Tsuchiya Anna (土屋アンナ) is a model, singer and actress who started her career as an exclusive model for seventeen magazine at 14. In 2002, she became the vocalist of the indies band Spin Aqua and later in 2004 started an acting career, playing Shirayuri Ichigo in the award winning comedy Shimotsuma Monogatari. Currently Anna continues on her musical career with a solo project under the MAD PRAY RECORDS sub-label of Avex. Anna is semi-proficient in English, having better command of an English accent than her peers (however is not a fluent speaker of English). Anna writes the lyrics to almost all of her songs herself.

To answer people in the other thread who were asking why no one likes the CD only cover, I like it a little more than the CD+DVD cover myself XP When I saw the preview pic of Anna and Ai, I was hoping that the cover would be something like her costume there XD

I liked "Rose", but I didn't start to really listen to Anna until I went on YouTube and found some of her Blood of Roses videos. Now she is one of my favourite J-artists :D A lot of her pre-Nana stuff is actually better then Rose etc...it's a shame they didn't get as much recognition :(

Well this is kind of random since everyone seems to be preoccupied with the Spin Aqua stuff...but I really liked 'Crazy World' :)
It had a good beat and I liked the mix of rock and rnb.

Crazy World is really awesome, I like it more than cocoon. I have high hopes for Anna's next album just from these two singes~ I think one more single than an album would be good.

There's a radio rip of Crazy World in the Downloads section, along with a long preview of the b-side, which I didn't care for.

...but as much as I love her I can't being myself to like this song. As usual she sings well, but bring everything else into the equation and it comes across as somewhat...lame.

The songs seem to be getting better as she releases new singles. BUBBLE TRIP has a catchy beat, but it didn't have anything else going for it. cocoon was 100% better than it, and Crazy World is really really good too, but in a different category since cocoon and Crazy World are two different styles. The only thing I don't like about it is AI... Her voice just doesn't work for me. I've had the radio rip on loop <3, I can't wait for a better quality version~

I dunno. I kinda think that the pv, is pretty dull, I mean with a song and title like "crazy world," I felt that there should have been a lot more cHaOs in the pv.. a little lesbo action in the end doesn't cut it... but I still love the song. I'm preoreding it today, after my mom comes home :P

I don't want a good singer get too popular, though this is a selfish thinking.

If Anna get too popular, avex is pushing her to release lots of crap songs in a short period of time. Look at Koda, she used to have lots of good music before getting popular, but what she has done after getting popular. I admit she has done some good music after she get popular,but not as much as she used to be. And the value of good music depends on how you look at. If someone blindly love Koda, no matter what kind of music she make, those are good for these people.

On the other hand, avex dumped Koda like garbage after she said things wrong. This probably will happen on someone else again.


In conclusion, I don't want to see Anna get too popular and just keep things like now!
