Mirrorcle World sold 146,000 copies this week, about 5,000 ahead of the new baka-talent-group Shuchishin, clinching the #1 spot!

This marks her 30th #1 single and is her 18th consecutive #1. She has also achieved the no.1 spot for female artists in the category of no.1s per year. Since 1999, she has received at least one #1 each year. :O

I'm so happy for Ayu! I was pretty scared that Shuchishin was gonna sell more.. and I was pretty much expecting that. They will definitely outsell her in the long run though. But that's okay, right? :]

Well, they don't really care.

The single was a one track single + instrumental, and was released for fun I think. I don't think they expected to do so well, but they did.

They have thousands of comments [in total, MILLIONS] in their blogs combined... with each entry totalling in at like 10000 comments each.. it's pretty insane.

I think what she achieved here is a really really hard thing to do.
In other times, there was not that much competition and the genre of music was limited. It was much easier to get a number 1 in Siko matsuda's time
The fact that she beat her has proven the title queen of Ayu.

i'm mad at the people in other forums, saying that the big drop shows that avex really bought 10k copies and that the reason that they didnt do it for guilty was cause albums are more expensive ..... and that avex couldnt afford it ..... so avex can afford 2 million dollars pv for ayu but not 20k copies of guilty, if it were to be true?

All this talk about sales is so irritating. I swear. Some people just need to chill out, eat some food, and then come back. (Food makes the world go round!) Sales aren't that important people.

AVEX loves earning money and spending it only to earn more (I mean take a look at how good they're using the last few months until their sweetbox contract expires, releasing kaZillion of BEST OFs). Buying copies yourself is DUMB, and not only AVEX could be doing it, but everyone else as well. So it would be great if people would drop this, as it does sound immature and stupid. Ayu isn't perfect, but she is closer to being a perfect musician than most of the others, at least to me.

As I said many times, except for the sudden huge promotion and gifts thingy which was proven by avex itself, there is no other proofs for anything else they did. No proof, not a fact. (And again, using the abnormal high rise in sales is not a proof).
Everyone can think that there was an "avex mocus" but still, there is no proof for that.
Usually the people that want to think that don't like ayu as well so it's not surprising.

Avex magic, huh? So basically everyone thinks that Avex just gave Ayu #1 because of her Anniversary? They think that Avex themselves bought copies of Mirrocle World? xD I think this is the funniest load of crap I've ever heard. Why can't people just accept the fact that Ayu is the queen of Japanese pop music, period. People love her and her music and they are really supporting her...is it so unheard of to support your favorite artist? Like everyone said, Avex has been promoting MW pretty heavily, so I can see how she got so many copies sold, especially since she has a different re-sung track for each version. So why accuse Avex of doing something when there is no proof?

What are these numbers supposed to be? The first number seems to be the position... but then Shuchishin has a - and a 1, Ayu has a 69 and a 2, and the 3rd place has a 6 and 4~ Seems so weird XD

I'm not bashing any other artists - that's really not my thing - but it really gets to me when I constantly am reading these negative things about Ayu, especially on her 10th anniversary year. It's not jokes that I get angered at, I always find them hilarious but these are truly negative comments I am talking about that bother me. Ayu has been through a lot and worked harder than anyone to get where she is today so people need to lay off. I mean, she is an icon - like it or not - and THAT is a FACT.
