Description
ZARD commemorative complete singles collection includes all 44 of ZARD's previously released singles on 44 CDs. Though 2002 saw a very limited release of a ZARD single box set available only at fan club-only concerts, this release only included the 33 singles released up until that point. This time the box includes all releases including those made since then, plus bonus DVD with select footage from the ZARD memorial concert September 14, 2007 at the Nihon Budokan and music videos (full running time: roughly 8 minutes). Each item features a double cardboard sleeve case (using original jacket photos), with set bound in a deluxe, hard case.

Would people buy this? I mean, wouldn't her crazy fans who are willing to pay $300+ to have her stuff already have all her singles? (or am I wrong?)

I agree. I think it's disgusting that they're releasing all these commemorative albums and single sets after her death. It really shows how record labels couldn't give two craps about their artists as people. I will not contribute in any way to this disgusting, greedy example of ruthless commercialism.

Wow, that's...really, really expensive. o____o That is a lot of CD's, though...but it seems like A HELLA LOT just for a box set. I can understand what they're doing, but it seems a bit wrong. :-/

like...atm its MAINLY Ayu
but every now and then i get hikki cd's as she gets new releases once in 50 years so i can catch up to get her whole discography quite quickly even if she's still making songs
but ayu...dats a different story haahs

Haha, yes it's crazy for me, but Izumi Sakai's music made a big impact on me. I always wanted to collect her singles, so this would be a good way. I might have to push it behind until later this year however since there are still a few more things I need to get.

I'm just hoping it won't go out of print.

A premium box of ZARD already released in 2002 for fanclub only and many artists did a premium box before (Matsuda Seiko everyone?)

Only fans who dont have the singles will buy it of course, it contains all her singles (some are old and unfindable) + inedit (already released in the previous box for fanclub only) and dvd, and it's not expensive, if you buy all her singles separately it will cost WAY MORE =P

I'm interesed in how many copies this will sell :P

so i can't nemore
if i save up, then i might be able to get it towards the end of the year, but it's gonna kill me literally, but then again save me a few months/years on finding her singles on cheaper places, aka ebay, yahoo jp etc

Usually there is no source for boxes sales because they are big, and people would buy them time by time and not immediately like a single or an album..

Anyway I'm sure it's not the last release, I mean it's her last singles release but if there are other inedit songs (like the previous singles Glorious Mind and Tsubasa wo Hirogete which are both INEDITS) they will put all in an album and surely they will do a tribute album but it will happen after many years.

I saw this on CD Japan last week and I was like OMG, I wanna buy this. But, the one issue is of course the money, and for me this would cost about AUD$450-460. including shipping. Next year, if it's still in print, then I'll highly consider buying it. =D

I think it will be still in print...they dont sell it on cd shops, you need to order via shop though.

I made my favorite cd shop call the Being to ask if it is a limited edition and they said its not...luckily =)
