Actually I read somewhere that (at least in the past) she didn't really like having long hair and wanted to cut it. It's a part of the image her stylist cooked up for her.

Besides, at this point Namie's hair has become a huge part of her character. It's almost like a whole separate Character all on its own really. I believe she would lose some appeal if she were to cut it off, not that she wouldn't be able to eventually regain back some if not all of the appeal she would probably lose.

I don't think she have extensions before, because you get to see her hair get longer and longer from 2004~2006 then the hair's end started to reach her butt during PLAY promotion era in 2007. Then she cut it shorter in WHAT A FEELING PV, afterward it continued to grow longer all through out the best fiction tour..
