When is the single and album gonna be released? Ever since Keep Tryin' I've been disappointed with Utada's music :( sigh. is Stay Gold any good? I find that her singing has changed and I don't like it much XD

The album is going to be released sometime in Spring, we haven't got an exact date yet. Heart Station/Stay Gold will be released on the 20th of February.

I'm hoping march. Can you say: B-day present?

Knowing Hikki's release pattern it probably won't be till really late Spring. :(

I hope it does release in March, because we'll get it earlier and you two can get it as a present. Even though as I posted above I doubt it will be.

Oh, man! I totally didn't know that there was going to be another English album!! I'm so out of the Hikki loop!! >_< But I REALLY didn't like Exodus, so...:/ Definitely downloading this one first before buying it. But Stay Gold was really pretty, so I'm really excited for that. :D

Think she's gonna be on MTV (America) again with this new album coming out, or do you think because it was such a flop last time they won't bother?

I'd laugh if we had to wait another year for the album or something. :P

Hikki's new album is set for a release date of 3/19/08 :p

it's funny cause the album is actually gonna be released on march 19th!!!!!!
at least that's what tower records says, and they're pretty reliable

most songs were pretty good, but there were a few bad ones. also i think that it was so radically different, as well as horrid promotions, therefore resulting in bad sales, which people conclude the album to be bad (my theory, not 100% correct)

I really hated that song with the sentence "What a day! The boy next door just passed away!"

Like, the beats might have been catch, but the lyrics were so... odd o_O It was like listening to a pure engrish album. And that was kind of suprising, I mean her raised in NY and all...

I really hope this one will be better cause I like her alot, and I really tried to like Exodus, :paperbag but I couldnt do it :raincloud

Kidding. Personally, every song on Exodus was written very very well. It was completely thoughtful and a wowzer to me. Though too many different genres.

Lets hope she strikes a deal with MTV.

I just find out from guilty me when we were Iming each other on MSN! I soooooo hope it's true. I hope HS/SG will sell well since the album is a month a way from that release. Hikki usely sells well when she release a single a month before an album release.

As for EXODUS's style, it was definetly different. But hikki said that it was her way of practically revealing her true self. She said she wouldn't go back to that style for the next English album, becuase she allready got to do what she wanted to with EXODUS.

i liked exodus, kremlin dusk, hotel lobby, and animato especially. the only one i really hated was the workout *shudders* the others are ok too

I think she said she'll be doing a "less of the UTADA flavor" and give more of the japanese side. So that'll be good.

I'm pretty sure after she finishes promoting the next japanese album, we'll see a new english in 2009. Then WE MUST PROMOTE LIKE MAD TO GET HER TO WIN!

^ Which is why I don't listen to English music anymore. Hikki is much better than any artist around here.

Hmmm... okay so, I think I'll wait until I've heard the album before I decide to buy it. The weird thing is, I only like a handful of her songs, but I consider myself a huge fan. Strange. I mean, I only liked "BW/K&C" and "Stay Gold" out of the most recent singles. "Flavor of Life" is good, but I got sick of it as soon as it got all this attention, and "Boku wa Kuma" is just plain boring. I liked the "Ultra Blue" singles way more, but they were the stand out tracks on "Ultra Blue" so I don't know... Decisions, decisions...

I'm excited for the new album! But I've got to save up some money for it.

I hope Hikki has a few odes to her debut, some R&B tracks to bring back the memories. It is her 10th anniversary, remember? That reminds me, do you think we'll have another BEST? It seems like the right time. The first was at her 5 anniversary, so why not now around December time? Problem is she doesn't really have alot of singles since then so it'd only be 9 tracks long, unless she includes the Utada releases too, which she wouldn't.

it has something to do with radio, hence the "station". but other than that, it's just a mid-tempo song about love. i dunno. :P not much info came out on it.

that'd be awesome, but as you said there isn't really much to put on it, content wise.

It'd be awesome if there could be some kind of special preformance/concert or even a video that showed a day in hte life of Hikki or something. Maybe a complete clips.

Well, unlike Ayumi, Kumiko, and BoA, Hikki does not have big collection of singles. :cry Utada Hikaru Single Collection had all of her singles on there and since then....she's only released like 5 singles. I'm thinking her next Best album won't be released until 2009...maybe 2010! :weep
