Ayumi + youtube

Why does AXEX feel the need to basicly get rid of EVERY Ayumi video on youtube. Okay I understand if they would want to take off PVS/footage from concerts but there is no need to take off the other videos..especially live performances of her at various shows like HEYx3 and Utaban. What are they seriously thinking?

Someone needs to teach AXEX how to utilize youtube. :headache

fanmail 29th May 2008 02:40 AM

because avex <3 money.

DOLCE 29th May 2008 02:49 AM

Well they should learn to like post previews of songs/pvs, and why haven't they learned about veoh/daily motion yet?

:gunAXEX:eviltongu

Bad Wolf 29th May 2008 03:42 AM

I don't get it either, it's honestly so stupid :| Other artists - Japanese and domestic/US ones - aren't pulled off of Youtube. And I wonder how Ayu videos are flagged and taken down so quickly D:

LacusClyne 29th May 2008 03:43 AM

it's not just ayu, all of avex artists' videos have been removed, that's why i'm very careful when i upload videos, normally i'll type the tag under AyumiHamasaki or KodaKumi, all in a row, it's harder to trace. my videos can last there for a month.

They HAVE learned about Veoh. They had some of my Ayu videos there removed. :(

A lot of times it's the tv station who wants it removed, maybe by request from Avex.

sibby 29th May 2008 04:36 AM

only crunchyroll left. ITS LIKE MY PV POD :D @_@ if they find out about it. im so dead. i cant watch my M from a musuem anymore T^T

where can i watch HEYx3 nowadays manxzxz :(

GRACE 29th May 2008 04:38 AM

Usually I don't include her name or the song titles when I post her videos >.>... It's not just Ayu, Avex or someone POUNCED on my BLACK DIAMOND PV and had it removed within a day of being posted.

Tom Punks 29th May 2008 04:39 AM

^ Then how do we find it? <<

GRACE 29th May 2008 04:41 AM

I abbreviate it. Like for my PV of Mirrorcle World, I called it ah-mw or the kiss o kill AT07 preformance, ah-kok. Or the rare case of the my name's WOMEN PV, which I titled my name's...

Tom Punks 29th May 2008 04:42 AM

^ I just decided to look up ah - kok and I guess you're Animesama? ^o)

GRACE 29th May 2008 04:49 AM

XP Yep. Granted the three I named are all I got, it's easy to disguise the PVs like that, I remember Kingdom PVs for Kuu where disguised similarly, I think they're still up actually...

se7entheaven 29th May 2008 05:09 AM

ya i usually use crunchyroll ^^V

pommy48 29th May 2008 05:11 AM

only crunchyroll left, i've uploaded like 145 ayu videos alone~i uploaded her pvs on veoh, but they got removed~

Melon Panda 29th May 2008 05:34 AM

YouTube helps promote Ayumi, which brings in more profit - Avex should know this. YouTube also introduces Ayumi to international fans who have difficulty finding her products or have never heard her before.

That discussion is years old, but the record and movie companies still fight it. I doubt they'll ever realize the positive sides of pirating.

I must agree with that. To think that Ayu was never popular here in the Philippines (you won't hear anyone talking about Ayumi here often, only about BoA, Utada Hikaru, Yui and some more j-pop artists but never her.), the only way for her few existing filipino fans to know about her is the internet.

Popularity is important for a celebrity. If Ayu is popular almost everywhere, many more people will buy her products and more will come to her concerts as well.

That's a great idea~
Can I subscribe to your vids? :D

ownsarai 29th May 2008 08:51 AM

I had made a lot of fanvideos of Ayu before and most of them got pulled within a month of being posted. After I got the message "This video has been removed because of Avex copyright infringement" I decided to take all of them down to avoid being suspended. :(

KuroixShiroi_Namida 29th May 2008 09:12 AM

lol i got banned once for uploading her pv's :mini

Bad Wolf 29th May 2008 09:21 AM

keep on creatively fighting the system, guys - though i hope it doesn't land you in trouble...

