Hey! So this is a thread to discuss about XX's collection, or ebay/YJ items, or anything rare conserning Ayu's releases!

And even if you have 0 Ayu products, don't worry you're still welcome!

This is made in an effort to limit the "Post Your Collection!" posts to pictures, feel free to repost the pics over here!

I'm currently obsessed with decorating my room with Ayu stuff, I have lots of posters (Still want the Inspire and fairyland posters though ; ;)

I have few posters from printing-house :) They are cheap - I paid about 0,7 $ for 30x42 cm :D and you can have any picture you want...

I wasn't expecting Trust to end at that much, considering there's one for 18usd on buy it now on ebay. And while You ending at 50usd was something I expected, Poker face ending at about the same was not lol. I was looking forward to seeing crazy bids on that one xD

I won TO BE by "mistake", 5 minutes before the auction ended I was like "lets put US$18 and wait to see how much does it take to be overbid" (the highest bid at that moment was $16), and It didn't happen O_O I really was not expecting to win...

I buy mostly from auctions/sellers that sell their "collections" or many cds cheap, so I tend to get lots of duplicates :/

I'm still looking for "appears" sealed though, can't find a decent priced one ;_; and it's the only single I'm missing. That and the 8 re-issues of her 8cm singles :P

From her remix albums I'm only missing Ayu Trance 1 and 2, but I NEED the first press editions lol. But so hard to find sealed versions xD

HEHE thanks, I understand you, if there is a 1st press I try to get it too, I love those small details like a different case or a sleeve case... LUV IT!, and I think that getting a sealed 1st press of Ayu is one of the hardest things there are XD

If the CD and the case (includes the obi if it's the case) are in good condition it's ok for me... of course, I'll miss the plastic wrapping =p

Personaly I'm a bit worried about one item, the Ayumi swimsuit VHS, for this version:

I'm not sure it's really legit, I mean no ISBN n° no Barcode.. pretty weird..

For rare things, that I own: nfn single + album, Terima Kasih, M german single misprinted, the idol vhs, Girl Pop 05/1998 (the first Ayu apperance, from her Avex era, I guess..) All in mint condition.
maybe some posters.. (I still have to make pics of them.. but more than 100, it will take time :D)

Looks like the 40 minutes of the IDOL video doesn't have any ISBN etc... Only 30 minutes version has those. At least according to the pictures at Nick's page. By the way, since you have 40 minutes version then can I ask what's the main difference is to the 30 minutes one. The file that is circulating online is the 30 minutes one only. That's why I am asking!

If you really have the 40 minutes version, then congratulations because it is supposed to be VERY rare! :D

It's why I ask, I made research about this VHS few years ago (even before I own one.) and well I couldn't found one other idol vhs from scholar publishers inc without isbn or barcode. And the 30 minutes version is harder to get than this one. (and It's not rare, compared to the nfn album for example...)

For the differences I 've never watch it entirely, and i never watch the 30 minutes version. Like for her others old products, It's only for collection, I'm not fan of idol stuff :D

How much are you going to sell that for? For prices, just think about all the stuff you've bought, and use that as a reference for when you pick prices for your stuff.

Well I haven't thought about prices yet, I suppose depending on whether the item is available on online shops vs demand vs status of the item. I'll try to go to my post office this week and find out costs and everything, then setup a thread in fansites so this doesn't turns into a "buy from milo" thread xD. Thing is, I'm a student who can't really go to the post office every day, so I would like to do as less trips as possible and don't send too many packages, to ensure that everything gets to you and what not. Otherwise, I would love to put the stuff on ebay, but theres a chance that I could en up with like 20+ different buyers lol

And I actually wasn't going to collect Ayu stuff, I had very little. Abest2dvdx2, GUILTYdvd. Then I got mirrocle world dvd x2, and I was initially just going to buy her albums but a friend from japan, who I asked if he could turn into my middleman, told me he was selling part of his Ayu collection. And he sold me 20singles (new,Japan edition) for 4000yen. (Every single from Kanariya to No Way To Say). So i suddenly was "half way" done with singles lol, then I got into the whole middleman stuff and began to bid on YJ. I got this really cool auction that had I Am, Duty, Rainbow, LovePpears and a few first press remix albums. So that's when I started collecting remix albums xD

And I recently got my friend to sell me his H collection (new/japan) for 3000 yen, which I think was a fair price xD

I doubt he will sell me his A one though, I think he is aiming to sell for alot more on Auctions!

