Mirrorcle world making of Ayu speaks in english
 

I've just watched the making off of mirrorcle world (i received today the single :D)
and it surprised me Ayu speaking in english with the guy that's always with her, isnt he japanese?? or they're jut speaking in english because of being in Paris so everyone could understand them?

yes she does!omg i couldn't believe it either. i couldnt really make out what she said though.

what she says? :( I don't have the DVD

Ayu: Ooh, it's so cold.

(After filming the first walking scene)
Bodyguard guy (to Ayu): Nice shot. They said that we could put the motor home and everything right next to location.
Ayu (shocked): That's good, that's good.

Director (to Ayu): Do you want something to eat?
Ayu: No, I'm okay.

Random lady on the street: Ayu! Ayu!
Ayu: Yes?
Random lady: We hope you have fun tonight. (she gave Ayu a big bouquet)
Ayu: Oh, thank yooou!
Random lady: We're so happy to see you
Ayu: Thank you.

(Ayu starts signing a few autographs...)
Guy with Ayu: Okay folks, thank you. We have to get going.
Ayu: We don't have much time.

(Shooting the telephone booth scene)
Director: You know like a mime, but a bit of finger movements, yes.

(Still shooting the telephone booth scene, I guess someone directed Ayu to do something with her face)
Ayu: So just like.. face? Like this?
(Ayu poses)


(In the hotel with her body guard)
Bodyguard (to Ayu): How are you?
Ayu: Fine... you?
Bodyguard: Me too.
Ayu(I can't understand what she says here, something about his voice): Kind of breaking..
Bodyguard: Fantastic.
Ayu: (laughs)
Bodyguard: I know. Too much here.
Ayu: Oh, yeah. (laughs)
Bodyguard: My voice cracked.
Ayu: Camera, camera! (joking)

And the rest is just Ayu saying thank you.


With the bodyguard in the hotel -- I think his voice cracked and Ayu mentioned something about it and he told her that his voice has cracked too much in Paris [because of the cold weather], so she pretended to call the camera over to try and embarrass him in a joking way.

Shes spoken english several times...

CNN interview...bold and delicious (making of)...etc.

Yea, but never to this extend in a making of, like B&D was just "thank you guys". In this making of, she speaks no Japanese at all. I would assume her body guard speaks Japanese, so maybe she's trying to practice her English when she can. There was rumours that she is in intense English training this year, compared to previous years.

I love it Ayumi speaks english. I just recently saw a video of her speaking english at one of her Secret concerts (I think at Taiwan) and it was sooo cute. She couldn't pronounce prayer xd

but Ayu just seemed understand from what the guy said but she didn't say a lot of things.. though, i really want to listen to a lot of english from her...

I saw this on the TeamAyu page at MySpace and I was giddy with laughter and smiles about her English! ^^

She also said something towards the beginning about it being cold. I think that was one of her first sentences (in the making-of video); when I heard it, I had to rewind to make sure I wasn't hearing things! :laugh

I must say I was exceptionally impressed with her bodyguard (and the director's) English more than Ayu herself. :)

Yes! I LOVE this making of because of her speaking English! Though she has done it before (CNN interview) it's just so great to hear! If she's working even harder to learn English, I hope that means that one day soon, she'll have at least ONE concert in the U.S.... *hopeful*

^ I'm sure that she will one day! We just gotta keep hoping. I mean, Miyavi has performed live in L.A./Vegas multiple times and he's not nearly as popular as Ayu [most are fangirls, sadly ¬¬;], so I'm confident that it will happen. :yes

i'm happy she can speak english very well

actually, there shouldnt be any doubt that she understands english perfectly well, and should be quite efficient in conversing in english in a social manner even if she's not very good at it.

remember that she did go to new york to study music before she officially started her career... hence it is no surprise that her english should be quite good.

I just understand some part and I think they say "she's very beautiful" but I miss the other guy's speech

They were probably asked to explain what role they were playing in the PV.
The first man says, "We're pursuing her."
The second man quips, "Because she's very beautiful."

In old interviews, she states that she didn't understand or learn English during her short stint training in NY. It was within the past few years that Ayu really buckled down and honed her English skills.

I think that this time round her English has improved tremendously... Not all Japanese stars can master English really well... Go AYU!!

about the mime thing:
When she was talking about making the face to bodyguard, the director pipes "okay let's film please!" and her face just looked like she was only asking a question kind of look. (but thats just what i thought)

Bodyguard: How are you?
Ayu: I'm good.
Bodyguard: Me too.
Ayu: "kind of breaking" -- or whatever.. (but i don't think she's talking about his voice yet. i thought it was something to do with her mood.)
Bodyguard: I'm fantastic
Ayu laughs
Bodyguard: I yelled to much this morning
Ayu: Oh, yeah.
(Then she's imitating what he was yelling.)

That fatty is actually her real bodyguard..he's American if I am not mistaken. And he's with Ayu everywhere she goes..as her body guard of course! You guys get to see his big belly in fairyland making of!

He's really cute...Ayu has many true loyal friends! He's been with Ayu since forever!!! And Ayu treats him so nice! Getting parts for him in her PV ! He's cute! And the way he take cares of Ayu is really sweet....She carries Ayu here and there!

oh, i saw him in INSPIRE making of before. So the one who chase ayu in Dearest pv was him too? it's been 7 years then.

I think that's pretty normal. English is my first (and really only) language but when I do speak Japanese, my voice tends to be higher.. not like super genki anime character high, it just naturally takes a higher inflection. I have to consciously lower it occasionally (not like I speak it frequently but yeah) to make it blend if I am mixing the languages.

I love seeing Ayu speak english! That's why I love this making-of so much! :heart
And yeah, seeing how close she is to her co-workers is so SWEET. Like Yo-chan in concerts<3

I suspect that he is from hawaii...either a japanese from hawaii or some hawaii-japanese mix....that's why he is fluent in both english and japanese...and he looks hawaiian too! can anyone confirm?

yeah.. like said already... when speaking japanese, the voice tends to get higher cause there is no like... up and down like english..

even everyone I know who learn english has that same thing.
