But that was way back. Somehow it would be a bit strange see her in a movie nowadays.

I saw two movies with her, she did great. I hope she can still pull off the sensitivity and naturality like she did years ago, just got to dig it out.

What are you people saying?? ayu is a great actress!!! I saw in Like Grains of Sand and she should have won an award for that performance! She was so perfect. She can act so well, even when she just has to sit there in silence. She kinda pulls you into the mood

Actresses in Japan do have a higher chance of longevity than pop singers.
I just wish Ayu would stay in the entertainment business for a long long while! Maybe acting will give her that opportunity. Or she should switch to enka stat :P |

A action packed movie with Ayu kicking butt a la Startin' would be hot. One of her outfits can be the Panasonic commercial with "Real me" except she would kick those guards and dog with her 6" platform shoes :). |

Did someone actually see Ayu act? That movie like grains of sand showed a lot of potential of an actress in Ayu.
And the fact that she cries bad, because everyone has never seen her cry in the real world. HEAVEN, momentum and fated are great PVs because of the crying scene. |

I actually didn't think she was half bad in her early days as an actress, but she seemed to fit dark roles best.
Also, it's not true that this would be her big screen debut. Nagisa no Sindbad and Sumomomo were definitely a theatrical releases and Ladies probably was as well. |
about her age, in asia countries we count by the year. and since this article is EXACTLY THE SAME as the local paper, i'll say the age is right
for example, if you were born on Oct and will be turning 20 years old, the local people normally will say you'll 20 years old(even you had not yet turn 20) |

i like her acting... no she's not perfect but look at it this way- she never made a point to become a singer until she was discovered and now she's the biggest music artist in japan.