I just can't seem to find, or I'm not on, when an appears single pops lol. I can't believe I missed the one on ebay, it ended so low too!! And yeah I saw the 4 cm cds on YJ, but those ones you can get on store xD
I'm so picky with what I buy now because I have spent close to 400USD, and don't want to spend much more! + the middlemans prices kill me !_!

Yes the H collection is all 5 versions, brand new factory sealed.

I think the ones that costed me the most (in terms of money) to get brand new, was the 8 cm singles. They are all brand new but they costed me a good amount xD

And well the A set isn't that rare, but not many people have them sealed. Most only have the obi and the cd. I'm so picky with those things lol

There's only one single I own from my collection that isn't completely sealed, Boys & Girls, but it is signed by Ayu and has the original bag it came in just opened from the bottom. But I loooove it so much lol

And the Appears in ebay ended for like 13 usd i believe, incredibly cheap for that one. I have seen daybreak, which isn't that rare, end for like 40usd!!!!

I'm impressed with some of your collections. I do have a lot (and that includes tour goods), but I still don't have all of the H (only the blue and the digi-pak) nor the A (gold, black and pink only). Most of my 8cm singles are used, but I can live with that.
WOW!! The one thing I'd want to own is Ayu's autograph...

I'm curious, where does all this money you've spent come from if you don't mind me asking o_o... And how can you hide that much spending from your parents o_o

You can find Ayu's autograph on YAJ. They sell those strips that they shoot at her concerts, and all of those are autographed.

But it's printed (only the balls are signed by Ayu). And buying an autograph ? O_o
how to be sure that it's an original, And 95% of the interest, it's seeing Ayu sign it, in front of you, Unforgettable. :thud

Well meeting Ayu > getting anything signed. But some of us don't live in Japan or have an oportunity to see her :(

Yup, the 2006 calendar, Team Ayu edition, is signed, but it's printed too.

lol I dunno, I think if I ever meet AYu I wouldn't care about her signing anything. I would be like "Ayuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu~!" and then pass out or something lol

Oh and I just bought appears sealed! 2000yen but it also had Fly High sealed, so I guess it wasn't to pricy xD

And you saying you buying appears reminded me to buy the one I've been watching for...weeks on eBay. >___< lol It's seriously been on there for a week or two and no one's bought it. It's not sealed, but it has the obi and looks like it's in perfect condition.

Really? I think she signs a few of them, 'coz I'm pretty sure I saw her signing some of those strips on the AT07 documentary... I probably wouldn't buy her autograph online, unless I somehow knew it was absolutely official...

Are the 10th anniversary stamps and ASIA TOUR 2007 A ~Tour of Secret~ TOUR BOOK regarded as rare?

Nah, you can buy the stamp sets at the concerts. That's where they originally sold them before they were released in postal offices, though.

I'd rather not spend $60 on that set, though. Honestly, it would be a lot cheaper just to get it and get a frame sort it. >________< That frame must be made out of gold or something... lol

I think it's just that one being kept in a frame, though...if I remember correctly, the stamp sheet comes in a folder of some sort...

So how long did it take everyone to get what they have now? For me...I started collecting November 2006 (when Secret came out =D), so about a year and a half now.

i started collecting because my bday was on march 29th, so I was like Dad can i get some cds.... and well yea I guess my bday present is still going on :P

i preordered new countdown, My Story dvd audio and I Am))) HAPPY ME!!!(it's also my present from me for my birthday that was 8th of march)

When I bought my stamps at the concert venue, there were no frames like the plastic one pictured with the tour goods. It's in a folder, like someone previously wrote.

I started collecting the moment I bought my first Ayu single, back in 2002.

