Namie Amuro- Already a great dancer+singer in her teens!
Namie Amuro (15) Debut :
Mr U.S.A (1992/09/16) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIuQEeXOWbg DANCING JUNK (1993/05/26) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qV-NRxpPaM8 AiShite Masukatto (1993/11/05) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sl33If07MdY Paradise Train (1994/07/20) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wslAVLKJUwg TRY ME~私を信じて~ (1995/01/25) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRn0HQWxQlA 太陽のSEASON (1995/04/26) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOQKd_s6Ucs |
I loveeeee Namie Amuro with SUPER MONKEY'S. Their music was so fun.
She's look great though, lol. The other members must have felt like sh-t though that the group's name became Namie Amuro with SUPER MONKEY'S. XD |
the name "Super Monkey" always reminds me of that rumor where Ayu is the evil queen-bee at Avex & supposedly calls Namie "the monkey" :o
anyways, I only like namies music from Style & onwards. I prefer MAX to Namie's oldies. |
Well, it was obvious that Namie began to gain more popularity than the rest, though, they sure had their shot in the limelight with MAX.
Anyway, I wouldn't say she was a great singer back then, but dancer, yes. I really love TRY ME ~Watashi wo Shinjite~. I've seen another performance of it, maybe it's from MSta, she's wearing a long leather coat there. EDIT: It's this one. The stage kind of reminds me of MSta, but I'm not that sure. |
^ yeah i wouldn't say she was a very good dancer. but she could dance. she had so much energy back then. Well, she did study dancing at her school.
|
Maybe dance is her talent since she was so young..
|
|
I'm happy she smiled back then. :3
|
You can tell her voice really matured from 1992 to 1994.

Dancer: yeah Singer: uh uh :no |
Namie was so cute. Though the only Super Monkey's stuff I liked was Mr. USA and Stop the Music.

tell me who can sing without going off-key or any problems while dancing at the same time...even when she only debuted with not much experience?! those artists nowadays can't even sing well standing still and not moving :eviltongu :eviltongu ... and u say namie can't sing back then! |
I wouldn't say Namie's singing was horrible back then. A little untrained, but still decent.

These references are not for her current career though, because she's changed and matured A LOT on the singing part. |
I don't think she was a super great singer back then, but she wasn't horrible. She was a bit nasally. But to think about it, she still is a bit. I definitely prefer her performances back then. She had more energy than she does now. Her voice also has more energy. Now, her vocals aren't really extraordinary.

She said in an interview that back then she PURPOSELY broke her voice so she would sound thick/mature/sexy and she never gave it time to heal so she could sing high notes again until the Suite Chic era. lol
|
Yeah Namie's voice wasn't so good a long time ago. But she can definitely dance.
|
OMG>..
i LOVE namie... thanks UHplus... she the 2nd artist most i like |
Namie is wonderful -;D
The J-HipHop princess! |
she was so energetic
what happened to all that energy? she was so engaging in those days. when did she reach the point where she figured she didnt have anything else to prove and could just half-ass all the moves and be boring as a log? i cant stand her for some reason. theres really something wrong with her. and her eyebrows are almost as terrifying as the costumes in those videos. although, i do like that stuff better than her solo stuff. yeesh *shivers* |
she isn't boring! :( haha So Crazy Tour was awesome! she had so much energy! SoHP was also really good..but Live style was a bit boring i have to say..lets hope PLAY tour will blow all of us away!
|
^sorry, i just find her boring and uninteresting.
i bet we could replace her with a walking stick bug and few people would notice. |

Looking at Janet Jackson videos and then her videos you can see the dancing influence a lot... |
