Anyone here listen to Trance music?
Hey Forumers,
I just wanted to know how many of you all listen to trance music and if you do who your top artists and groups are? Here are my Top 3, and all are from the Netherlands (No one makes trance like the Dutch): 1. Armin Van Buuren 2. Ferry Corsten 3. DJ Tiësto Post up up your top 3 so we can compare. |
OMG, Anyone?
|
I do but I'm not sure on the trance artists. Probably...
1. Armin van Buuren 2. Overhead Champion 3. Cascada |

I'm really into cheesy trance, ha ha. But I also like that "spacey, send-chills-down-your-spine" type of trance that Armin does and so many others. I don't listen to it much but it is my favorite. Usually best to listen to at night and the songs are really long which I like sometimes but when I want to listen to happy songs during the daytime so it's usually that Hi-NRG trance.

GAL TRANCE. <3
i don't really like any particular artist. |
I listen to Trance all the time but I don't have a particular artist. If it sounds good and I am in the mood I will listen to it. I'm gonna check out some of those artists you said. I have heard of DJ Tiësto. I have a cd with him on it.

I used to be really into trance, stuff like Vincent De Moor, Above&Beoynd & P.U.S.H. I've never been much into Ferry's music myself. but these days I only like cheesy upbeat trance when it comes to trance. I'm more into house & other types of eletronic music a the moment rather than trance. the main reason my interest in trance is so vanished is that I've never heard anything that could top the Ayu, ELT or Globe trance remix albums :yes |

german trance/dance like Cascada & Groove Coverage & everything from the Avex label Super Best Trance: like Overhead Champion & 4skips & etc. and producers like Rob Mayth & Rocco
mostly like fast & really upbeat trance with catchy vocals is what I consider "cheesy trance" :P |

Well, Personally I prefer Dutch Trance, and the other thing is they produce their own stuff. :P Although some German stuff like Paul Van Dyk is quite good :) |

lols, I hated trance. but, I like some trance remixes, mostly sifow and Ayumi's. xDDD

Seems like no one here has ever heard of "Ace Da Brain" (aka Ace's Delight & Pervading Call), imho the best producer germany has to offer... Try to listen to his Songs like "Trinity (Aerial Mix) or something harder like "Depths of Doom". Ace is practically unknown, but he surely beats commercial dance artists like Paul Van Dyk easily (compared to Ace, PVD is nothing more than commercial radio music).
Another good group are "Alphazone", which makes fast-paced, hard and yet very melodic "Energy-Trance". Thus, there are of course no cheesy vocals. Simply bangin' stuff http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/mu...smiley-001.gif. Beside these two, I can't recall any artist, which would've been worth buying his records this year, so far, this was no good year for me yet... My third fave would've been "Kai Tracid", but he suddenly stopped producing good music and went on to produce "Minimal" (simply cheap sounding stuff without much melodies) from now on... :irked And to be put short, artists like "Cascada" and "Groove Coverage" and "Rocco" etc. are NO TRANCE!!! They're simply producing some La la la-crap to gain lots of money (which seems to work very well, though). |

OMG, I really do not like trance. It's one of my least-favorite genres/styles. That said, I sometimes like to listen to some trance remixes of my favorite JPop stars really loud. :D

Kasuma - Dreaming (this one's also something special, coz it progresses nearly all the time... gives me shivers everytime) Kosheen - Catch (Ferry Corsten Remix) Starsplash - Wonderful Days 2001 (Ratty Remix) Technikal pres. Pierre Pienaar - Global Panic Riot 303 vs. Observer - Alive & Kickin' (Vengeance Remix) Nu-Nrg - Dreamland (Rank 1 Re-Edit) 4 Strings - Turn It Around (Manyou Remix) <-- Strangely the producers of Cascada, but believe me, this mix doesn't sound even far like them... this one's real good and fast paced trance :thumbsup. Svenson & Gielen - Falling Star & Fujirama (my fave tracks from them) Well, that's what I'd call great trance ;). I miss those days... :( |
Absolutely LOVE Trance music. Especially DJ Tiesto and Svenson & Gielen
|
I love trance but I don't really know any tunes or djs. Only one and its My all time favorite:
Halycon On and On by Orbital It took me forever to find it because I didn't know the name or the DJ but finally, finally I did. |

Right on! I absolutely LOVE Fujirama! Probably one of my top 5 favorite Trance songs by Svenson & Gielen. |

I never got into the artists who remixed the Ayu Trance Series. It just never appealed to me. The genres I like most are Hands Up (If you consider it trance... I guess you would). Which includes artists like CASCADA, Rob Mayth, Rocco vs. Bass-T, Alex M. vs. Marc Van Damme, Megara vs. DJ Lee, Manian, and a whole crapload of others. I'm still sorta getting into Jumpstyle, which is similar to hands up. I'd explain the difference, but you'd have to be able to count music to understand what I'm saying. Like, the synth line almost always follows the rhythm 1 a 2 + 3 + 4 +. Artists include DJ Lanai, Scotty vs. Full Gainer, and well, that's all I know I've just recently been introduced to Japanese trance. So I haven't really developed a preference of artists, but I know they include Delaction, DJ Kaya, N.O.-SYO, and a couple others... So, my top 3... Thats really hard... AAAUGH!!!! There's too many!!! 1. TBA 2. TBA 3. TBA I'll edit it as I figure out what my top 3 are. Side note: F the idiot who said CASCADA doesn't make real music. |
1. Aphex Twin
2. Benny Bennasy 3. MEG |
I like Cascada (aka Natalie Horler) if that counts??
I also like DJ Encore, if that also counts!! |
I love trance music!!^^ And I also produce trance musics.:)
|
nope i don't... i dont even listen to ayu's trance albums~
|
have you ever listened to Dream-trance music??
I adore the album DREAMLAND by Robert Miles (Roberto Milani..it's a guy born in my own city, and I didn't know that since my hausband who owned some discos years ago told me about him!!)..it's super!! Just for the oldest (in age) members here in the forum: do you remember "children"?? I adored it, loved it and still :yes Jackieros wrote Benny Benassi...i like his music too,but undecided to rank his music..it sounds house to me |
I love trance. But, I don't the difference much and also don't know who make it. Just hear it.
