Do you download and listen to the songs on an album before you buy it?

I usually do because I'm too impatient, but when I don't I feel I always love the album 20 times more and it becomes one of my favorite albums. :D What about you?

Yes, I dl albums/singles before buying them. Eh, I feel so guilty dling HEART STATION before buying it though. :cry

Guilty! Too many artists releasing albums, it's hard to keep up, so I download then buy the albums when I get enough money.

sometimes I do. like, if it's something I'm on the fence about, I'll sample it and decide whether to buy it or not. and sometimes, if it's something I've pre-ordered, I'll go ahead and download so I don't have to wait a week or two for it to arrive to listen.

^Ehh....I know! I wish I had done that with Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad album! Ugh.....more like Good Girl Crappy Album. :irked

Sometimes. I never downloaded Moi dix Mois' albums before buying them or Ayu albums either, but for other artists I do.

if i already know and love the artist i wont download, just buy.

if i have no idea who they are, what they sound like, or if im just trying to get into an artist, i usually download first.

although sometimes i just randomly buy stuff ive never heard before...

No, that sort of defeats buying the album legally, doesn't it? I only do that if I buy the release waaay later, I mean, like if I wasn't even planning on buying it when it came out.

Nope xD I don't think I've ever listened to an album on the computer and then went out and bought it. However, I usually DO download some of the songs from it before I buy it, and then replace them with the CD rip in my iTunes :D

Well, I hardly have money at all most of the time, so if I don't download the albums, as much as I want to buy them, I'll be without any music...
If I already bought it, I try to wait for my copy to arrive before listening to it, but sometimes I can't XD I ended up downloading Samii's garden album before it arrived~ but I managed to wait for my copy for Mirrorcle World. I had already listened to MW though, plus I heard the previews for the other songs... haha, I'm too curious XD

Yup, I almost always do, ESPECIALLY if it's an artist I love. I want to hear it right away, even if it's for sure I'm buying it. Give me my muzaks!

yeah I always do that especially to those artistes that I'm quite hesistant to get a physical copy of the CD

if I like what I hear , I will definitely buy the physical copy of the CD . It's the least of what I can do about it

LOL Most of the time I don't get to even buy the music I download...even though I'd love to. Even the 320 kps doesn't sound as good as the actual cd even though it's supposed :/

All the time...my slogan is "download now, buy later". I can't afford to buy everything I like right now. lol

If it's a US release and I really want it, I buy it and then download it, I prefer it already tagged then having to do it myself, now if it's overseas and such I'll download after I preorder and such.

Yes. Japanese albums are too expensive. So I can't risk it by spending all the money, and then not liking it. =/

Mostly I download. My policy is, I don't download if I can buy it. Although, now a days it's more, "download now, and wait till there's money to buy." I have money only once a month, and it's a limited amount so I can't buy EVERYTHING. I'm focusing on Ayu stuff for now, just albums. I'm not crazy enough to go after all the singles.

I only buy if its an artist I lurve (like ayu), for everyone else I download :P.

I do with everything :P I usually go and buy them if I really like what I hear, or if they are my favs, such as Hikki, Ayu, or UVERworld :D

It all depends. If I know I'm going to buy the album anyways, it leaks, and then I get impatient for the release, I'll download it (i.e. any of Ayu's albums). However, sometimes I'll download an album I'm not sure that I'll like, end up liking it and then buy it. Other times though, I'll like it but just not feel like paying the money for the album since I already have the music. When I don't like the album I just delete it from my computer.

I use to do that but now i just listen to it on youtube once and if i like it I buy it XD ~ Except for Ai-chan XD I am buying her albums/singles no matter what XD ~!

i ever bought bought BoA korean album My Name. i dont like it.just some song i like it.
I bought it without download it first. i'm very disapointed so i sold it... XD

I don't download full albums. I did a few times in the past, and it just ruined the surprise of getting the actual copy. That's why I haven't heard BoA's THE FACE nor Hikaru Utada's HEART STATION albums yet.

I usually buy the singles/albums but i don't need to open it since i can DL all the content. But for ayu + kuu i just buy it since they're awesome but for other artists like utada and others i need to listen first lol.

For some artists I do not download, I wait for my copy to come because I know it's worth it. The others I download and possibly buy later, no money to buy all of the albums =\

Ahm, if it is for Ayumi Hamasaki etc...: Yup, cause I never buy an album of her (there is no shop here in the Netherlands .. well in my city, where I can buy them, and I may not buy an album from internet)
... But I had some songs of Fergie, when I buyed the album The Dutchess...

So, conclusion: It could be... it could be... it depends what artist..
