Ayu's back in Top20? How wonderful. I like that. GUILTY will be on the charts for a long time, I bet. I hope it would be there longer than Secret was. I wonder what Ayu's position will be in the yearly chart, that would be perfect if it was better than Secret (which was #22). And those sales are great, no complaints from here. :3

The way the sales are going so far, I'm almost willing to bet that GUILTY will be one of those albums that will linger on the charts and keep selling little by little. It might not be in the top 20 all the time, but I bet it will sell more than "Secret" by the time the year's over.

You know the charting is not as bad as I thought it would be, but in the 4th week it does seem like she started to slip quite a bit. Ayu loses sales fast :no

^ Not really. Even Secret didn't fall out of the Top 20 that quickly. Secret stayed in the Top 20 Daily for over 7 weeks. GUILTY fell out (albeit, is now back in) in only the 4th week.

I'm going to tell it like it is and say that I don't think it's charting "well". It's not charting poorly, but it's not charting well, especially for Ayu's standards. I'm glad that it passed 500k (and like I predicted earlier, will probably end up passing 600k by the end of the year, albeit not 650k), but it's not charting with flying colors.

Well, the charting could be a side-effect of having a ton of new albums each week as well as the longlasting scary ones like EXILE and Kobukuro and bank band..

OMG! Ayumi's out of the top 20....already?! :grumpy Blast Kobukuro! They needed to stop selling....like crazy! :weep It's not fair that our Ayumi isn't selling like that anymore. I though this album was okay....so it was suppose to chart really well...which I don't think it did! I guess we can say goodbye to her charting in the top 10 on the yearly charts this year. :o

woah, exile's has sold over 1 million?! they arent even good, i think the main singers voice is *awful* >_< the only song i enjoy by them is choo choo train, haha! but ayu's still doing well. she's not at her peak anymore, so we cant expect AMAZING sales :P exile and kobukuro are both probably at their peaks right now, which explains the high sales.

Aren't sales always could be better? It's not like there's a maximum... but those sales aren't low, 530,000 is not a low number and it will most likely arrive 550,000 next week.
The sales drop from Secret to GUILTY aren't really low, it's still 150,000 range, which means ayu's popularity didn't decrease much.

Maybe she should start pulling some publicity stunts. Take a few hints from Ms. Britney Spears.

ayu is making music, she has enough money I don't think she cares that much as long as people listen and half a million is a pretty big number.

kobukuro is a popular boy band, they're not comparable to ayu.

Kobukuro is starting to annoy me when their sales and charting performance. It's so unfair. lol They already passed exile. *sigh* I guess they have a guaranteed #1 spot on the yearly chart this year....(>_>) ALL SINGLES BEST might be the #2 album of the too.

^ALL SINGLES BEST is still in the top ten....and it's been just about 2 years since that album was released. Hikki hasn't charted like that since First Love/Single Collection and Koda...well I don't how well she charts but still, their albums looks like no match for the Kobupower. :weep

agree wth venus..i doubt they will [ not doubting their ability of course ]. It's just that kobukuro really has some magical powers; their All Single Best charted for years and still manage to sell so well now..and 5269 still have a sales indicator of 12k even after many weeks. Sometimes i really wonder why kobukuro is so popular.

Ooh, GUILTY's back in Top 20. Awesome. Good for it. <3 GUILTY's not selling bad at all, I think. It's really good actually. At least I like that a lot. Go, Ayu go! <3

And I think Koda can take the top spot from Kobukuro easily, because she is really popular at the moment. And I think Utada's popularity has increased a bit, because she has sold better with singles last year than Ayu and Koda Kumi. Or that's what I think. And yeah, I'm a fan of Utada, Ayu and Koda Kumi. I don't really care who will have the top spot, I just want their albums.

Tomorrow Koda will release Kingdom btw. :3 Let's see how she can do, muhaha. :D

She has no real competition of course Kingdom will be #1 =P lol

Ummm no. If kumi's album was the only one released tomorrow I doubt GUILTY would be out of top 20, but it's not all about kumi and there will be more new albums released.

Yeah, the gimmicks for that thing were insane.

I'd like to see Ayu try something like that for her next album, though --- it's all designed to encourage physical sales instead of digital so the album can get a higher debut.

Well Ayu has more high budget PVs, while Kumi's are rather poor, at least Kingdom ones, but that was expected.And I think that we have to accept that Ayu isn't in her prime anymore, and that whatever she does might not be enough to get back to selling a million.I guess it's not that there is less people liking her, but just that she isn't a trend and that people prefer downloading her music. Plus Kingdom is mostly an album made of pure flops, and it will still sell good, cuz she has the attention, and 2 DVDs, as if the quality was always the best selling Shimatani (and a few others) would be near if not in the very top.

I know we should'nt be making a big fuss out of it BUT im really impressed with koda's first day's sales index!!

My eyes were wide open upon seeing this huge figure. lol

I liked a handful of them though..and i only dislike koda's new ballads in this album.

koda's first day sales is alot...(congrats to her) but I'm not surprised. Kingdom is the most deluxe package I've ever seen for a album...so if it doesn't do well, I'll be surprised. I wonder if it will sell more than black cherry at the end.

album "fillers", songs that compared to the tracks that were released as singles don't stick out & don't seem good enough.Almost every Ku album had at least 3-4, besides 2nd Session of course.

Well though I hate the overly cute songs (they're not really famous among us foreighners) but her japanese fan girls die about her cute songs and Kingdom has 4!! But yeah most people here (I think) agree that the new songs aren't that amazing, they are just good enough to be better than previous Black Cherry's songs.

i actually, really, only like a few of the kingdom tracks. more, last angel, and koi no mashou (or somethin like that?) those are the only ones i like :-\ but i dont really care haha. its not surprising, not quite sure why people are surprised. we all know kuu is more popular currently, and it had a bajillion things more than guilty did. a pv for every song, a big poster, a concert--thats a lot better than just a photobook :P

yea..and well I only liked LAST ANGEL, BUT and aisho, and I loved girls but she decided not to include it :no
and XD we should really move back to Ayu ^^
