Best Koda Kumi 4 Song Single
 

So which one do you like the most? I personally like them all and think they all have big strengths and weaknesses. In my opinion, each one had one amazing song (人魚姫, FREAKY, and That Ain't Cool) and one that just wasn't that great (JUICY, 空, and Once Again). The rest were good but not amazing.

I do think MOON was the most consistently good though, since I loved both Moon Crying and That Ain't Cool, and do really like Lady Go! Once Again I don't love but it's definitely listenable, so I choose MOON.

I have to got with FREAKY. That is my absolute fave 4 song single. FREAKY itself is what makes the single so hot. :heart 4 hot wave wasn't that damn hot to begin with and MOON just sucked ass. =/

4 hot wave~

+ The storyline was good.
+ The songs were all really well produced.
+ The photoshoot was sexy ;P

- The interludes were out of place for a single.
- I got bored of the songs quickly.
- "With your smile" and "Ningyohime" were cheesy and lame, respectively.

FREAKY~

+ "FREAKY" was super catchy.
+ The photoshoot was really fresh, I loved the outfits.

- The single was, overall, a let down after "BUT".
- The "FREAKY" video was lame-ness.

MOON~

+ Songs are a fresh sound for Koda.
+ Gorgeous covers.

- The covers don't say "Summer single" to me.
- Ballad as part of a Summer single - a BIG :no:no.

Despite their negativeties, I think that Koda's 4 a-side singles are her strongest, so I voted "I love them all". :)

4 hot wave. I don't consider Kumi to "experiment" like apparently other people do from looking at her official thread, but she at least did try out some rock and it worked really well for her. :D It also had JUICY which IMO was better than any of her other songs of that style since 4 hot wave, I'll be there which had a really pretty PV and is a nice summer song, and With your smile which is catchy but unfortunately started the trend of whatever songs it was people all think sound alike.

FREAKY wasn't very good IMO, since the only memorable song from it was FREAKY itself (which I never, ever listen to). The other songs were okay, recycled, or just plain bad.

And I didn't like a single song from MOON so I don't have anything to say for it. ;)

MOON. i like all of the songs on it so much and can't stop listening to it.

I like 'MOON' the most out of these but 'FREAKY' comes close as well.

for me it's Freaky

When I've first listened to it I became addicted.
for me it's really a single that I will listen to every summer
I love the songs~
I think the covers are great and it has that summer feeling

4 hot wave

+ All the songs are good (I'll be there, With your smile) or amazing (JUICY, Ningyo Hime)... These last two used to be my fav songs of her~
+ Every track are different. This single is a good mix of Koda Kumi music.
+ All songs have PV & 2 of them (JUICY, Ningyo Hime) are like her last really good PVs~
+ TV performances of 4 hot wave are absolutely great (band, nice hairstyle, nice outfit, nice dancing...)


- Interludes are a bit bland, not a bad idea but i would prefer instrumentals
- Covers are probably the most crappy covers of Kuu :s
- No making of PV :s


FREAKY
+ Great covers (especially the CD+DVD)
+ FREAKY is a nice song

- All the B-Sides are lame
- Both PVs are crappy, especially RFYL which is the biggest crap never released
- The way she promoted the single was ****in' boring (B Sides over A Sides)


MOON
+ Best single cover ever
+ Every songs are different (contrary to FREAKY)
+ The whole single is enjoyable. All songs are well produced
+ The PVs (even if they're not that great) are a step up from crappy Kingdom PVs.
+ First time a ballad is the main track of one of her summer single

- The featuring is a bit disappointed at first (but still rather enjoyable after few plays)
- Even if the song are good, any song is really "WOOOW"



I enjoyed both 4 hot wave & MOON but i hated FREAKY with a passion... But still, i think 4 hot wave is better (it's her best single imo) especially because of Ningyo Hime & JUICY.

I still haven't listened to all of MOON so I'll vote later.

But so far:

-FREAKY was a piece of ****. All songs were THIS horrible.
-MOON CRYING is such a lame song....I was about to fall asleep. That Ain't Cool is really really good, but seriously, truth be said, that ain't cool that the song is not Kumi's. She seriously doesn't sing in that song. She just lend her body to the PV and her name to the song - case finished.

JUICY was hot even though I didn't like it at first (the same goes for Ningyo Hime). I'll be there is amazing, I love it.

So far I'm inclined for 4 HOT WAVE! Still missing two songs from MOON to listen to and have a solid opinion..

FREAKY with 4 hot wave coming in a close second.

FREAKY, love the title track and the other songs are OK.

MOON, I couldn't really get into FREAKY that much