I bought my first Ayu cd, in january 2004. (endless sorrow single)
I didn't know that I could find Ayu items on ebay at that time, thus I bought new, almost all my cds.
Now, then I see some cd for 1/10 of the original price.. :headache
Even worse, when I began to buy stuff on ebay, I didn't know about Yahoo auction, and I've paid some items an insane price compared to Yahoo auctions..
After seeing Ayu in february, I though that I will stop to buy new stuff...
I've stopped one month.. and now back to crazyness :D

ummm my first cd was in the beginnning of the year at japan, wen my friend told me to buy GUILTY, so i did in Shinjuku ...the first press CD + DVD + Photobook
at first i said no i wouldn't buy it
but then i was like meh might as well, then wen i came back he already got it for twice the price here in Melbourne,
and now umm...i've got the whole discography released by Avex wif a few doubles esp the limited editions + some goods <3 S2

and those included the 3 limited ones except fly high and kanariya xD
then moj went off for 2 weeks coz he was moving houses
then came back after and now u guys all know him so his prices are crazy now
but shipping is ridiculously fast and cheap

Right now I'm collecting all of Ayu's singles (8cm not included/just CD only) since I have all her studio albums. Afterwards I plan to focus on remix albums and then concert DVDs. I also collect posters if I like the image enough.

However, I don't collect much other items unless it's just something really awesome. When I go back to Japan I might see what I can find. =)

Just look at the way the 'A' symbole is curved. Ayu's merchandise with A symboles are very thick and never that big. It's definitely not official.

I would get a concert ball, but they are so expensive and I wouldn't want any other color than pink. So I hope to get one when I go to her concert next April xD

Hum, It's weird, usually, we see very few signed balls..
But since they have sold balls, as concert goodies, plenty of them... :innocent
For me all the blue/rose balls, with the A logo + Ayumi Hamasaki on it (like the ones they had sold) are fake, signed by the seller. :rolleyes

Yes, Ayu and her dancers throw balls during concerts. Ayu's are pink, the dancers' are blue.
*Sigh* the two times I was very close to the stage, she didn't throw balls. I was disappointed. But she did throw her wristbands...

I'm not really a collector per se...

I do have the first pressing of A BEST Black and White... I wanted them for the concert and documentary. Lol.

I'm currently in the process of getting all her concerts on DVD >=).

What are my chances of getting the Complete Live Box DVDs? lol

I think there's one on ebay, somewhat overpriced. But there's plenty on Yahoo Japan, so if you can bid on YJ, high chance! :p

I really wanted Secret + DVD but my friend who visited Japan actually bought that album for me and didn't know, but I love it all the same anyway :)

Wish I could post a picture of all of it together, its really impressive i must say, it really makes me excited, like an Ayumi overload, hahaha!

She usually "combines" her wrist bands, and throws them out.

I've never seen those sold before, though... (The wristbands she throws out at the end of each concert.)

I suppose because there's no "real" way to know they are hers. Unless u did a DNA exam or something lol, or if she signed them but she doesn't

lol Yeah, it would be pretty hard to say "THESE ARE WRISTBAND'S THAT AYU WORE, SWEAT AND ALL" without an autograph or any kinda proof. XD I wouldn't sell mine, though...Ayu wore them!! lol

Ayumi - A style photobook?!

The only image I've managed to find of it was on primenova and it's tiny as and the yesasia links attached on the website has been removed from its origin. Now what? Does anybody else have this photobook and can tell me it's retail value or any other details about it. Other than the fact its release on 1st May 2000 Xp. Thanks!

I won the A Book and it's really lovely, probably one of my favourite photobooks.
If I'm correct the costumes featured in the photobook are ones that Ayu designed herself. With the photobook comes a little diary all handwritten by Ayu and a 'style book' in which rough sketches and designs of the costumes are shown. There are many pages in the photobook, it's really thick and house in a lovely plastic case with an embossed A on it.

It's out of print now, so it's pretty rare. You're best bet is finding it on YAJ, which is where I got it, and for pretty cheap too :)
I think it's a great addition for a collector. ^.^

50 bucks for 34 CD's, A Book, a few DVDs and VHS's
quite a cheap set
was one that was 50 bucks for 60 CD's but i won the 34 CD's one so i decided not to get it
shipping was already bad enuf at 90 bucks...=\
