the hardest Ayu song to sing along
 

she reaches really high notes in some songs... mostly her earlier ones... and one song that i find sooooooo hard to sing is "still alone", "surreal" & "M" (towards the end) omg... it kills my voice!

what song do you think she goes SOOOOOOO super high that it's just, hyperbolically speaking, Ayu's supernatural voice can do? i've never heard anyone reach higher notes than she has, like that last chorus in "M"... her technique is so unparalleled, imo.

evolution is hard anyway because of the fast chorus, but it's even harder in Japanese. I find Who... difficult now, though.

evolution definitely..too fast for a non japanese speaker hehe me, M is easy at first..but the end is eek, A Song For XX is the easier one for me, it's slower, SURREAL @_@ hard...any really fast songs is hard for me, slow ones like endless sorrow,rainy day are easier ^^

the only Ayu songs I've ever done in karaoke are Because of You & Depend on You, and DoY is SO HARD to sing! Hitting those high notes is just so painful for me. x.x

The final chorus of M definetly has to be hit just right for it to sound pleasant and clear.

Bold & Delicious is singable (is that a word? XD) for me, but I think you have to have soul and attitude to get the chorus just right.

Maybe it's because it's still new to me, but I still have trouble with glitter, especially at the chorus.

Any rock song, for me, is hard to sing. Maybe it's because my vocals are better suited for more upbeat, happy songs and ballads (and Broadway, but that's disregarding this topic). Anyway, I can never hit 1 LOVE perfectly (although I love doing the end of each chorus). Because of You and is this LOVE? are glorious songs, but not for my voice. Even GAME and my name's WOMEN are difficult songs, too.

It seems that a lot of her earlier work is difficult for some people, but I'm sure no one feels guilty about it. Hey, I'm sure Ayu would have trouble with them today unless she changed the key. ;)

I think for more it would be fly high, until that day, and about you...too fast for me...lol

The only songs i've really sung along to are M (god i lvoe this song) and Marionette....i would think that evolution would be really hard but i haven't tried it

"evolution" was one of the first Japanese songs i learned, i think once you get the rhythm down in your head for any song it can become alot easier than it seems. for some reason "Moments" really murders my voice. x_x "SURREAL" too.

Also, I love Evolution :luv2, and that's a simple song for me to sing. I have also mastered "Surreal" I love to sing the last part!!; also "End Roll" has a lot of pitches, but because I always sing the songs I love, I also learned how to do the high notes there... Same with "kanariya" now It's easy for me to sing. (I'm one of those people who loves to sing Mariah Carey "butterfly", Utada HIkaru "distance" or "kremlin dusk" or Leona Lewis "bleeding love":innocent) Also, "talkin' to myself" is pretty easy to me, I love to sing the remix version of this song haha...

Also "Until that day", that's one of the only songs of her I can't sing at the same time, like Fly High (one part) and I don't like "For My Dear".

The other ones are a lot easier for me to sing... for example "Mirrorcle World" (love the wow yeah part) or "A song for xx" (love the last part).:yes

I will be honest her voice is so beautiful I do not want to disrupt the pleasure of listening to her by singing along.

Er, 'Kanariya' and 'M' are REALLY hard to sing. Kanariya is just too high pitched and towards the end of M, she goes super high and it's hard for me to reach those notes. Now though, her notes aren't as high as her older songs, so it's easier for me to sing them.

Sometimes I feel that fast songs are a fun challenge, so I tried to sing it correctly.
But because of singing too fast so often, I speak fast too as my friend and teachers always comment about my fast speak.

For me the hardest Ayu songs are
1. evolution - so fast the chorus are
2. Fly high - the rap part
3. SURREAL - sometimes I just sing it chaoticly

I guess singing Ayu' songs you don't have to imitate her high-pitch voice, I sometimes do it too but It's better that we sing it with our own style :)

The hardest is by far Fly High. I can do evolution and talkin 2 myself well, actually. I think. lol. But lyrically, Fly High.

