NEW INFOMATION:
Technopop singer Aira Mitsuki announced via her blog that her long-awaited second single is to be released on March 5th, 2008. "China Discotica" will be her "major debut" single from D-topia Entertainment, a new subsidiary of D-topia. Currently Mitsuki's the only artist on the label, a business partnership between Victor Entertainment and avex group holdings.

From her official blog, January 8th, 2008:
On March 5th, it was decided that Aira Mitsuki from D-topia Entertainment will make her major debut release entitled 'China Discotica'! (*≧ω≦)人(＞ω＜☆)

Therefore, as an offer of thanks to China, and because of this year's Olympics (the festival of dreamgiving), the release has become a 'respect song' for the Beijing Olympics.

This song wasn't recorded only in Japan, it was also recorded in Beijing.

There was a bit of Chinese put into the song, so it has a China feel to it?? ヾ(・∀・)ツ

As for the sound, I think it's like the previous song's feel of discopunk and electro clash, everyone look forward to it. (*´∀｀*)

Oh man, I know I am! Mitsuki also put in some Mandarin in that blog post, so I wonder if she might start learning it after this (^^) Anyway, more details to come as we get them!

COPY's normal version comes with 4 bonus tracks but I don't know what's the limited's gift. A DVD maybe?

Recent fan of Aira here thanks to marcelosama.

She seems like it's going to be a hit with here first album, eventhough she seems underground (for what I can tell) the album looks amazing and the singles are really nice, I hope she does well.

I wish Nakata would actually start producing her music, since her sound is so blatantly "inspired" by him.

regardless of that, she still makes yay music, and I'm looking forward to the album <3

I just grabbed her singles last night and I am in love :luv2 China Discotica is one of the best singles to come out this year.

no, aira mitsuki thread! don't disappear into the obscurity that is the second page of Artists & Bands! you deserve to be up front because the song samples on Aira's myspace sort of kick butt.

i've liked if not loved all her singles so far, though i always regarded her as a Perfume rip-off of sorts. but after hearing all the song samples, i can definitely appreciate that she has her own brand of electropop going - it's rougher and less polished than Perfume and Yasutaka's other stuff. It's kind of chaotic and messy but i like it :)

can't wait till the album!

^I used to think the same, till I listen to her discrography again I think she might just turn into the next best thing from the electro pop world imo (and the opinion of some followers) and actually I used to think it was the same music as perfume's but it isn't, aira is going for that full techno sound and look, going totally opposite from perfume and it is more obvious in the visual visual department.

nope, you are not wrong, it states 10 tracks for 1,000 yen. looking at everywhere the single is listed, there is no info on the other nine tracks, but for that cheap I would guess they will all be remixes of ROBOT HONEY. I love the title :)

aira news, looks like it mentions her album release in japan, china, south korea on the 3rd. It also mentions she is in negotiations to release her music in France/Europe.
