ayu song for wedding ceremony!?
 

My big brother gonna marriage next year, on January 2009 precisely.
Although he's not so much an ayu fan, he asked me if there is ayu songs that can be use as one of his wedding songs?
His favourite ayu songs are SEASONS and Who...


So, any advice guys?


PS: one of his wedding songs would be "A Moment Like This" by Kelly Clarkson.

Well, if they don't understand it, it'd be as random as possible. But, I think really sweet songs would work...

Dearest, Heaven, End Roll...etc.

Dearest would be my top choice for a wedding song. :)

"Voyage" - I think it even was in a Wedding Song Ranking. "Close to you" is a nice choice, too. And "CAROLS", of course. I wouldn't take a song that deals about parting though.

hoho i sang Dearest and Carols for my sister's wedding 3 years ago..
and i also ever did HEAVEN also No Way To Say at my cousins' weddings..
and for my brother's wedding at the end of the year 2008, i'll sing "Together When..."

songs like TO BE, YOU, love ~ destiny~ are also suitable for wedding..

HEAVEN, Close to you, Dearest, JEWEL, Voyage, Carols, End roll... they are nice songs!!

I wouldn't choose "End roll" though, because it's about a break-up... And though the lyrics of "HEAVEN" are truely beautiful and moving, it doesn't really fit the occasion, in my opinion. But it's your choice.

By the way, "part of Me" would make be a good choice.

Hm, for a wedding I wouldn't use a song which theme is about your loved one dying like dearest and heaven =/ a sweet ballad would be nice, but one with happier lyrics, I would say. Close to you, maybe?

That's true, Voyage would be good lyrics wise, but the whole feeling of "teddy bear", is, i think, absolutely perfect.

NO thank you, no other japanese artist's songs, the only japanese artist's songs that "allowed" at my brother's wedding is ayu's.

hmm while teddy bear might have the feel of a wedding from the music, the lyrics are actually pretty sad, I think its about her father leaving her and leaving behind a teddy bear so it might not be too suitable for a wedding..its not like you want your wife/husband to leave you T___T well that my two cents:lech hehe

and i really think Key ～eternal tie ver.～ is very suitable, cause it was made for a wedding, the lyrics are suitable as well, either that or Close to you and JEWEL cause they all have soft sweet music and the lyrics are very suitable.

Why are so many people suggesting "HEAVEN"? That doesn't seem like a song that would fit such a happy time in someone's life... "teddy bear" either (0_o)

I definitely think "JEWEL", "Key ~eternal tie ver.~" and "Who..." would be perfect for a wedding.

Other than that...I don't think Ayu has a lot of songs to fit such an occasion...

Close to you, LOVE ~Destiny~ (<3), JEWEL, YOU "northern breeze" (or the upcoming 10th Anniversary remix if the wedding is after its release date), Key ~eternal tie ver.~ or SEASONS. I wouldn't pick a sad song. I'd want either Close to you or JEWEL on my wedding, probably going with the first. Though if you both really love SEASONS or whatever, go for that one! ^_^ But Close to you is really sweet, especially the bridge with all the voices.

And my personal recommendation/opinion: HONEY! If you're using the original mix from MY STORY, then your brother can be like all cutesy with your sis-in-law... or if you're using the orchestra mix from MY STORY Classical, it'll be suitable for the wedding theme I guess.. lol

I heard that was actually a song about her mom. Ayu doesn't really have any fond, detailed memories of her dad last I checked. You might be right, but it just doesn't make sense to me.

^ I always got the impression it was about her dad, I know she got raised by her grandmother and such, but last I heard shes still in much in contact with her mum. And we know her dad did leave her, so I thought that was probably the one of the last memories she had of him =\ omg i am getting so confused..

^^it's about her dad.............or her mum..???....well, it might be about both of them (parent), only ayu knows the truth, LOL!!

The first song which comes up to my mind is 'M'. Well maybe not the Orginial Mix, maybe the one from 'ayu-mi-x IV +selection Acoustic Orchestra Version'.
But 'Dearest' is a really good choice.

I think that dearest,heaven seasons_Acoustic Orchestra Version_ would be good.

What's funny is that Close to you has pretty much the same lyrics as Together When..., only Cty is obviously speaking in the present tense / happier and TW... is looking back on what was lost.

Cty, however, is still a really good choice. :D I highly suggest 'Dearest,' too, but since you said his heart was set on Cty then I guess all I can say is I hope you guys have fun at the wedding!
