K-pop & C-pop suggestions
I want to listen to more Asian music but I don't know where to start. I am especially interested in Korean pop & Chinese pop music. I never listened to any C-pop artists & the only K-pop artist I listen to is BoA. So, I need suggestions!! I prefer female vocalists who are in their teens-early 30's for some reason. & please tell me a bit about them or post a video or a fansite or something.

Lena Park Lee So Young (listen to LA LA LA and Grace) Park ki Young (her stuff is rare, however I have some albums here if you are interested) And a new artist is Son Dam Bi! I definitely suggest A'ST1 - 1, 2, 3, 4, Back Single. Somewhere in the download section is the single ripped in 320kbps if you're a HQ lover lol XD
SS501's Deja Vu single, I thought was pretty solid. I never really got into My Destiny, but the other two songs are absolute love. I don't know if you like some of the ballady groups, but I recommend Brown Eyes' third jib. Their latest album in 5 years lol, I love it to death! If you're into Hip Hop stuff, Epik High is good as well. (Fan, Love Love Love, One, & Breakdown) Onto some females haha :D KARA, I personally love these girls a lot, but their main vocalist had to leave the group due to her father's wishes :\ Some dancey tunes, you can try Lee Hyori, especially her song 10 Minutes haha I also personally find Seeya as awesome singers, though lyric wise their music's sad, but their vocals are wonderful. Davich wouldn't be a bad try if you're interested in Seeya. Brown Eyed Girls definitely. They're a more mature group like Seeya, but their song LOVE is really cute. I believe their latest single Ready to LOVE is similar to LOVE style wise, but I'm not super sure since I haven't downlaoded the song yet. Son Dam Bi<3 AH I adore her to death :D Cry Eye is a wonderful single & Bad Boy isn't a bad mini-album as well. Tae Yang from Big Bang, his music is pretty good. I especially like Only Look at Me & My Prayer. Some old school KPOP would be 1TYM, the seniors of Big Bang bascially lol :X Teddy participated in Only Look at Me & My Prayer on Tae Yang's mini-album. Taebin's first solo album isn't bad, I love it a lot lol TSZX The Grace! These girls rock! They can sing & dance well, it's a shame that they're not too popular in Korea. Wheesung! Almost forgot him. I don't really follow him, but he's a really talented guy ^^ Love is Delicious from his 5th album & Touch ft. Younha are some songs I recommend. Wonder Girls as some have stated, you can't go wrong with their catchy music. Jewelry! I absolutely love their song One More Time, some people see it as the Ahjumma version of Tell Me by Wonder Girls :P Everybody SHH! is catchy as well, but I never really grew onto the song. I didn't follow them previously, so I don't know what else to recommend. Haha's digital single, You Are My Destiny is uberly cute. I think you'd like this song a lot lol Tomorrow & I Can't Help Missing You from the drama Over the Rainbow, sung by Hwanhee are good songs. SHINee's debut song Replay (Noona is Pretty) is a catchy track as well. TPL & Promise U by Anyband is a must listen. Both of these songs were for a Samsung Anycall CM/MV thing lol I'm definitely more of a Kpop listener at the moment, so yeah I got a bunch. If you were interested in some, but you can't find them just PM me. I don't really listen to Cpop, but I have a few. I'd recommend Angela Zhang. I don't really listen to her, but the tracks "Don't Want to Understand", "Can (You) Say Love Bravely" & "口袋的天空" are songs I recommend XD Elva Hsiao is a must listen, I'm still listening to her latest album, but I find her music to be good. Elva > Jolin :P F.I.R. definitely, their older albums are better. I didn't like their last album, Love Diva at all lol (My) Hands Letting Go by Li Sheng Jie is a wonderful song. People told me that it makes them think about their ex? -shrug- Zhang Li Yin is good as well, her debut album wasn't as strong as I hoped it be, but it's pretty good overall. Though I found a few tracks to be a total bore. That's all I got for Cpop, as you can tell I don't listen to Cpop much lol. Ah crap I wrote a bunch, woops? |