Vocally, M and Endless sorrow. Endless sorrow is just amazing, really. Surprised no one mentioned it.

1. Mirrorcle World - I've discovered recently how hard this song is when I want to sing it. I just can't scream like Ayu in the "wow yeah" part O_O;
2. End roll, M, Endless sorrow - oh the high notes.

But I must admit that Ayu's song are a really nice karaoke material. I've learnt how to sing properly just from them. XD

There aren't many hard songs for me lyrically since I sing along all the time and pronouncing Japanese on the spot isn't a challenge for me anymore. When it comes to high notes I just change the pitch - even with the instrumentals it still sounds fine.

everyone's "hatin" on M!!! i love singing it at karaoke! sure my throat is destroyed in the process but.... evolution is definitely a challenge... but every time i try it, i get more and more "slightly less sucky!"

M its really high and uh...evolution (Its too fast for me) and the chorus of A song for XX (cause its fast for me too)

I'll agree also that End Roll and Fly High are pretty hard to sing but I found evolution, Naturally, pride and the rest fairly easy to learn.

Inspire: It's not that difficult to sing compared to her other songs, but it you don't have the attitude, it turns out sounding weak.
Evolution: The verses. Also personally, I don't think this song works well if you don't sound like Ayu.
Naturally: The transition.. You go from talking really really fast into a powerhouse voice!

until that Day... takes a lot of energy from ayu to sing, because it's so fast.

I really want to try Kanariya now after all the things people said about it. ^^

For me, these are the following songs that I can't sing(or I able sing a little):

AUDIENCE(Too high pitched), evolution(Too fast), UNITE!(Same as AUDIENCE), poker face, fly high(especially the rapping part), Some songs in the album "ASFXX", ANGEL'S SONG(Same as AUDIENCE), and forgiveness(Some parts of this song was very high pitched).

For me, the newest songs of Ayu are the easiest to sing.

I'd have to say that all of Ayu's super fast songs are IMPOSSIBLE for me to sing!
These include: 'evolution', 'fly high' and especially: 'kanariya'.

But for me, Love ~Refrain~ and Trauma are the easiest to sing.

I think Because of You, evolution, M, ourselves, surreal, SEASONS, Carols, and Moments are pretty much up there...they are very tiring to sing...i have tried...

The ones that are lower-pitched are easier... well, a tad bit easier at least.
But then there's some songs where it's IMPOSSIBLE to sing, I think you need to use a special technique or something to sing it lol... though then again I just suck at singing so yeah XD

My "todokanai" in fated is wrong about 95% of the time. I think I once sounded okay, but my "ka" is always all over the place.

It's hard to sing Ayu's songs, but i'm sure UNITE! is hard..

well, for me as of now, UNITE!, but that's because I have sang the other high-pitched songs first....
I burn a copy of original instrumentals and UNITE is track 13 so my voice is quite tired when i sing it...

(tracks on my disc: SURREAL, No way to say,NEVER EVER, M, HANABI, HANABI ~episode II~,forgiveness, evolution, end roll, Dearest, Daybreak, appears, UNITE! and Together When..) Quite tiring to sing continuously.

Same for me, i cant sing the rap part of fly high . As well as evolution, the chorus part, INSPIRE and ourselves . I get breathless singing Moments and chorus part of No way to say . ANGEL'S SONG is rather difficult in the beginning .

While on the other hand, i love singing Greatful Days, My Name's WOMEN, Dearest, SEASONS and SURREAL . :P

kanariya at the end, my voice gets highly nasally and off pitch badly so I don't try to hit the same notes.

Songs like Flower garden and About you I stumble one a couple words and so it messes me up for durations of the song, with those I just have to practice.

The beginning of memorial address is hard because I just can never figure out the same pitch between my voice and her's so I'm always off tune and I end up singing that projecting from my throat versus my diaframe. -_-
