at first i didnt really like DUES but after a few more listens, i actually quite like it.

I think it's okay. It's like Keep The Faith for me. It doesn't grab me at all like LIPS or yorokobi no uta do.

I'm glad HEART STATION's moving up the ranks. It's good that Prisoner Of Love is helping album sales instead of single sales - as a re-cut single, it doesn't need to hit #1.

I think it would be lovely if Hikki took the crown from Superfly tomorrow but that's okay. She's still selling strongly and will hit the million in no time!

considering that HS has not left the top10 since it was released 10 weeks ago it's an amazing feat isn't it ?

Does anyone know which albums will be released this summer? Part of me hopes they aren't very good albums, or albums by unknown artists, just so HEART STATION will have less competition. :)

Well, their last album only sold 350k~... that's not that great. I'm sure after week 1 it will fall out of the top 200 lol. And is it true that the new CD's called "Queen of Pirates"? :roflmao

hmmm, it's hard to judge, but i think "KAT-TUN III -Queen of Pirates-" will sell 300k-350k its first week. i think it will do better than "cartoon KAT-TUN II You" because JIN~ is back, there's a DVD w/ DON'T U EVER STOP -Mini Movie-, & the singles were better around this time.

i highly doubt it will have the staying power like the singles though.

Well, it's pretty well known that JE singles do amazingly well, but their albums are full of fail. I'm pretty sure it will do worse than their last album.

Also, wow @ Hikki. HEART STATION is highest selling album this week on the yearly chart in the top 40.

usually for JE's case , their singles can sell by the bulkload but when comes to albums it's a totally different issue .

it seems like that their album's chart life is quite short unlike singles

^ i'd say that's a correct assumption. :) JE singles do better because they're promoted better. singles are the ones with the tie-in, it's affordable, & have lots of collector items. the only people that buy the album are the core fanbase, really.

i wouldn't be surprised if K-T's new album sold less then the singles that are in the album. (like 300k 1st week, instead of 350k that LIPS or Keep the faith got its first week)

No you're right, they usually sell way worse than their singles. But actually, JE singles don't have a very long chart life either. Like how LIPS went from 350k to 34k in one week.

:laugh I didn't know how to say it, so I probably worded it confusingly. On the chart that ranks all of the albums so far for 2008, Hikki is the highest-selling person in the top 40 this week. No one else in the top 40 yearly chart sold more than 20k this week, which means she is doing really well compared to everyone else ;)

I hope Moon Crying doesn't have higher first week sales than Mirrorcle World, although it probably will. I like Mirrorcle World more, but Fergie on Moon Crying will boost sales I suppose.

^I agree. Kuu hasn't had a 100k first week sale since last July and with the scandal still following her, she'll be lucky to get 60k her first week. =/

Moon Crying better have better 1st week sales than Mirrorcle World for me. 4 songs with beautiful covers; Kuu's back from hiatus; with good promotion, it totally can do better I think

I honestly hope she gets her best sales in a while with this single cause she totally deserves it

The covers for Moon Crying are nice. I don't know - the scandal has hurt her, but at the same time, consumers will be intrigued by what she comes up with afterwards. Ballads seem to sell well and the covers are some of her best, so I get the feeling sales may go up. It's a bit of a toss-up, but Fergie will definitely help.

Well it's true the scandal put a big damper on Kingdom but it's been a while so I think for the most part, that's blown enough.

True, her ballads do well and she has Lady Go! which she will most likely perform at a-nation alongside with Moon Crying.

Fergie...That Ain't Cool could help as well but at the same time, the single is being promoted as MOON with Moon Crying being the lead song on the single so I wouldn't count on her helping too much.

I think with the proper promotion and depending on the competition during her 1st week and the following ~6 weeks, single sales can go well.

All I can say is I'm really looking forward to seeing how the single will do. It's her first release post-scandal, so this could show that she's recovered or that she's still hurting.

Gee, I never thought that ai's popularity will decrease THAT much/low and so quick X___X.
It's so wierd.
Last year she had an album (even if it's a compilation) thats sold over 700,000 and this year she had an album that barely sold 370,000 and a double a-side single that barely pushes the 50,000 (though maybe will reach 70,000 or something)...

I'm surprised Ai's single isn't selling higher. The songs weren't very impressive in my opinion, but they certainly weren't bad either.

I'm surpised that she's doing so badly but not surprised she's doing badly. Sadly, she should have stepped her game up with this single.

I was hoping she'd try a different genre or have different composers for this single, but alas, no.
