I believe Subaru went into depression during the last couple of years of his "Johnny's Junior" days. He got a tattoo (which is a taboo) on his wrist of a skull (i think he got it removed now) and he starred in a controversial j-drama (or j-movie, i forget. XD) called "Platonic Sex". it was a very un-Johnny like role, so to say.
however, Johnny's Jimusho didn't fire him. I believe it was because Johnny-san really believed in Subaru and thought he was really talented. I've read that K8 is his favorite group right now (like, he was with Uchi when he made a guest appearance during their "47" tour.) Mary Kitagawa & Julie (Mary's daughter) run JE now. so, i think all of the recent decisions to not let Kusano / Uchi back into their respected groups was on their actions, not Johnny. |

I've never really listened to K8, I've only heard a couple songs on like imeem and stuff. So what're you guy's top K8 songs? When I first heard of their enka style, I was a little scared to listen. But it seems like a lot of people like them. And Ryo's in it. :luv2 |

At first, I didn't like K8 at all. Found their songs were weird and sounded
funny. Didn't really like their enka style. The first song I heard from them was their debut song, Naniwa Iroha Bushi. I saw the PV and couldn't stand it. Until I watched Dreamboys 2006 where they performed some of the songs, I started to like their songs, especially Osaka Rainy Blues, Oh! Enka, Sukiyanen Osaka. Then I started to follow up their releases from Kanfuu Fighting. So my fav K8 song is Osaka Rainy Blues. It's the song which brought me into K8! =) Ohh.. I also didn't know Johnny-san and his family are half-American. |
My favorite K8 is definitely 'Zukkoke Otokomichi.' K8 never fail to put a smile on my face.

i usually love K8's stuff after watching the PV. XD they're so funny. i thought "it's my soul" was okay, then i loved it after seeing the PV. i finally ordered "KJ2 Zukkoke Daidassou" (i had a YesAsia coupon :D). i can't wait for it to arrive!

Okay. I just finished the JE Countdown (MY FIRST AND THE CUTEST!) and I've decided to really try Kanjani 8. I really enjoyed that song they sang, I believe it was their debut when Yuu said something at the end of it. I'm not sure what though. But yesh, these boys are hyper and cute! lol

Has anyone else seen the Daidaya clip of Ryo's date with Haruna (the comedianne)? It was recently subbed by NewsHFan, so everyone can understand it. Though I've never seen any of the Kanjani8 shows, my curiosity got the better of me and I watched it.
