Ayu at Target!!!!! O_O

OMG, you guys...I don't know if you already knew this, but apparently Target sells Ayu CDs. O_O They're ridiculously expensive (although Secret's a half-decent price and even thought it's expensive, you can get the limited edition version of GUILTY with the DVD and photobook), but there's 63 items!

I think it might be an online only thing, but still...WOW. I will go there this week to see if they're in the stores.

pop909 21st April 2008 06:53 AM

http://www.target.com/gp/search/602-...bx_1_1&x=0&y=0

if you scroll down to MUSIC..you can see Guilty the CD version is 44$.. how can they even say "you save 5$"

Bashumaru 21st April 2008 06:54 AM

Lol cool :P, I hope its in the stores but I doubt it, I looked for her CDs at target but I didn't know where to look, so I just looked in International and Pop/Rock and I couldn't find a thing :(.

Celaphorce 21st April 2008 06:56 AM

I saw Nami Tamaki's cd's at Wal-mart before, but whenever I go to target I don't exactly see the cd's I wish I did, I usually go there for cd's most of the time, but I wish they sold japanese singles and such because it would be a hell of a lot better than waiting a week of longer just to get your order.

zoomzoom 21st April 2008 06:59 AM

Ah, I wish it was in the actual store :P

KuroixShiroi_Namida 21st April 2008 07:01 AM

seems guilty is banned in this forum from now on :cry

Halla 21st April 2008 08:01 AM

I'm pretty sure that those are just imports via some of their suppliers ...

truehappiness 21st April 2008 08:06 AM

Nami Tamaki is at Wal-mart because of her affiliation with the now defunct Tofu Records [which released Jpop music in the US.]~

Lanz16 21st April 2008 08:10 AM

That was very nice to see that Target is actually selling Ayu-chan's CDs but they're quite pricey.

$56+ for a CD+DVD album, not good(except for the GUILTY with PhotoBook :) ).

The good thing is that they're selling hard-to-find 'Boys & girls' single!!! X3

ayuzlove 21st April 2008 08:15 AM

oh my...the prices are pretty scary! :thud

RadnasticReggie 21st April 2008 08:23 AM

It just costs so much to import the cds.
Notice the ayu-mi-x say 6 or 7 weeks shipping time or something.
It costs a lot to ship there for jacking the prices really high.

Banzai!! 21st April 2008 10:05 AM

Holy crap! Arashi's Dream A Live is $72.99!! :o

che0173 21st April 2008 10:06 AM

woahh crap thats expensive
and LOLS i was thinking target australia!?
lols like namida and deneb said, no ayu in target australia neways =(
oh wells not like i was ever gonna give them 300% profit ^_^
hehes

wenren93 21st April 2008 12:09 PM

HOLY ***** !
is so !@#?!% expensive sia !

Chibi_Venus 21st April 2008 03:11 PM

They seem to have a nice selection, although the prices don't surprise me.

I found one of the A BEST 2 CDs or DVDs (I can't remember which) that was about $80 in Borders, and Target's prices are about half.

Actually, now that I just scrolled through the list, it somewhat surprises me to already see "Mirrorcle World" (although it does say that it hasn't been shipped yet).

MemorialAddress 21st April 2008 09:18 PM

This is funny :laugh
A LOT of online stores sell J-Pop CD's at very high prices.

Borders. Barnes and Noble. Target. . .

The list goes on lol

kirei_ayumi 21st April 2008 09:25 PM

lmao when I seen the title of this thread, I thought to myself as if ayu was physically in Target lol I've seen RAINBOW cd at the Target down the street from where I live....

taskinillusion 21st April 2008 09:29 PM

Yes, they sell a lot of J-pop CDs for very high prices.

same here!

although the reason i think it's showing that target has ayu cds is because their music search is powered by amazon...meaning if you typed in "ayumi" on amazon, you'd get the same results.

pommy48 21st April 2008 10:09 PM

omeek it's expensive @_@

minna 21st April 2008 10:22 PM

even if it's reaallly expensive I think it's really cool :yes

ownsarai 22nd April 2008 10:55 PM

They should start putting her CD's & DVD's in their stores! I would be buying something Ayu related every week if they did~

At those prices I wouldn't :laugh

kristen 23rd April 2008 06:03 AM

its because target gets their cds and stuff through amazon.

if amazon has their cds then target will sell them too.

I work at Target :]

Target was my favorite store until I worked there. :( We'd go in at 1 pm, and get off work at 2 am. The zoning, go-backs, CODE 1'S NEVER END! :faint

lfe. 23rd April 2008 07:14 AM

sucks, if the prices were lower it would help increasing American fanbase by a ton. Well, its not going to be every day that an American person is gonna walk by and decide to buy a Japanese album, but it starts out little by little at first and it would grow eventually. bummer

che0173 23rd April 2008 08:02 AM

yea it would increase american fanbases by a lot but then its like...japanese
lots of americans still hate japan because of World War 2 right?
like...of course mainly old adults
but yea...lols
and wow why wouldn't target just get it from err...cdjapan or etc?
i mean like cmon mann...they're a huge shop getting japanese stuff, go to japanese store for that <3
lols

not really, the newer generation mostly are fascinated by some foreign countries like japan. like im korean and technically im supposed to hate japan too like the older generation of koreans do because of japanese rule over korea in the early 1900s. but its one of the most interesting countries to me. Americans from the WWII era will probably still hate them, but the younger folks are a bit more open minded and willing to diversify, well, not at these prices though

bondingo 24th April 2008 07:54 AM

Practically every major store like that in the US lists Ayu and some other J-Pop artists on their websites for ridiculously high prices, but none of them actually carry the items in stores. Just look Ayu up on Circuit City's website; she has plenty of products there as well.
