Does all ayu CDs come with OBI?
 

I bought a few ayu CDs (japan press) on ebay... and some of them came without OBI. No even indication of no OBI.. it was just un-mentioned and all. and i can't find pictures of them. It only recently got drawn to my attention that all CDs come with OBIs. is that true?

both my ayu-mi-x 4 came without OBIs. I got both from different sellers though..

^most of them do. Pretty much all of them, though I'm not sure about the 8cm and Fly High/Kanariya, those may just have transperant slips. I can't remember if my Ayu-mi-x 4 AO came with clear purple obi or not, I thought it did. :shrug anyway, when you buy used so sellers tend to not include obi unless indicated.

All four versions of ayu-mi-x II don't have a OBI at least. Then I'm not sure about SUPER EUROBEAT presents ayu-ro mix?

"- The packaging of ayu-mi-x 4+selection releases varied by pressing: First-pressings were produced in limited amounts of unknown quantity with a colored transparent tray insert and information sticker. All later pressings of the releases removed the colored tray insert and added an OBI in lieu of an information sticker."

most of the ayu cds from ebay have obi, if not, it's usually mentioned in description.. :D ayu-mi-x 2 doesnt have obi FOR SURE, don't think ayumix 4 have them too :D only have slip case for first press. normal press of them don't have obi..from my memory at least

now that u mentioned. both my ayu-mi-x 4 has the colored transparent tray insert inside the CD... no information sticker though...

sibby scared me by saying ALL CDs come with OBIs... -_- i'm relieved now at least... i'm a fussy collector... :x so... anyone wants to buy my RAINBOW japan press CD~ no OBIs! haha... bidded wrongly... :(

No. Forgot to mention it. The case is too slim for it to have a proper OBI.

Only overseas version of ayu-mi-x II's have OBI. Not Japan versions.

Yes, it does indeed. I'm sad though, because that is the only Ayu release where I miss the OBI for. :(
Unless SUPER EUROBEAT presents ayu-ro mix is supposed to have one? That I still want to know.

I don't have many Ayu CDs, but when I bought them one or two years ago in stores, I just threw them in the trash with the plastic xD

no not exactly the case aint too thin to have an obi...
if you look at those slim cased hikki cd's they have obi...
an example is hikki's single automatic/time will tell, it has the same slim jewel case xD

Yay my ayu-mi-x 4 cds were first press! I have ayu-ro mix 2 and that came in a slipcase.

I know that ayu's CDs that come with slipcases have no OBIs - A BEST, A BALLADS, A BEST 2 both. Maybe the non first press (slipcase) have OBIs.

OBI comes from the thing geisha put around theri waist as the alst part...the thing which holds everything together (sry I forgot the englisch word)

indeed most do, the exceptions are the 8cm cds, boys and girls, kanariya, fly high, ayu-mi-x II and ayu-mi-x III, a song is born

I do know what an OBI is , it's that extra piece of paper that you can remove easily from the side of the CD casing

Haha like the person said.. it's the sash they wear with kimonos and martial arts uniforms. That sash is called an obi, so they call the cd thing an obi too, since you wrap it on the cd.

Yes. I had seen a copy of A BEST a while back that didn't come with the slipcase anymore and it had an obi (and it was a Japan Ver.)

Yeah! So I think that in ayu's case if there is a slipcase there won't be an OBI but if there isn't so there will be an OBI...
I think that the 8cm singles came in slipcases didn't they? maybe because of that they have no OBIs... there ones who don't come with both have no OBI for no reason I guess =P ...

no, 8cm's didn't come in slip cases, they came in weird paper/cardboard cases

slip case, nah, 8cms are like notepads or sandwich lol a best has slip case for 1st press and os version... hehe normal jp version have obi
