The CD's OBI
Everytime I see CD scans, the little OBI thing is always included. Is it important or something? I always throw mine away...
Well I can't whether say they're "important" or not, but some people like to collect 'em and others throw them out :shrug
i keep my OBIs in the cd case
I still need three from Cds I bought without (Namies Concentration 20 & ayus evoluion+vogue)...anybody?
tough i think CDs look cooler and more japanesy with it^^ |
I love the obis. Even the ones that come with some of DVDs. Basically I keep my obis cause they look cool, and it would be benefitial to have if I ever decide to sell them. :yes
I think it increases value if you wanna resell them again. Its like a collectors thing. I always keep it, it's nice for display too.
Hehe, I collect my obi's and I don't know why.
i keep my obis
i keep my obis too. there's the little information at the bacl, the release date and so....obis are a way to tell which they are japan version or not, coz if you were to resell those, japan version are of higher value then other versions
I keep mine OBIs.
There was once my mum threw away the SECRET OBI, I hated her for 1 day. lol. |
Last time when I just started collecting, I had no idea what it was and threw them away. *sigh* But now, I keep them. Any idea waht's the full name of OBI?
i don't think its that important too, but if the original cd doesn't have an OBI, it will be not perfect..so yeah its so-so i think
I keep my obis in the CD case...before that I throw them away....I started it like a year ago...think it's cute and neat

.................................................s he thought it was trash omg. |
i keep them
Ummm....what are OBI strips? I don't know how they look! Can someone show me a pic of how it looks plz?
^did you ever bought a japanese Cd? Its the little paper strip on the side
I keep mine.
I have (or had...don't know where they went) a sticky plastic thing that attaches to the case and then you insert the obi, so it stays on the outside. Not really explaining that well. I stopped using them because they only work on standard size obi's...not ones with large backs, or double disc CDs like the CD+DVD sets now. They're kinda old. =\ |
I use to throw them away but now I keep them.
I keep all of my CD & DVD OBIs because they look cool and valuable to the CD or DVD....!
I think I'll start keeping the OBI, starting with GUILTY and Kingdom! ^.^
^ You better. It makes your stuff look neater in a shelf that way too. ^^
Now back to my question Quote:

Anyways, this is probably the fifteenth thread about obis. I can't tell you how many there have been, but I don't really care. I used to throw them away because I just thought they were trash but now I regret doing that because they're kind of part of the display. I now put them inside the CD booklet's sleeve. I especially won't even buy a (used) Ayu single without the obi because with those there usually isn't any side insert showing the title anyways so I use the obi in its place. |
^ Oh okay. I always thought it was to be said as Oh Bee Ai

It just wraps round the edge of the CD case, with extra Info on it that they wouldn't put on normal CD artwork (New Summer single, New album out soon and stuff like that) |
Ooooo...okay! I see! I see! Thankies Wes! LOL @ you as you showed a pic of Sifow's OBI strip! XD
I always keep my OBI's on their cases!
ayus singles are bad without obi...you cant tell from the side which one it is XD

OH I FORGOT! On the Obi, if the title of the single or album is in English, they write it in Katakana so People know what it is. |