Mari-chan 29th May 2008 11:08 AM

Ah.. it is nonsens from Avex to delete such Videos. You can see it on TV (if you can watch japanese TV) and pay nothing. So.. they can not earn anything with that videos. So.. it makes no different, if the Videos are on Youtube or not. (-.-)'''

KarenPang 29th May 2008 11:50 AM

it's not just Avex , Sony BMG/DefSTAR is also like that too !

I uploaded live performances of Ken Hirai on youtube & almost everyone of them got taken down due to copyright infringement :grumpy

*Totoo yun.
(*Thats true)

Filipino music cravings are mostly Westerners or Chinese type.
There are very few knew about Jpop except Ayu which is SELDOMLY talked or listened to her music.
They all know about Jpop music are from those "recycled" anime or Hikki-chan(Utada) or YUI or BoA. And that's it.

I felt that im the only Filipino fan for Ayu here in my country(But im not now!).

Anyways, it is really inportant to keep the PVs or LIVE performances on streaming video sites especially from YouTube so that many people will discover the GENUINE music from her.
Thank God that the CrunchyRoll DIDN'T REMOVE those!

Im still wondering why they remove those LIVE performances when its not from AVEX not from the TV station. :(

Suteisi 29th May 2008 02:41 PM

I stopped using YouTube for anything Japanese, because well... it's crap.

If you want to see Ayu's videos and EVEN MORE. Go on www.dailymotion.com, make a search for Ayumi Hamasaki and you'll find LOTS AND LOTS of her videos, and more. I viewed a lot of small parts of her concerts, making of on there, and also some videos fan recorded when she was in Paris, signing autographes.

kendelle 29th May 2008 03:46 PM

That sucks. AVEX should try and break the online market, otherwise they'll lost out on sales in the end :P

Hope they never find AHS!!

Deneb 29th May 2008 03:54 PM

because if pvs can be watch via youtube, no one would be buying cd+dvd version :laugh that's 10usd gone each :P

no, i don't think that you re right. In Youtube you will not get PV in such good quality as dvd.

Let's write letter to AVEX!!!!!!!

sibby 29th May 2008 05:33 PM

and than they close ahs O_O ^

okay just kidding. but man. i dont mind :3

but even if they upload the video on youtube. I'LL STILL BUY THE DVD. cause its. ayumi >_> and and i want to OWN it. HAHA

Hamasaki_Vaan 29th May 2008 06:29 PM

Youtube doesn´t help to sales... Lol

Then why can't they just upload previews/CMS promoting the product @_@?

It sucks if a new fan or just anyone is looking for videos on Ayumi and all they find are random karaoke videos and Ayu forgetting the lyrics to Voyage :irked

I agree with this so much. The internet is international television, so many more people around the world would get to know Ayu and buy her releases if only avex would let it be! Seriously. How stupid are they?

That is so not true o_o; The quality is ridiculous. At Veoh, you can download the video at the original quality of the file, but at YT you can't ~ in theory, you can't download the file at all. There are MANY places -AHS included, of course- where you can download her PVs in MUCH higher quality (lossless, even), so why would the people wanting to save up those 10 bucks go to Youtube of all places? There are artists whose videos don't get deleted so fast, if someone tells me they've actually heard of someone downloading the videos from YT and burning them to a DVD to play outside the computer, I'll be... very disappointed in the human kind lol.

vuong22 29th May 2008 11:08 PM

they have alsom pulled most of Boa's videos off too

perfectodub 29th May 2008 11:23 PM

well..a friend of mine, she studies psychology said me that Japanese people
tend to develop a personality with paranohia...maybe thats the anwer for the AVEX obsession LOL

HAhahaha XD. Maybe.. :P

~*Mabushii*~ 30th May 2008 01:33 AM

Are you the person who asked that on my Youtube???

Someone asked why they could only find People singing Ayu's songs and not the REAL PV's.. I answered because Avex pulls em... hmm
